Our first quote (another company) was; replace the unit because the parts were unavailable or too expensive to modify. I also felt this first company was reading from a script and were primed to sell not repair. I told Mosqueda's the situation and after a few hours I got a call from the technician stating; the unit is now running at optimal levels. They fixed it for a fraction of what we were expecting. They came out to service my unit only to tell me It was going to cost $6000 to fix and that was not even a guarantee that it would fix it. I checked around and had the unit fixed for $600. Had a minor heater issue recently and I found this local business on Google with good reviews -Yelp only had one review. After contacting a few other's I chose to go with Mosqueda's. I was able to get a next day appointment. The guy who showed up was the owner, he was on time and answered every question I had. The owner was here for about a hour, he replaced a part that went out and cleaned the unit. I was really happy with the service and professionalism I received. I ended up getting the continued service which includes 2 service visits per year to checkup and maintenance both the heater and air conditioning. Our A/C unit stopped working properly. I called one of the larger outfits to have a look at it and get an estimate for repair or replacement. It turns out, that was not my best decision. I quickLee realized why the bigger outfits can afford billboards on the freeway and bigger new vans with cool graphics on the side. After I came to grips with the estimated cost of fixing my A/C, and decided I could not afford to take out a small business loan to pay for it, I called a few of the smaller companies who do the same work. I was pleasantly surprised with the response I received from Mosqueda's. They came out and examined my unit, then gave me the estimate to repair or replace. After a little more consultation and consideration, it was decided that repair of a 20 year old unit wasn't really an option that could be relied upon. I received an emailed estimate from the owner, Ernesto. I was actually shocked at the price difference between Mosqueda's and the larger outfit. It was remarkable and refreshing. I felt completely confident hiring them to replace my A/C unit. Ernesto was extremely helpful with any questions I had and even some I didn't even know I wanted to ask. He ordered the equipment and had everything ready for installation the following week. Install day was a breeze. The guys were very professional and courteous. And if they got upset about my watching from time to time, they didn't let on. They finished the installation in one day. And, Ernesto was there to help me with setup and learning the new thermostat. We've been lucky so far with our weather and haven't actually needed to use it a whole lot. We had been without a heater for about a month; then when hot weather was hot enough, our air did not work, as the compressor had gone out in Fall. I had been cold-blooded and freezing anyway so withstood what I could. Then both systems did not work. Enter a very helpful serviceman and helped us arrange for new unit to be installed this weekend. He also lent us a portable unit for cooling, especially useful during the day it was 106 degrees. He went above his duty in doing this; we needed that. He explained all that was involved. This is the worst place ever you can go to for your air conditioning needs. We wanted our AC serviced to prevent it from breaking down in the future, it was working just fine and they gave us a price and once they got here they doubled the price and they kept trying to make pay for services that weren't needed. After we declined they broke our thermostat which my husband witnessed and they wanted to charge us for it. We had them put a new thermostat due to their technician breaking it and they wanted to charge us more that $500 and we refused to pay for what their technician broke. The owner then called my husband and cursed him out and they called the police on us! PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!!! Great service ! Ernesto was thorough in the maintaining of my Air Conditioner. Replaced my filters and cleaned the return vent (something no one has ever done) . Also wore shoe covers and covered my clothes and carpet while accessing the attic. He was professional and kept my house clean all while being very reasonable in pricing. This company came to fix my A/C unit and I was beyond satisfied! I've had issues the past few Summers with other companies, because they seemed to pass the buck every time I had a repair. Could not have had a better experience with Ernesto! My mom's heater failed, so a neighbor called and had Ernesto come out on a Saturday morning. He was unable to do the repair until Monday morning. He arrived promptly and after a call to let us know he was on his way. He explained thoroughly the repairs needed and future issues to watch for. He also provided pictures of the system and sent them to us via email for future reference.
