We got the scone right away. The cashier forgot the cookie, but we were able to go back and get it. The chai tea latte was good. My wife wasn't impressed with the scone. She thought it was dry and didn't taste like anything. I waited a little over 10 minutes for my egg sandwich to be prepared (and they weren't that busy). It was okay. It sufficed for fuel. If you need something on your way to Butchart Gardens, this is convenient, but I would probably try some place else for food on the way. The chai tea latte was quick though.

We haven't been here for over a year and decided to pop by yesterday... We placed our order for 2 mochas, the girl at the counter couldn't understand us and it took a few times to repeat it to her until she understood. We sat down and waited over 10 minutes for our lattes, there was only one other couple inside @11 am. After waiting for 10 minutes, the girl at the desk asked if we wanted to order anything to which I replied we already did and have been waiting quite a while. The mocha was nothing like it used to be, the foam was Ick and the coffee was bitter. Sadly this place and made a turn for the worse and with many other coffee places in the area we won't be back.

And, to top it off, the shop owner (?) came up and handed me a peach pastry that is vegan saying "It's not often that dairy-free people get to enjoy a sweet." The protein* smoothie couldn't be made properly because they were out of the protein powder. They offered to substitute collagen instead - not the same thing but ok. no discount. no acknowledgement. I understand that restaurants run out of items occasionally, but between most of the menu being unavailable, the outrageous price for the quality of the output, missing ingredients, and the complete lack of an apology or acknowledgment, this was a very disappointing experience.

It was flaky, with a delicate sweetness from the fruits and a subtle floral note from the rosewater. You can really taste the dedication in these pastries. I'd recommend going early in the day as many of their items tend to sell out quick.
