Dr. Moses was wonderful. Great selection of glasses, too! The prices seemed fair. For sure I will return.

Dr J is amazing and this office is the most professional, friendly, and well trained staff I've…read moreever had the privilege of working with. I have referred many people, and will continue to do so. Probably my favorite eye doctor and center I've ever worked with in 30+ years of wearing eye glasses. Highly recommended!

After having moved to the area 2 yrs ago, I needed an eye exam so decided, based up overall review…read moreratings to try the CP Eye Care. A student (who didn't seem trained or competent) read my eye pressure which took him several tries. Next, I saw the doctor who was very personable. After selecting frames, I was told that my TWO pair of glasses would be in within 10 working days/2 wks (which I thought was extensive - previous IL eye doctor delivered in a few days). I called a few times to check on them (never received a call) and was told that ONE pair was in. Asked the student which pair and he indicated that distance was in. Asked him when reading glasses would be in and was told within the next day or two. Picked up the "distance" glasses only to discover they were actually "reading". So I kept calling and could NOT get a definitive answer nor did anyone offer to check with the lab. Finally, I called and asked for the doctor (who was "with other patients" then never called me back until I called AGAIN and left ANOTHER message). He said he made a mistake with the order (yet never notified me of a delay) then the next day told me lab needed to reorder glass as it came in damage (I'm smelling a run around). Told him I wanted to cancel the back order and would never return to this provider. The next day all of a sudden, (he never mentioned my refund) and told me glasses would be in within a day or two. When they finally came in, NO ONE on either occasion sat with me to ensure glasses (which I paid $900+ for) fit correctly, I had to ask for a case both times and had to ask for an itemized bill (which I should have received before the order was placed). It would take a Philadelphia Lawyer to figure out the bill with all the ancillary charges on the bill. I will happily drive back to IL to my PROFESSIONAL and WELL-TRAINED optical office where they have their act together. WOULD NOT RECOMMENT!!!!

I had to find a new optometrists as my existing one was moving further out and no longer provides…read moreeye glasses service in-house. So I checked Yelp and found this gem! I checked their website and I booked an appointment online they seem tech savvy. As a new patient I filled out the form online ahead of time before my appointment which was great to do. I even got a text reminder of my appointment which was cool! They are located within a strip mall so there was plenty of parking. When I arrived it's a small store front. I was greeted by them. The staff was very friendly. They were all wearing mask at the time. I wish I was able to see their smiling faces but each their own. They have all assortments of eyeglasses and sunglasses including sport eyeglasses. They have a website so check out their name brands. They will even fit your lenses if you bring in your own frames from other stores or online which is good to know. And that is what I ended up doing. I didn't find a low bridge/Asian fitted glasses for myself in their store that I liked so I wanted to use my existing glasses that I use for work with new lenses. Now here's where I talk about my great customer experience... There was a patient ahead of me so while I was waiting I was talking to their opt tech Jamie and told him that I wanted to see if he can fix my favorite eye glasses arms for me as I had them adjusted many time by Walmart opt tech last year who didn't do a great job and was impatient with me and he told me that they adjusted/damaged the arms so much he wasn't able to fix them right for me. But instead he has an idea and checked ray ban website and he said let's see if they are still in warranty by them. He helped me set up a new customer account on his laptop, we took some pictures and we upload it and Ray Ban replied back and said it was out of warranty but they will replace the arms for $99 when I ship it out to them, oh yeah done! My model is a low bridge/Asian fit frames that were an old model but love the black and red color and style that fits my face and I'm shipping them out. And once I get them back I will have this place fit my new bifocal lens. They also offer lenses for those who work all day in front of the computer screen that are Not with that weird blue glare tint and shaded that i'm currently using. I'm NOT a fan wearing that eyeglasses as I look like a fly and I know people are staring at my blue tins glare. Luckily I have an older pair of glasses that I can still use for now while I ship out my glasses for repair :) One thing to keep in mind Dr Carolyn Dienes is very detailed oriented not sure if it's because I'm a first time patient as she did take her time with me. I do love that I'm not rushing through my appointment and I'm willing to wait for my turn. It's a family owned business and they all help out each other including the doctor helping her patients pick out glasses and answering the front desk phone when they were getting busy. I'm one to look for someone to take their time with me and not upsell their products which I didn't feel like that at all. They have the most current systems here for testing your eyes which is good. I have been unhappy with wearing hard lenses as I thought I had dry eye syndrome but it's clogged tear ducts. She checked my vision as I need bifocals. So I have been trying out her trials they are monthly lenses one to see far distance and one eye to see near like a menu and so far a week of the first trial I love love it! From wearing my old hard lenses for only a couple of hours I can tolerate until it gets dry and blurry to wearing these trial soft lenses for stigmatism that I can't tell I'm wearing them! I was wearing them all day even at the gym! I having stigmatism the lenses didn't even rotate around my eyes at all yay! Kid you not, I almost started tearing up of joy! I can see no more fogged up glasses while working out at the gym! She noticed clogged tear ducts and recommend me to purchase off of Amazon these heating eye mask called Burder. I'm currently using the heated mask to help loosen the clog tear ducts and for me to continue taking fish oil supplements this will help. It's been great so far that I do it 1-2 times a day for 10 minutes and it seems to be working-teary eyes. One thing too of a great customer experience, I'm also able to email Dr. Dienes if anything related to my vision. Emailing her, she respond back within 24 hours so cool! I'm even encouraging my hubby to see her now as she can give her opinion about lasik that he wanted to do. It's not for me.. Overall, I'm very happy with this place they take their time so if you are the type you want to get in and out the door quick then go down a couple of stores to the typical chain business....pick a number. If you want quality care that takes their time to get to know you then check this place out!

My family had been patients of the St John location for many years, until Vision Boutique purchased…read morethem. (And Vision Boutique has been great.) The "lab" in beecher though.... Where shall I start? First, my prescription has changed more frequently in recent years. When the most recent prescription was sent to the Beecher location (Which now is in the back closet of a hardware store) they sent two sets of frames (one sunglasses and one every day glasses) to two seperate labs. Both pairs had to be remade multiple times prior to them ever shipping them back to Beecher, so it took weeks to get the sunglasses, and months to get the every day glasses. I have demanding hours at work, so I picked them up in St John, very quickly tried them on, they fit, and I went home. Over the following days, as I tried to get used to them, my left eye simply would not focus. I called them, and yes some time had passed, but the woman working behind the desk at Beecher was more interested in how much time had passed and was not at all interested in what the actual issue was. I went back to my optometrist to have the prescription checked, they verified that the prescription was correct. When they examined both sets of glasses they could visibly see that the optical center in both left lenses was too far to the right. (Mind you, I was never measured by metropolitan when these glasses were ordered.) So I went back to Metropolitan in the closet behind the hardware store, and again, the woman behind the counter was more interested in winning an argument than she was in taking care of the issue. She offered to send them back to the labs they went to, and again, I was not measured to see where my optical center was. It was blazingly obvious from her defensive attitude, and the fact that I was not measured that she would have most likely not have sent them anywhere, or sent them back to the labs with a post-it that said "please deny changes" or something like that, but that is only speculation. (How can a lab fix an optical center when you dont give them any idea as to where that center is, by having the patient put the glasses on, and then marking the lens to give the lab a clue...?) I have been in the healthcare field for almost 30 years, and it is incredibly frustrating, and disappointing that people like this are even loosely associated with healthcare, because there is no sense of taking care of people. They are only interested in winning arguments. My family and I are now looking for an eye doctor who is not associated, involved with, or in any way connected to Metropolitan eyecare. They simply do not care.

Dr. Patel saved my vision!…read more I've been going to Red Eye for many years. The service has always been good, and I like the photos they take of the inside of the eye to look for changes year-over-year. But this is only the tip of the iceberg. On March 8th I took a blow to the head. Seemingly nothing much. It hurt. It was annoying. I got on with my day. But, the next evening I noticed a flash of light kept popping up in the corner of my eye. A quick Goog told me it was likely an issue with my retina (none of the usual "it could be a cold, or cancer--just the one thing). I made an appointment online and Dr. Patel took a photo inside my eye. There was nothing to be seen. However, 2 weeks later as I sat at my desk minding my business, I saw a black wavy line in the corner of my eye. Something that moved with the liquid in my eye. Moments later, that black line was many fine black lines spider-webbing across my field of vision. In another minute, it was gone. I emailed Red Eye to see if I should panic now or sleep on it and then panic, not really expecting a reply since it was close to 5, and within a few minutes Dr. Patel called. She had me come in at 10am the next day, HER DAY OFF, 4 HOURS BEFORE HER FLIGHT. I was worried I was interfering with her vacation, especially if it was nothing, but she insisted. And it was not nothing. My retina had torn. Nothing could have been done to prevent it, but now that it happened, she acted quickly. She called and got me an appointment at Chicago Retina the same day. When I got there, the ophthalmologist said the tear could have become a far more serious detachment in a matter of days or even hours. I was able to get laser surgery that day to prevent further tearing. If Dr. Patel hadn't contacted me immediately, insisted I come in, sacrificed her time off...lots of "ifs" could have resulted in a delay in treatment that could have led to much more serious damage. I'm so grateful to her!
