Went here to celebrate a graduation. We ordered so much food. Their dishes come in two different portion sizes, but I couldn't even finish the smaller portion. We had everything from crab cakes, to crab imperial, salmon, Alfredo, chicken tenders and fries, and drinks. The "strong Island" lived up to its name and my mango margarita was delicious. The server was super kind and helpful and we all had a good time. I would definitely come here to eat again.
Visit this Mo's for my dad birthday dinner. As usual the service and staff are great. The restaurant is cleaned and maintained. However for me Mo's has lost its spark a bit. While the food and portions are still decent. Something for me has changed. Our food was a bit salty. The po boy was dry and lacked taste. While it still can be a go to for decent seafood. I feel like something is off. While I do miss the one on Eastern Ave. I was a regular before it burned down, maybe I'm just used to how they used to cook. As always check this place out!
Bree was a great server. Kind and quick. Plenty of parking and if you have reservations, you walk right in. This place has the best home style seafood. I love the stuffed shrimp and lobster crab imperial. The fried fish and fish sandwiches. I've tried all of the giant salads-you can't go wrong. The grab dip is amazing without the cream cheese taste and subtle seasoning. A definite staple if I'm in the Towson area craving large portion seafood with a casual pop-in with jeans and a ball cap vibe. No frills. Just carbs and butter. lol
The Context: As a visitor from Southern California, I was told that Mo's was THE place to get crab cakes in the greater Baltimore area, so naturally I had to listen to the locals' advice. Maybe due to the hype, I was a little underwhelmed. The Food: As a West Coaster, I have to say that the seafood on the East Coast is much better, whether it's New Hampshire or Georgia (or parts in between). Naturally, I had to have Mo's Lump Crab Cake with seafood macaroni salad as my chosen side. I added French fries as an extra side. The Good: The crab cake was indeed a big lump, about the size of a large saucer or small dessert plate and it was good ... but not amazing. The crab itself was moist and plump. But the seasoning and "cake" portions were just OK. When I added the house tartar sauce, the overall taste jumped to good, but still not amazing. The fries were solid and well seasoned, but again nothing that will blow you away. The restaurant itself was surprisingly spacious inside despite seeming smaller and crowded when looking from the outside. It's clean and appropriately decorated. Also our server was great. Polite, friendly, and efficient. He checked in on us at the right frequency -- not too often that it was annoying and not too little that we felt neglected; it was just right The Bad: The seafood macaroni salad was underwhelming. I didn't taste any seafood in it while the creaminess lacked any richness to it. The bathroom, while clean, seemed a little rundown. Plus the sink counter was unusually high -- not sure how kids and wheelchair-bound men would reach the faucet. The Ugly: Hmm, nothing crazy ugly here. I did enjoy the experience, though the price of $33 for one portion of crab cake (or $55 for two) did make me cringe a little, especially when considering that the taste didn't knock me out. The Conclusion: Even though the prices gave me pause, I do recognize that it is a seafood place, and seafood ain't cheap. And while the lump crab cake didn't totally wow me, I liked Mo's enough that I look forward to eating there again to try the other dishes. My true rating is 3.5 out of 5, but since I can't give half stars, I'll round up because the folks there were so nice.
Mo's will always hit the spot for me! I especially enjoy sitting at the bar where the staff is friendly and attentive. The food is always good and fresh and it's usually a nice vibe!
My first time in Baltimore visiting my God daughter who attends Morgan State. I was told the food was really good so I decided to try them out. I am a big seafood person so I was eager to have some crab cakes from Maryland. The ambiance was like a dive bar, I wouldn't come here dressed up. So basically dress causal. The service was okay (nothing to scream about) the staff was lingering around eating and drinking which I thought was a bit unprofessional. My waitress was a bit aggressive when it came to picking drinks and our food. My friend and I asked her what she would recommend and she was a little rude when we were indecisive and same with the drinks. I didn't like that the gratuity is added especially because it was only 2 of us eating at 3pm. I expect gratuity to be added for a bigger party at a later time, not during lunch/ happy hour. I liked the garlic mash potatoes, scallops and fried fish so that would be the only thing I would get if I ever go back.
Overall I enjoyed the seafood. The sides(not listed) weren't really good. The garlic mash and asparagus was really bland and lacked flavor. The oyster Rockefeller wasn't the best I've had but It wasn't bad. The crab cakes, shrimp and scallop and lobster were all good. I'm not a tartar sauce person they had some really good tartar sauce. The portions are extremely generous so you're bound to take food home. There were so many options on the menu so I'll be back to try more. This isn't a fancy place so you can come dressed relaxed. The bar was packed. I'm sure they have a great happy hour. The service was good but slightly slow that night. Overall I'll give this a 3.5. If they improve the flavor with their side dishes I could easily give them 4 stars.
The service is good. I sit at the bar and the restaurant side. The wait is never too long when I go (5 mins max). You are presented with bread and butter while you wait to order. My go to meal is the Cajun salmon imperial with a Caesar salad as an appetizer (it's large enough to share). I also enjoy the buffalo combination which consists of buffalo wings, tenders and shrimp. My go to drinks are either a MO's relaxer or an Obama.
Only came here because this is the place chosen for a family member birthday. This place never seems to not disappoint me. I avoided ordering anything with crab in it because I always seem to get shells in my dish. So I ordered something different. Ordered the seafood fettuccine Alfredo. Comes with shrimp, scallops and muscles. I ate 3 muscles and all of them had grit and crunch in them. Immediately turned off and had to be very cautious with the rest of the dish. Had good flavor but there should be no crunch in this dish.
Delicious!! That's all I can say very little filler in these crabcakes. . Oh ask for Lemon butter goes good with this. Waiter wish I had remembered her name was very helpful with the menu she brought my drink and rolls out fast. Just very attentive young lady.
Upon entry we were the three out of our party on time for our 530p reservation(seems like it's been a running theme with the folks I dine with...lol). We were greeted by the host and informed them of our reservation time. Fun fact: you cannot be seated unless your entire party is present, so be on time for your reservation! Sometimes it seems staff can struggle managing a large table size and we give them grace as multiple personalities and tastes combined can be a lot to handle. Separate checks are a no no with large parties so bring cash or cash app one individual to cover your portion of your bill. Garlic mashed potatoes were recommended by the server and they were bomb!!! I also had the crab cake and 4 fried shrimp. The food was on point!! Drinks on point!!! Mo's will continue to be our family favorite.
Horrible reviews overall for this place, but I had a pretty decent experience overall. Nothing extra special, but it was a solid lunch outing. GLOWS: -The service at lunch was impeccable. Very friendly waitress that went above and beyond to get things right. -Complimentary bread is always a win -The menu is expansive and they have some pretty good light options for those wanting to watch what they eat.

This pasta! My goodness it was sooo good. This is actually a size SMALL! It took me 3 days to eat it. The oyster rockerfeller was decent, I do believe the sauce could use a little seasoning but it wasn't bad. I would absolutely come by to try more food options. It's a lot to choose from! My server Augustus was great too! Me made sure I was taken care of. read more

Mo's was awesome! From my Dusse Strawberry drink, muscles in a butter garlic sauce and... I hadn't had a broiled seafood platter in awhile and this one did not disappoint. The service was quick and efficient and I'm excited for more! The menu has a plethora of options, seafood lovers look no further! Enjoy!! read more
Myself and brother and sis in law road trip back to NYC we decided let's stop and get some seafood in B more. Im like heck yeah let's do it! Definitely a great spot. All of our dishes were tasty and plentiful. The star of the show was of course the crab cakes which were huge and full of crab meat. The fried combo as you can see was a huge plate of fried clam strips, shrimp, scallops and of a huge crab cake. The steak stuffed with crab meat and shrimp was tasty the take away was the steak needed a bit more salt but overall was good my sister in law said.. They had Henny Side cars for drinks which they said was hitting! I'm a light weight so opted for just water lol. Definitely worth it overall with plenty leftovers. And I will be back for sure with an empty stomach an appetite lol. read more

I've had the pleasure of dining at MO's several times throughout the year but this was the first time I took advantage of one of their weekly specials. Mondays are lobster night and I opted to add on the imperial stuffing and shrimp. The entree in true Mo's fashion was huge in its own right and came with a side of choice (baked potato not pictured) making it a great value in my opinion. I got a fantastic meal with leftovers to spare! Even if lobster isn't your thing they have a huge menu with a little something for everyone as well as other daily "specials" so check them out. read more

I like Moe's seafood options and frequently go for lunch because it's near my job. The crab dishes and the Oysters Christopher are my favs. I got the crab Alfredo recently and it was full of lump meat. It could have used more sauce and flavor though. I did add my own old bay to my liking and it was great! read more

Genuinely some of the worst food I've ever had. The shrimp fettuccine tasted like milk and the shrimp was rubbery and unseasoned. I had to ask for old bay to try to save it but it was just nasty. The service was slow but that could've been because we had a big party. I did see them sitting another large party at fold up card tables also...wouldn't come back. Another persons fish came out bland and mushy as well. read more

Not even sure why I'm giving this a 2 star So we were a group of 14 so I understand large parties can sometimes be overwhelming We had one server who was the worse Took forever to come back with things we requested her attitude was nasty and her service was POOR The food nothing I'd go back again for Even my salad was bland the dressing was like water We had a variety of options the menu is really great with options The crab dip was good lots and lots of LUMP crab meat Cheese bread good When we got our entrees most of our party complained of cold food Steaks were over cooked We asked for condiments which took forever to get Refills took forever Our waitress was the worse I'm sorry When the bill came we asked could it be split she said no I can accept multiple cards however and she walked away I feel like now days since waitress waiters servers etc know the tip is already included they can just give piss poor service and don't care because they know there going to be given a great tip anyways It took an hour to get to this restaurant it wasn't worth my time or my gas read more

Hi there! They have a parking lot. It's a little tight unless you go all the way back. I thought that the atmosphere was good. The service was good, the food was delicious. The prices are reasonable. My seafood sandwich was huge, I gave my leftover half to my sister. I'll definitely be back. The bday girl had a ball! read more

MO's is a local staple that is always room for improvement. We came here for lunch and were given the best waitress ever(I hate I don't remember her name). She was attentive and she didn't forget anything although she never wrote a single thing down! The drinks arrived and they were just good, not great! Basically meaning I had one and was done switched to soda. You would think for the price they charge it would at least have a hint of alcohol. ! I will say they didn't disappoint on the crab cake! That was huge in size , was seasoned but for some reason today there was more filling in there than I usually have. Maybe they tried a different recipe . We also had the wings and they were cooked correctly I just prefer more flats(that's a me thing though). People come from all over to MO's so I guess they are doing something right. It could've been me. Oh and yes I did notice the restroom and the entire establishment was really clean. read more

This was my first visit at Mo's. The inside is nice and the atmosphere was pretty chill. I didn't want anything super heavy so I went with the Greek Seafood Salad (shrimp,jumbo lump crabmeat, and scallops). It comes with a creamy Greek dressing. The flavor of the dressing was good, but not a fan of creamy dressings so I went with balsamic vinegar and some oil. The portion was HUGE. The seafood was fresh. I definitely only put a dent in it. The salmon with imperial was just okay to me. The salmon was overcooked and I didn't LOVE anything about the flavor. The biggest seller seems to be the portion sizes. The two imperial dishes pictured are half sizes and even they are enough to share. read more

I could of had a V8. My experience was comci comca. I dont have to come back. But I can say that I came and the prices were pretty good. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and fries. There was plenty of bacon. They did not skimp at all. The bacon was crispy and seasoned well. But the burger was straight from the cow without a pinch of salt. Lol. Its all good. The french fries were a hit. Good and potatoey yet not too soft. I ordered the Lamar Jackson cocktail. It was super strong, so if that's your thing, this is your place. The restaurant was kind enough to add some pineapple juice at no additional cost. It was super good. read more
It's a bit of a dive but the cuisine is outstanding. The pull of the cheese on this helpful serving of macaroni and cheese was video worthy. The taste matched the home cooked version of my chef daughter. The rolls were outstanding and the crab ball appetizer filled our hungry bellies. We moved in; we shopped and now it was time to dine. My meal was the last to be served due to a ommunication guffaw. I inquired about the MP of the soft shell crab and the server forgot. Finally, I had a plate in front of me and I was ready to devour. I had the soft shell crab with sweet potato fries and I finished all of the crab and managed to pick myself up to return to the vehicle. read more
