Had an all beef hot dog with mustard and onion. Tasty. Also had a side of onion rings. The onion rings were plentiful and not at all greasy. The dipping sauce made it even better. I really enjoyed this meal and recommend Morty's. Next time I'd like to try the signature Ruben. The Restaurant itself is simple and clean. It's a self serve place where you use a screen to order. If I could give zero stars I would. Had the signature sandwich that was supposed to be corned beef and pastrami. It was on three slices of old bread rye bread. The meat must have been playing hide and seek because they must have hid it somewhere other than my sandwich. Two slices of meat on three slices of bread? Coleslaw was on one section but was not fresh. Should have been meat with the coleslaw. the worst sandwich. Don't eat here. read more

So expensive!!! But what can you expect from a spot in the casino. If you win big, you pay big, if you lose, well....you eat your stress away. BUT the food was pretty good, slightly packed on with what it was on the description. I bought The Godfather and it was a lot of food. But I wish they added fries or chips on the side for free with the sandwich. It did come with a huge pickle tho. read more

We went into this place as it was an hour before the Dave Chappelle show and everything had an hour wait. The line didn't look bad but it literally took 45 minutes to make the sandwich and they ran out of onion rings!! TheY were not organized and it shows! Nobody seemed to know what was going on as some people got numbers and others they called names and nobody knew what place you were in the lines. The sandwiches were expensive and barely had any meat on it. $25 for sandwich and onion rings. read more

You had me at "pickle." If you want a casual meal while taking a break from the casino or shopping, you can find sandwiches, salads and hearty sides at Morty's. Most of the restaurants inside the casinio will have "Las Vegas" prices. Morty's gives generous portions and uses quality ingredients and doesn't charge as much. Morty's accepts coupons and comps from your player's cards (Cheesecake factory only gives half credit and Bobby Flay's is considers "outside" of the casino so you can't use coupons or credits. I wanted to pick up a few items before heading back to our hotel. Morty's had a varied selection and a convenient to-go menu. The employee who took my order was nice. I spent $14.50 on a giant entree sized "side' of Mom's Mac & Cheese, potato salad, Western fries and two pickles. I was expected small, but satisfying containers similar to Guy Fieri's at Horseshoe casino. The portions were generous. The mac and cheese was rich and tasty. The potato salad wasn't quite as good as my Aunt Shirley's (that I was missing on Memorial Day) but quite tasty. The fries were great. I was expecting two small pickles. Instead, I received a giant container that had wonderful deli sliced pickles. We could have shared with 12 people (but I won't). If you order a sandwich, side and dessert, you basically have enough food for two meals. We'll be back. read more

The decor makes the place look like the food would be pretty authentic. Nothing like New York or Jewish style sandwiches. The menu is pretty limited - no kinishes, chopped liver, or really anything special. I ordered a sandwich that was supposed to have brisket and turkey. The brisket was weird, thin and bland and the turkey, like any basic deli meat. The worst part was the rye bread that lacked enough substance to provide anything but a soggy mess. My friend ordered the hot corned beef, also lacking flavor and a small portion for the price. Overprice, no love in this food No thanks! read more

Terrible. I've been waiting more than 30 minutes for two hot dogs and a fry I'll never come back here and would not recommend this place to anyone Let me update. After a 40 minute wait they brought out the hot dogs. Said they would be back with the frys. Never came back On that note I'll never be back either Place sucks read more

Being Jewish from Brooklyn, I had high expectations for this place. I was sadly disappointed. The quality of the food is not worth the high prices. The matzoh ball soup was $7.50 for one matzoh ball and a few noodles and a few pieces of chicken. It was pretty much a cup size. It was also very salty. The corned beef rueben was a nice size sandwich, but the corned beef was just ok. Pretty much like lunch meat. Price was $14. The fries were only $4 for a huge portion and can be shared. Unfortunately, they were seasoned fries. A real deli would sever nice steak fries unseasoned. So $25.50 plus a drink. You could split the sandwich and fries and walk away satisfied. High prices were expected because it is inside the casino. I was really hoping to feel like I was in a real deli and not just another sandwich shop. read more

Went to Maryland Live Casino. I'm not a gambler - I took a seat and watched him go from "table" to table. I was getting late. I couldn't keep my eyes open. I didn't want to tell him that I was ready to go. I was tired. I saw a guy walking around with a BIG COOKIE! I didn't want to ask him where he got it from (he had been trying to talk to me earlier). I decided to walk around for an adventure and find this enormous cookie. OMG! I found it - here at Morty's!! The cookie was warm, ginormous and delicious. Add a cup of hot coffee and I was bright eyed and bushy tailed and amped on caffeine. I got home around 3am and could NOT go to sleep. when I finally did doze off, it was time to get up and get my Saturday started. Morty's hit the spot. read more

Excellent sandwiches. There's a bit of a wait to order and get food on a Friday night but it was worth it. The Ruben and the onion rings were great. Got food to go and it was still delicious when I got home. Will definitely go back to try other things. read more

Wanted some old school corn beef sandwich from back in the day when my parents would take us to Corn Beef Roe in east Baltimore and we would go to Jack's on Lumbard Street. If anybody remembers that place give me a Hell Ya! Anyway, I wanted some good corn beef and I had eaten here before. It was good so I went back again. I love the decor sort of an old-school, New York Deli. I notice that the prices here are higher but I am willing to pay more for a good sandwich if you know what I mean. What I noticed that the meat is already pre-sliced and warm in an oven. then served. Now I am not too happy with that because those not most ways I have had it in the past. If I wanted it pre-sliced, I would have gone to Giant Food deli counter and have them do the same thing. Although the food was good but, It kinda turned me off. Now must go in search of a real Jewish Deli. Which way is New York? Thanks, Morty, I think I can take it from here. Two stairs. They do give you a good size amount of meat. read more

Food here is delicious. Its like an upscale Potbelly's with many different side items. I came here during lunch and we decided to splurge. We ordered the Godfather, All in Club, side of onion rings, Western fries, Mac N Cheese, and Chicken Noodle soup. The sandwiches were great. You can tell they use high quality ingredients that haven't been refrigerated for centuries. Mac n cheese tasted like that made a fresh batch that day with the rich cheese. Chicken noodle soup didn't taste like it came from a can. I'll definitely be back to try their other sandwiches. read more

I was so looking forward to a deli reuben, and instead I was forced to wait an inordinate amount of time to receive an underwhelming soggy sandwich with little to no sauerkraut of which I ordered extra! There were two people waiting for food when I entered, but before I received my sandwich 9 people received there food after a 20 minute wait! All I ordered was a reuben sandwich. I did not order fries or onion rings, just a sandwich, and other people were served before me, that came after me that ordered the same thing! Very disappointed in the organization, production and service! When I opened the greasy foil to find the sandwich glued to wax paper with spongy wet bread, almost nonexistent sauerkraut, and something goopy I assumed might be cheese I was extremely dismayed. The amount of pastrami was overwhelming, but I did not order a pastrami sandwich, I ordered a reuben. Perhaps the deli workers need to research how to make a reuben. I will not be returning. read more

I was highly disappointed when I arrived around 2:50am and this one representative said we are closed but the signed said they closed at 3am . I told her the signed says closed at 3 am she said don't care we closed and this is clearly unacceptable. Sandwich's are great, pretty good for a casino deli, good size, a little pricey but what isn't nowadays

Was here on a Saturday night and my mom wanted a quick sandwich as she was playing on the slots.. line had 4 people in front of me and maybe 4-5 tables in the restaurant.. took 52 minutes from when order was taken to receiving it (a Reuben and a hot dog that I saw looked pretty good on the rollers). As I was waiting noticed there were no longer hot dogs on the rollers and saw one of the workers throw one in the deep fryer. As I received my order (again, 52 minutes in) I asked if hey normal deep fry their hot dogs. She looked like a kid with their hand caught in the cookie jar and said "normally no but there were none ready". No apology and wasn't allowed to exchange it (didn't want to wait any longer anyways). Very pricey for quality, service, and wait. read more

No Just NO The worst part of maryland live is their crappy food. We were really hoping that this deli would hold up to the hype and have some good deli food. Wrong. Food was horrible, service was worse. I couldn't finish mine it tasted so bad. The worst part was the oblivious management. After we paid, my husband went and sat down and I went to make our drinks. Management was having discussion with an employee RIGHT in front of the drink area, and would not move out of the way. They were not even discussing the drinks, but signage. I kept saying excuse me and it was obvious I was trying to work around them, but they just kept on in their conversation about the signs. I will never go back read more

Upon entering it was unclear where to place your order, the menus are way above your head so when I went to the cashier I requested a paper menu. The sandwich preparation area could have used a wipe down and there was a cup of trash sitting in front of the cashier which they continued to overlook until I requested that they put it in the trash. I placed my order with who I found out later was the Assistant Manager, I ordered grilled turkey pastrami on grilled rye bread with pepper jack cheese and a side order of macaroni salad. They gave me a grilled turkey pastrami on rye (no cheese) and a MACARONI SALAD SANDWICH w/PEPPER JACK on bread. They corrected the problem, that was extremely interesting. read more

I enjoyed my visit to Morty's deli. The ambiance was great. The customer service was very good. I ordered the Reuben, western fries and an old fashioned root beer. It was delicious. 10/29 Stopped in today for something to eat. Still major problems. Stood at the register waiting for someone to take my order. Staff got into a full blown argument with another customer. Yelling at the customer and threatened to meet her outside after her shift. What on earth is going on?? Hire people who genuinely want to work. The inconsistency with the food stems from the staffing. I eat here regularly so I know what the quality should be. I stoped by tonight 10/19/2018 and again the sandwiches and the quality WERE NOT the same as they normally are. I asked the cashier where the regular staff was and did everyone call in sick. She declined to comment. I did not recognize any of the people making the food. Even if your staff calls in sick, the quality of the food/portions should not change. Previous review This place is horrible. The service is always super slow and the employees wouldn't know customer service if it bit them. Last night I stopped by to get a chicken salad sandwich to go. I got home with mostly bread and very little chicken salad. If I could give them zero stars I would. I find it unusual that this is the only place in the casino complex that does not offer a military discount but if you speak to the right person they will give you a senior discount. Thank you for your help and to keep this person from getting into trouble I will not mention their name but I do thank them. I went with the Reuben and fries to keep it simple. The Reuben was good and fries hot as all food is cooked once you order it so no worries of getting some wrapped up sandwich under a warmer. For the price I paid it was a good size sandwich and a good Reuben. Not the best but it is one of the better Reubens I have had in this area. The bread was toasted nicely and not overcooked as some places tend to do. Overall if you are in the casino and yes I said in the casino as that is the only entrance to this establishment it is a good place to grab a bite. I would not go out of my way to eat there but if you do you will hopefully not be disappointed. read more

Not bad. We just wanted something quick and cheaper than the other food in the casino, and although we thought this was still overpriced - it was the cheapest. And okay. We had a shrimp salad sandwich - which was actually pretty good. Huge chunks of shrimp and a generous portion. We also ordered steak fries and a crab soup. Soup was good, pretty standard. And the fries were decent. I don't think we'd come back for the food. But it worked for that specific evening. The service is good. Prices are a little high. read more

I'm writing this review hoping for a major improvement from Morty's. If I could give less than one star, that would make me feel better--in addition to those who waiting as long as I did. Let me first start with the fact that they had three employees at the cash registers who all stood there appearing to be ready to take orders. Only one [of those three] employee was available to take orders. (Mind you, there was a line of at least 12 people!) There was an employee counting her register right in front of the customers. She ignored many people asking if she was taking customers--gave a dirty glance, and would continue counting each individual coin out of the register. How is this NOT a risk to the company? Risk of her counting the register out in the open to where she could be of harm and a risk to the reputation/customer service. Finally after confusedly hovering at the registers for five minutes (still with three employees standing behind the counter)--where no one even acknowledged to direct customers and say a simple, "Someone will be right with you. Thank you for your patience," I ordered. I ordered ONE sandwich. I sat there for 38 minutes for one sandwich to be delivered to my table. This was after nine other carry out orders received their food first. When I finally took a bit, the bread was soggy. There were FOUR people standing at the food counter assembling the food. How could they have four able-bodied people, but the service be this slow? For management, I wish you these proposals to your staff: 1. Basic customer service training 101 2. Adherence to proper money handling--for security measures. 3. Time effectiveness. There is no reason for anyone to think that assembling a sandwich should take over 30 minutes. 4. Proper food handling. I noticed some people not even wearing gloves who would walk over to the food counter area. I will never be coming back to this establishment unless it's guaranteed that there's been a course of action taken. read more

Their sandwiches, etc, may be fine. Looked delicious (drew me in the first place), but I'll leave to others. What made me step out of their line a few months ago even though I was excessively hungry and their food looked great was that, as I approached to order, I saw a wanton use of plastic--big containers, bags within bags, plastic wrapped in plastic, unneeded utensils just to give a few take-away sandwiches and sides. As the old saying goes--"If not us, then who. If not now, then when." COVID or not, there are far more conscientious and environmentally sustainable choices (even Bobby's within the same Maryland Live complex). I cannot and will not support or abide reckless, arrogant waste. Not in this day and age. Not when so many are doing so much better. read more
