I just wanted to thank Brian for his excellent customer service. I bought a hot tub 2 years ago during the pandemic from Morton's somehow my side panel cracked - the brace that holds the cover open to be specific. I called Brian and he immediately took care of walking me through next steps for a warranty. For wha reason this type of claim wasn't covered...to my pleasant surprise Brian took care of it anyways and had our panel replaced! Although it took several weeks from the manufacturer to make, Brian stayed on top of it and got us our panel! Extremely grateful, superb customer service and support! I will never do business with this company again! The Mill Plain location sold me a 1 HP sand filter pump and a Mamba Automatic vacuum for my above-ground pool. There was some questionable activity when I first made my purchase, but I let it go. I had a suspicion that I was overcharged. Then when I went to pick up my pump and vacuum, I was informed that the vacuum they sold me was not in stock, and they couldn't even get it!!! They substituted another vacuum, an Aqua Bug, which they claimed was equal or better to the one they sold me. When I picked up my pump I was told it had all the hoses that I would need to hook it up to my pool. It was a total lie!! I needed much, much more! After two trips to the hardware store and another $ 150 in hose and fittings, I finally, no thanks to Morton's, got the 1 HP pump working. Then I was on to trying to get the vacuum, not the one I bought, but the one I was stuck with, to work. When I went to hook up the automatic vacuum to my pool, the fittings did not fit my pool. After cobbling something together that would work, I was dismayed to find that my suction from my pump, that they sold me, was not in the acceptable range to run the automatic vacuum. I then went to the Battle Ground location to see if they could help and they just referred me to go to the Mill Plain location, assuring me that they had all the fittings I would need to make this work. Today, I drove to the Mill Plain location and they had none of the fittings I needed, and basically told me to Jerry-rig something that would work. They told me that I would have to buy my fittings on-line. Even if I can get the fittings to work with the port sizes I have on my pool, I have no assurance that the pump they sold me will have enough suction to make this vacuum operate successfully! So they sold me a vacuum that they did not have in stock, substituted another vacuum that is not compatible with my pool, and then told me to figure it out for myself! Do not give these incompetents your hard-earned money! They deserve to be out of business! Their customer service is unacceptable to say the least!! read more

I had nothing but top notch service from this store, I bought a great pellet stove and had it installed, they even jumped though hoops to get this installed as soon as possible because I didn't have heat. The installer was the best from start to finish. Brian didn't push me towards any certain pellet stove and let me pick the one I liked and explained all the features and benefits and they actually had in stock, which was a great plus since I didn't have any heat. I finally decided to spend the money and buy a ceramic BBQ. After weeks of internet research, I was convinced that I "needed" the Primo Oval XL. More research also showed me that there is only one local vendor, Morton's Stoves Pools and Spas. I called them and found out that the BBQ that I was after had to be ordered. I was pleasantly surprised the learn that the order process only took a day and that they would have it for me the following afternoon. I always try to shop local and this time I am really glad that I did. The service at Morton's is excellent. From the second that I walked in the door I was treated like a VIP. Now you might be wondering how a Stove Pool and Spa shop that also sells BBQ's could possibly offer great service and make you feel special. I will tell you. 1. No pushy sales people. 2. The girl at the cash register knew my name from the order I had placed and used it. She was also knowledgeable about the BBQ and made me feel great about my purchase. 3. Summer purchase of gas stove (Heat & Glo) insert after my wife and I remodeled our living room and converted brick fireplace into gas. I shopped 3 other stores in Portland & Vancouver and we could not beat the bottom line of Chris and his team. More importantly, Chris & Cedric are low key, no pressure and willing to share their knowledge and encourage you to shop around. #2. I bought my house about 5 yrs ago. It had an old wood stove that still worked, but it was ugly (and NO window!). I've always wanted a new one, but timing wasn't right. And I knew I wanted a Quadafire - a really nice looking stove. So when the time came to finally get that new stove, I was fortunate enough to run into Rob Porter (owner) at Morton's. We spoke for about half an hour and he explained to me why the Quadafire was going to be way more than I needed for my 1100 sq ft home. He steered me toward the Hampton H200, another really nice looking stove, more suited to my house size, and cheaper than the Quadafire I wanted. (And of course, it has a window, so I can see what is going on inside! FIRE!) He even referred me to another store to "see" the stove, as he didn't have that model on display. I felt so good about our chat that I promised I would return to purchase from them. He felt very open and honest with his information, and showed a willingness to share it so I would get what I wanted in a stove. I purchased the Hampton on 1/17, with the install scheduled on 9 Feb (pretty quick for the time of year!). Chad came out on 1/23 to preview the setup location to make sure everything would go smooth on install-day. At 1PM on 9 Feb (Install-day!), Dave (& Gus?) showed-up as scheduled to do the install. Both of these guys showed excellent customer service. They cleared-out the old stove (and even put it in my truck for me!) When Dave unpacked the new stove at their truck, he noticed some "blemishes" on the stove. He informed me that he did not want to install a less-than-perfect stove, which I totally appreciated. I had not, and probably would not have noticed the blemishes, but he did, and, thankfully pointed them out to me. We discussed options, and were doubtful they would be able to complete the install this day. It was about 2:00PM on a Friday! Between Dave and the store, they found out that they had one at the Regency factory (manufacturer) in Portland. Dave & Gus(?) hit the road to negotiate our infamous traffic! They returned shortly after 3-ish with a brand-spankin' new, unblemished stove, and completed the install before 4PM! Fortunately, this process worked out much better than I had hoped, and I can only attribute that to the outstanding attention to detail and customer service provided by Dave and everyone I've dealt with at Morton's Stoves, Pools and Spas! I have now had about four fires in this beautiful stove, and I couldn't be happier! I can see that fire, and with the newer technology going-on inside the stove, the wood seems to burn longer! Sales people at the Vancouver store are horrible. Went to buy a gas fireplace and got no help from the 3 people workingin the store. They had done an estimate for the installation, and I liked the installer so I had them do the install of gas fireplace in our home. They did not install a part on the fireplace that was required. I called them to ask them to remedy the situation (order / install the needed part), and never got a call back.
