There aren't even steps up to the slide. The elderly gentleman in the photos wanted the children in his care to be "Super Stars" hehehe. That's the only reason why I've included the photo of them on the swings. He was quite insistent that I take the photo. Sweet man :-) There is some tree shade here but don't rely on that. Depending on what time of day you visit, there may be no shade over any of the equipment. The playground area is fully fenced. No dogs allowed. *No dogs allowed*

Even though the playground isn't the biggest or the best, it certainly does a good job of entertaining the little ones. If you are looking for a place for a birthday party, this would be it, at least people seem to think so. There are always children's birthday parties here and why not? There's a better-than-some playground with sheltered table/chair areas close to it. The toilet block is just a short walk away to the car park area and look at all that green grass! Worthy of a roll from even the biggest of kids, I think. I can't remember seeing a drinking fountain but I can't imagine this place without one. I'm sure there would be something near the BBQ. The playground has some shelter built into the design. It's not a lot but it's better than nothing. This park is pretty cool. Really, the main drawcard for me are the walking tracks. I'm a big fan, because, if you've read my other reviews, you'll know that I usually have my dog with me, and I often have lots of time to waste in my occupation, so I tend to visit lots of parks. The tracks here are really quite good. Long and meandering, they're a nice way to improve your fitness and enjoy some beautiful scenery. I've seen plenty of native fauna here. If you're looking for a barbecue spot, this isn't really it. Solid fuel barbecues are pretty much forbidden, and I don't think that gas barbecues are a great idea here either.

Probably the only thing the younger children could do is check out the sheep and llamas in the neighbours yard through the fence. I haven't seen equipment like this before. Usually once I say that the next three playgrounds have the same equipment, but I still haven't found the same hanging equipment as you will see here. Ten points for originality but no, that doesn't add stars to the rating :-) There's no shade at all near the playground but there is some room to kick a ball in some dappled shade at the other end of the park. There's a brightly painted yellow tap if you need water.

You will find all the trimmings at this park however; electronic toilets, sheltered table/chair areas, BBQ's and even a cricket pitch. You'll find your usual suspects here, swings, slides, a little action tower with a pirate telescope and large roller Tic Tac Toe game. They are only better though, with long slides to glide down and lots of climbing bars for the kids to have hours of fun. Large area to kick a ball or chase the kids. My favourite bit is there is a short bushwalk trail within the playground compund, take the kids and spot termites and ants hills, and look out for chirping birds. This is a perfect place to host your child's birthday party as there is an electric barbeque facility, a shade seating area and plenty of benches. Parking is plentiful, so no worries there! Next to the playground is a skateboard ramp and a soccer field. Put this one in your 'Favourite Playgrounds' folder.

Doggy poop bags are readily available from all entrances however that doesn't mean that people always use them so keep an eye out as you walk around. There is a cafe truck that usually rocks up in the late afternoon on Wednesday and Saturdays, a great way to warm the hands in the cold winter months. The downside to this park is the lack of lighting at night. In winter it's a struggle for the 9-5 workers to get home, pick up their pooches and then get to the park before darkness kicks in. Overall a nice dog park with lots of space for your four legged friend!

It was so lovely to watch all the four-footed family members running around, enjoying the sun. One mother (of children and dogs) was walking the dog around the while the children played on the playground. The two areas are fenced off from each other but there's easy access from one to the other via child-proof gates. The playground obviously is a hit as you can tell from the photos. While it looks like the playground is more suited for younger children, there is a large climbing frame and a rubber hammock that proves to be a nice place to 'hang out' with your friends and chat....as older children do ;-) There are sheltered table/chair areas, a BBQ, and a drinking fountain but these are a little distance from the playground area. I was quite baffled by this. I would have thought there would be some shaded seating closer to the playground.
