There are a lot of stairs so it most areas it is not wheelchair or limited mobility friendly. But is easy enough for anyone, even those with below average fitness. There are plenty of spots to sit and enjoy the view. In some places the silence can be deafening, in others the gentle waves lapping against the rocks sedating. For the runners - There's plenty of straight paths over looking the ocean that are intercepted in places by stairs up and down gullies and gorges. I find all of the wooden stairs to be nice and even and easy for running. Unfortunately there are spots on the dirt stairs that have eroded, are uneven and are not very easy to run at all. Some steps have eroded to the point that they are at knee height, and a new path has been trod around the stairs to avoid them. Pity that the wooden stairs are clearly well maintained but the earthen ones not. It took us 2 hours to walk from the Marino Rocks through Hallett Cove and back again. Loved every minute of it.

There's a variety of equipment; everything from a spinning egg cup (Amanda terminology lol), a flying fox, a climbing frame, as well as the usual slides and swings. The whole playground is bark chipped although there seems to be rubber under the swings that has been covered up by bark chip. There's a sheltered table/chair area which came in great need seeing as it was bucketing down when I took the photo. There is also lots of room to kick a ball, run around or ride a bike. I wish I had a playground like this when I was growing up! This is suitable for a wide range of ages and looks like a WHOLE lot of fun. I entered the playground from Eyre Street. I wouldn't recommend this if you are with little children. It's a bit of a walk and uphill. Entering from Davey Crescent looks like a better idea. There is a drinking fountain which works!! And there are bench seats but no sheltered table/chair areas. This is part of a much bigger reserve/park area and I'm unsure if there are toilets in another section. Oh, to be eight years old again! It's a good little spot for a walk. I've really only been here to stretch my legs after a long drive, and to let the puppy out to have a bit of a play, but I reckon the place would be enhanced by some shade sails, because while this place is really quite nice, it'd be that much nicer to sit and eat a sandwich and not get a seriously sunburnt neck in the middle of summer.

If your dog or your child needs room to run about, this is the place to come. There is SO much room! The playground is fairly new and the entire play equipment area has a rubber floor. There are electronic toilets, BBQ, sheltered table/chair area, and a drinking fountain that needs a little servicing. It's one of those wonderful drinking fountains that have a lower collection spot for the off-run of water so the four legged pooches can have a drink also. Attached is also a tap. To be honest, if it wasn't such a great set up, the play equipment wouldn't be all that great. This is definitely a toddler park with one piece of equipment that reminds me of swinging around on the old lop sided hill hoist (which isn't suited for toddlers at all). This is a lovely place to be. The BBQ looks like it's the oldest piece of equipment of the whole area but it still looks like it gets used (it was a rainy day, I didn't try myself). Sometimes, you can tell how good a playground is by the way people are using the whole park. When I…read morearrived here there were people looking at the plants in the garden area, there were people walking their dogs along the Esplanade, there were people playing tennis, there was even a family having a picnic but no-one was playing on the playground. This playground is right next to the Brighton Caravan Park and Holiday Village and from what I could see, they had a MUCH better playground in there! No wonder this little playground was lonely. There is a toilet block close by and a tap or two around the place. I think I'm reviewing just about every conservation park worth noting in Adelaide at the moment,…read morebut because I spend so much of my time in them, I figure that they're well worth talking about. This park is pretty cool. Really, the main drawcard for me are the walking tracks. I'm a big fan, because, if you've read my other reviews, you'll know that I usually have my dog with me, and I often have lots of time to waste in my occupation, so I tend to visit lots of parks. The tracks here are really quite good. Long and meandering, they're a nice way to improve your fitness and enjoy some beautiful scenery. I've seen plenty of native fauna here. If you're looking for a barbecue spot, this isn't really it. Solid fuel barbecues are pretty much forbidden, and I don't think that gas barbecues are a great idea here either.
