    Where do I begin, started as a referral and I had the highest hopes but not only did Marcus Eligan…read morefall short of my expectations I can tell you for sure I will probably never buy a house again thanks to his company. As a first time homebuyer I was new to the process and looked forward to all that came along with it. I heard many a times that it can be a stressful process but I was not prepared for this at all. I was given an approval letter that contained a rate. Moved forward with my home buying process. I was told that if I needed anything I should contact him but when it came time to contact Marcus he was unavailable and constantly reminded me that his mortgage calculator is available on his website. That's one way to make someone feel like a number. Then my rate changed again and my realtor and I celebrated my new low rate. I continued my home search hoping things would get better but nope. Marcus informed me that on weekends when most people are out shopping for homes that he will not be available to price quotes or anything of the such. My calls and emails went unanswered, but thank goodness for my realtor who was able to help me along the way. Then my rate and downpayment changed yet again because Marcus and I quote "was unable to get me into a program". Now having worked in customer service for a very long time I have learned to never provide information unless you can guarantee it. So now my rate has gone up and so has my down payment, Do you think Marcus called me to tell me this information, NOPE! On one of my many calls to him he just threw it out there as if it was some small thing. Do you think I was given an apology? NOPE! A higher rate means higher monthly payment, higher downpayment means more money from my pocket. But hey no sweat on his back because he will still be paid at the end of the day. I was even told to "find a new lender if I was not happy" instead of apologizing. Now three days before my closing I was told I'd have a certain downpayment, two days before closing I was given the same number. The day before the wire is sent I receive an email with a number that's $5,000 more than what's discussed. I'm upset so my realtor being the Godsend she is contacted Marcus and he told her the number was wrong and it would be no more than a certain number again. YET ANOTHER LIE! I should have went with another lender but I didn't feel like starting again and possibly loosing the house I loved so much or getting the same results with anyone else. I don't think I've ever cried so much in my life. During a time when I should have been celebrating this is what I dealt with. If you want to feel like a number then this is the company for you! If you want to be given the run around and lied to pls by all means give it a go! But if you prefer to be spoken to and treated like a human being then this is not the company for you. Also, I don't want to seem like it's all bad, after all the hell I was put through Marcus managed to get me a $1000 credit which only made me have to bring $4000 more to the table then expected and a higher rate that came along with it! This caused me to have to move in later then expected because those funds were allocated to my moving fund. As a single mother I do this on my own, so unexpected funds don't come easy. But hey, so sweat off your back right. Do your research because everyone is not treated equally with this company. Unfortunately as a single black woman my experience with terrible. I was spoken to as if I was less than by two people at this company and I hope nobody else has to go through this.

We were introduced to Mr. Marcus Eligan and we only had approx. 2 wks tops to close. He picked the ball up and it started to roll! He got the job done in 2 wks!!! His professionalism and sincerity and going the extra mile is very rare these days so we truly appreciated that. We are so elated that it all worked out. We are now proud HOME Owners!!!!     Today was a pleasant one 3-27-25. I was greeted immediately and signed in and waited to be seen. I…read moremet with April and it was so cool we had the same name! Spelling and all she was so nice and we shared laughs and little stories due to our namesakes! and all the while mutually handing the business at hand!. She successfully closed my account and I plan to return once I get back on my feet from my other retina detachment surgeries and recoveries. I Love this Bank because they let you know when something is going on with your account or your cards the simplest of Off they handle it immediately. Always acknowledge even by the security guard , they are always willing to work with you. I will always recommend this bank due to the fact they care for and about their customers first! And I've never had an issue with the tellers or bank systems at this location. PNC also has several banks within Wawas they help ATMs much easier and I was talking to someone getting money out as well but He had used his Independence Card which was interesting and different! . So if you have that card you can use it at any PNC ATM that's inside a Wawa. The Value is community and customers they are fair and honest in that and make sure you return as if it's a store!

    I had an issue with a PNC cashiers check from out of state not being signed by the teller that…read moreissued it. The manager at this location refused to help me and said I would just have to mail it back to the person that sent it to me. It had already taken me a week to receive it via priority mail and cost $10. It would cost another $20 to send it back and receive it again after my 90 year old mother that does not drive took it back to the bank. I explained all of this and he shoved the check back at me and refused to help. He was African. I left there and went to Bowie PNC, explained everything to their African AMERICAN manager and he immediately called the issuing bank, confirmed the check and signed it for me. SIMPLE AD DONE. The manager at the first branch had no compassion and was just too lazy to help. Thank god that the Bowie manager was willing to go the extra mile and was very nice about it.
