So much respect for doctors and practices that try their best to stay on time and respect your time as well. All of the staff are friendly, they do a great job explaining what to expect, and it's no frills billing that you pay during your appointment time. Aside from my routine eye exams, Dr. Fripps has excellent chair side manner and holds space for you to address any questions or concerns you may have with your eyes. Then not only does she make recommendations, but also tries to give 2-3 recommendations in varying price points and locations (online vs retail) for whatever budget you may be hoping to stay within. This is one of those places you almost wish you visit more than once a year or so, but it's a welcoming practice and she remembers little details about you even though visits are infrequent. I chose a pair of Costas. They were very expensive, but I was excited to invest in a nice pair of sunglasses. After I was fitted for them, I went back several weeks later to pick them up. I had ordered progressive lenses so that I could read and see far away. The transition of closer to far away was not good, and I could not see to read at all with them. The tech was very nice and said that she would order a new pair and have the lenses adjusted. When I went back the second time, then I could see to read, but could not see far away. The tech became very frustrated and walked away when I told her that I still could not see. She sent a different tech over to help me who said they would refund me for my glasses. I told her that I didn't want to be refunded, I just wanted to be able to see clearly out of the glasses that I was paying so much money for. She escorted me to the front, and I asked her why she was not offering me other alternatives for glasses that might work better with progressive lenses. She was dismissive and told me that she could not help me. If there are certain styles of glasses that do not work with progressive lenses, I should've been told that up front. I also expected a much higher level of customer service to try and find a pair that would work for me. I felt blamed, dismissed, and disrespected. I will not be going back. I called a few days later to speak to the office manager to share my experience and no one returned my call.

I filled the prescription ($600) and can't see at all through those glasses. I don't understand how my $10 off-the-shelf reading glasses work yet my $600 prescription glasses from VEI don't work AT ALL. My eyesight is so blurry with the VEI glasses, that I suspect patel made a mistake during the rushed exam... or wrote the RX incorrectly, or the glasses were built incorrectly. Nearly a year later, I decided to give VEI another chance. Again, I requested the same eye doc my wife had a good experience with. VEI didn't bother to call me back to make an appt. PROS: It's a nice facility It's conveniently located CONS: The eye doc I saw wasn't the eye doc I requested The eye doc I saw rushed me through the exam The $600 glasses I purchased as a result of the exam are unusable Lazy front desk staff When given a second chance, they blew it I made the mistake of trying VEI the first time without checking Yelp first. Had I checked Yelp, I would have seen all the 1-star and 2-star reviews and would gone elsewhere (and would have saved $600). Lesson learned: check Yelp first! Seems strange right, but it's because the Dr is independent of Target, and basically rents the space. Anyway, appointment with Dr. Mauro and her staff was great. Everyone was very friendly, fast, and efficient. No one likes being dilated ever, but she made the experience easy and I didn't even tear up too bad haha. The front desk staff were great as well, so I recommend anyone to make an appointment. Only downside is you can't use your Target Redcard on this side for the vision exam, again because they're independent. No biggie though, but just good to know. You can also book your appointment online, which I love! So after the vision exam, left out and walked down the sidewalk to the main entrance of Target to get to the Optical side where I can get glasses or contacts. The staff in this portion are Target employees, were very fun and friendly, and I enjoyed them trying on glasses with me and just making it a great environment! You CAN use your Target Redcard in this section, which was awesome! The promotions they had were great, but in my case was better to go through my insurance. Either way it was honestly the most affordable place I've purchased glasses in the 10+ years I've been in the market. It was less than $100 out the door with designer frames, but I did add on the protection package, which put it slightly over. The nice thing is the return policy is generous, and the discount for 3 months after your purchase. Do yourself a favor, and just go!

The attendant had the audacity to lie to my face, telling me that since I hadn't purchased the frames from lens crafters, she couldn't guarantee the safety of the frames. Excuse me, what? I've never purchased frames from anywhere except Lens Crafters because of the service after purchase. I buy lenses and get them replaced elsewhere, but none of my frames have been bought anywhere else. Because of this, I KNOW these and all my frames were bought from lens crafters, wether that location or another so I did not appreciate the lie. The adjustment was done correctly and no damage was done to the frames. Lucky liar. I've been to this location before and had far more pleasant service, without being lied to. I'm not sure if this particular associate was new, stupid, or what, but I'd like to think this was out of the ordinary for this store. Either way, I'll be going to other locations going forward. Mom's sunglasses turned out well and she was happy with them.

I had been to this Optomitrist before and really enjoyed the digital eye exam that they offer. My vision is not the best so being able to have that comprehensive digital exam is awesome. My appointment was at 2pm and I arrived 10 minutes early to fill out paperwork. When I walked in the tiny little waiting area was filled with patients waiting to be seen. The woman behind the counter barely acknowledged me she just gave me a clip board full of paper and did not mention the wait time. The other patrons in the waiting room were noticeably agitated. One lady had am appointment at 1pm and was yet to be seen the other patron had a 115 appointment and was still waiting. Finally one of the customers decided to ask how long the wait was. The admin working the desk hurried back to the office to talk with the doctor. After a few minutes had passed she comes back with no update. Instead she starts back filing papers. The paper pile on her desk was cluttered and disorganized. Finally the female customer ask the admin if she had any idea how much longer the wait would be. The admin shrugged and said "ya I dont know about that.." There was no apologies, no offer to reschedule, no mention of why there was a delay. NOTHING!! We were met with nothing!! I decided to cancel my appointment because this place obviously doesnt respect the time of others and has no intention of sticking to their schedule. I would advice just avoiding this place all together.
