Instead of the office charging for my annual exam which is covererd at 100% with a $10 copay, the office fraudently diagnosed me with hypertensive retinopathy and submitted a claim to my healthcare insurance rather than my eye insurance to receive a larger bill for service in my RN professional opinion. I am in perfect health with no medical concerns whatsoever. I have seen multiple eyecare professionals since and without explaining my experience in this office they agreed there is absolutely no signs of hypertensive retinopathy on my exam. The office was empty with no patients so that should have been my first red flag. No one even said "Hi." or "How are you?" Nothing. The doctor asked me why I was there and I said I had an appointment at such and such time. He just stared at my blankly and then very condescendingly said "normally, one addresses who they are and why they are here when they walk in" I should have walked out right then. He asked me to fill out some paperwork along with a HIPPA. As I started to read the HIPPA he told me to just sign it and that was just a form to release my information. I told him I knew but I just wanted to read what I was signing. He continued to make rude comments on how I just needed to sign the paper. Somewhere along the way, he walks away and another (unfriendly) staff member tries to get my insurance straight. She took my card and told me I had no coverage for an exam. I told her that was incorrect and I had my breakdown of my coverage with me. I showed it to her and she brushed me off and said "that's not what my system is telling me" She then tried to get my insurance company on the phone but when she was unsuccessful the first time, she gave up and said maybe I could try to get someone on the phone. Umm...that is not my job. That is something you should have done PRIOR to my arrival. After all, that is why I gave you my ID number when I scheduled my appointment. Clearly with the lack of patients in the office they should have had plenty of spare time to do this before I arrived for my appointment. I finally got so fed up with their lack of help and how rude everyone in the office was, I took every paper I signed and left. There were no apologies. No help. Nothing. They are some of the rudest, laziest people I have ever met. I would never go back there and I would never trust this doctor or his staff. I hate that I am even giving them my time right now to write this review but this was just how bad they were. Hopefully I can spare someone else from wasting their time and their patience with this doctor and his staff.

Don't waste your time with this company. They are not knowledgeable of insurance guidelines, and…read moreare completely unprofessional. The lack of customer service cost our family a large out of pocket after a physicians order sat on someone's desk for nearly 2 weeks. As a provider, I understand mistakes happen; however, instead of owning the error, this company lied & tried to cover up their mistake. When I requested the order be transferred, the company refused. In fact, she didn't even know who had originated the order. After speaking with their competitors (having never heard of this company) the consensus was "anything we can do to help you." I'm not sure what's worse, accepting an order for a piece of DME you don't even carry, letting the order sit for weeks (wasn't a priority), lying about the mistakes, or just being opposed to working for the patient to expedite delivery of this much-needed pice of equipment. While writing this review, I received a call from the owner of the company. I was hopeful for resolution or at least an effort to demonstrate done semblance of good customer service, I got more if the same rhetoric. It's the payers' fault, it's the work load, it the PATIENT'S fault. The company agreed to transfer the order, but were not truthful about having already spoken with the ordering physicians' office to transfer the order. Always remember, it's the patient's choice of companies for medical equipment, home health, etc. There are several good companies in town for CPAP/BiPAP & supplies...this is just NOT one of them. I pray this review will save the next patient/family/provider from having similar frustration & burden.

I was then billed $600 for my new patient exam and appointment because the appointment was billed as a medical appointment due to my "diagnosis". The office was closed. I called the number. He answered and said he was stuck in traffic 90 minutes away. He said he gets lots of no shows, which has nothing to do with me, because I don't no show. Anyhow, he doesn't have a receptionist and it seems he will tell people to come in whenever they can over the course of a few hours that he plans to be there. He'll see you in the order you arrive. So, you might wait a bit depending on how many people come all at once. Essentially, you don't really have an appointed time. You have a block of time like Xfinity... they'll come to you between 9am and 11am, and you just have to plan to be there the entire time. Not good. HOWEVER, I did return the next day. As luck would have it, I arrived just as another patient was leaving, and no one else was there. So I didn't have to wait. He gave me excellent care. Excellent. Explores your history. After a very short wait, I was sent back to the doctor. Most of the time, when you go to see a doctor, you end up waiting in the waiting room forever, then they send you back to the room, where you end up waiting a lot longer. Dr. Mehfoud was in the room within ten minutes, and instead of making me feel rushed or like he was in a hurry, he was very thorough and asked a wide range of questions to diagnose. I appreciated his manner and thought he did a great job of discussing treatment options with me. He is a wonderful doctor and really seemed to care about his patients. I will be keeping him as a PCP!
