We began the process of getting new tires for our motor home. I spoke with Bruce and he was amazing…read morein his effort to help us. He guided me in my effort to get a tire adjustment on our previous tires because they had weather checking and normally that company will offer some assistance. For a couple of reasons the company wouldn't help. Bruce made an effort via a different path but came up with the same results. We did discuss what tires would work for us and he immediately located 6 of them for us. We scheduled about 3 weeks out. The weather on that day was calling for snow and our trip was 50 miles. I asked if the weather was bad enough, could we cancel and reschedule. They were very agreeable to that. We made it and after an hour and 45 minutes we were on our way. Because they do some business very close to us they agreed to come by our house and retorque the lugs. Tough finding anyone who would do that. I whole heartedly recommend Pete's Tire Barns (from the Montpelier store at least). They were great and I will not hesitate to do business with them again. You shouldn't either.

Horrible, the worst around! Took my new Audi A6 in for its first oil change. Shortly after I…read morestarted having transmission issues. The transmission went into lock mode and I couldn't drive it. I had to have it towed to two shops until they found... the transmissions drain plugged was pulled by someone that did the oil change that didnt know what they were doing and likely put it back as soon as they noticed they screwed up. My transmission is supposed to hold 3.5 liters but only had 1.5 in it. They almost cost me $14,000 for a new transmission (they did cost me a couple of thousand in towing charges and trying mechanics trying to figure out what happened). Separately, I had tried to make an appointment for my wife's tires since she bought them there but they wouldnt make an appointment and were rude. Me and my family will never go there again. They have lost our business forever!!

His name is Chris, and I when we asked him how our brand new wheels got damaged with proof of the damage of the wheels coming from his shop, he denied or any mistakes that could of been made by his shop. Worst customer service in VT, and I do not recommend you bring anything to to this shop. I expected better with the steep prices they had. If the owner reads this, please do yourself a favor and re-asses your management at your shop. There's a reason why you have a reputation of 2.5 stars.

I brought my car in for winter tires and specifically requested studded winter tires when I booked…read morethe appointment. I'm new to the area and openly told them I'm unfamiliar with winter tires and was relying on their expertise to guide me. I later learned that not all winter tires come with studs pre-installed -- they must be added separately, even if the tire is designed for studs. That would've been fine, had this been clearly explained. Instead, no one asked me to confirm whether I wanted studs installed, even though I had requested "winter tires with studs" in my original phone conversation. The tires they ordered were indeed studdable tires, which means I would never have declined studs on a tire specifically made for studs -- especially after asking for them. When I picked up my car, I noticed the studs weren't installed. I called to clarify and was met with rude and dismissive responses. I was told that I had declined studs, which is simply untrue and was never discussed at any point during the appointment. They refused to acknowledge any miscommunication on their end. I drove back so they could add the studs. While there, I was spoken to disrespectfully, my old tires were called "crap," and when I returned to pick up my car, I was told that although they normally don't charge for studs, they were charging me the full amount because installing them was an "inconvenience" to them. Update: I reached out to Monro about the issue and received no additional help. Overall, a really disappointing experience. The one-star reviews are legit--save yourself the headache and go literally anywhere else for tire service.

The tire prices here are at least $100 more than other area shops. They charge my children $160 to put the winter tires on that I purchased from tire warehouse. They over schedule and have no problem leaving customers sitting, waiting, for 3 hours. I recommended heading over to VIP tire. Its clean, the service manager is pleasant and smiles. (No swears or threats.) Compare that to the filthy cramped space of tire warehouse. 5 dirty chairs, 2 old magazines from 2010. Gross!

I declined the work to be done and took it to my regular mechanic, turns out there is nothing wrong with the vehicle and with the state inspection done it cost The shop is not to be trusted!!
