Water, milk, soda, sparkling wine, red wine, pasta, bread, steaks, blue cheese, fruit and veggies. Some snacks for our doggie. So much more besides, including alcohol, newspapers and magazines. There's a fair sized car park at the side which was never full when we visited. The Co-op is found just around the corner at the top of the main shopping street and on the Oban (north) road.

This enormous store opened a just a few years ago, on the edge of the existing retail park…read more As well as a large grocery section, there is a wide range of clothing (George brand) and a few aisles of homewares, toys, home electricals, music, computer games and DVDs, and seasonal stuff like garden products or Christmas decorations. It's quite possible to spend over an hour just browsing through these things before you even make a start on your shopping. This, however, tends to make the overall shopping bill far more expensive as it's almost impossible to progress to the foodstuffs before you've half-filled your trolley with things you hadn't set out to buy in the first place! I therefore prefer to shop in Morrisons across the road, however this is an excellent store and well worth a look if you've got time to browse.

I hate everything about it, the cold floors, the ugly walls, the horrible car park which is so bad, you have to wait like ten minutes just to cross the road to get in the place, I'd definitely rather get hit by a car than stare at the Morrisons entrance from across the street, that's for sure. Quite recently, Morrisons have started moving all their overpriced products around everywhere, so that the baked beans are next to the deodorant and shampoo, the salad's next to the cat food and they hide potatoes around the shop as if it's an Easter egg hunt! I was buying some crackers the other day and noticed that the safety pins where next to the Haribo Gummies. What? They've moved the milk at least six times this week and they didn't even have any a fortnight ago! The illogical ordering is so stressful for us customers, but, it's even worse for the staff! I asked them where the chocolate milk was yesterday because it wasn't next to the normal milk like it used to be and they hadn't a clue! The prices of all the items are going up ridiculous amounts as well, let's use the Meal Deals as an example, The idea is that if you're hungry and on a lunch break and want a !cheap! lunch, you go into the meal deal section of Morrisons and pick up a main meal, a snack and a drink for only £2, sounds great, right? Not anymore. last year they increased the price to £3, a big increase, but it was gradual, raising the price 5, 10 pence or so, but in the last three weeks, they made the meal deal another 50p more expensive. what. the. hell. What's even more harrowing about this whole meal deal experience is that along with making it 150% more expensive than what it was pre-brexit (I hate you tories!) they are also giving us less food! Lets use the vegetarian sushi as an example for this, the vegan sushi is my personal favourite meal deal main, as it provides you with 16 delicious pieces of heavenly flavour, but last week, they took 7 pieces out of the container! I have done the maths and that is a harrowing 43.75% decrease in sushi! Unacceptable!! The meal deal is only one example of what this awful, dystopian supermarket is doing! At first, they where trying to hide the fact that they where robbing us, making things a couple pennies more expensive a month, but they've taken off the invisibility cloak and are killing us with their awful manipulation tactics. Somebody, Anybody, I am begging you, please save our town and take down this supermarket. I would do anything for this manipulative Morrisons to be replaced with an Aldi or Lidl. We always enjoy shopping at M&S. We were heading north and this was our last stop with an M&S…read morenearby for the next two weeks. So naturally we stocked up on groceries and snacks to bring along. It's a good-sized Foodhall with the good quality and value that we enjoy at M&S. Got basic groceries like veggies, fruit, milk, crisps, water, soda. But also some aged sirloin steak, Picanha, Pizza, pies and sausage rolls, Prosecco, M&S Classic wine (Chardonnay, Pinot from New Zealand and Ripasso from Italy), several packs of cookies, blood pudding and haggis. Made some good dinners with these items. Prices fair as usual, staff friendly and helpful as well. Another great shopping experience at M&S.

Got all we needed for fair prices…read more We've been staying at the Loch Awe at a pretty remote Hotel. We came to Inveraray for a quick visit a needed some groceries for dinner. So we went into Londis here to have a look. It was quite a (positive) surprise to find everything we needed. Veggies, milk, cream, pasta, chicken breast and more. Not just that. You might expect it to have a bit higher prices than your average chain. But no, prices were really fair and not far away from the big chains. Quality of the products are good too. So, it is a good place to stock up your fridge if you're in town (or around).

The lady who served me was very pleasant and friendly so I'll be back for more supplies next time I'm in that area!

But I was annoyed today by the downright rude assistant in the self scan. I needed wine authorising. She came up behind me giving me quite a fright. Didn't say a word to me in greeting. I greeted her and she said nothing. She authorised the alcohol and I thanked her. She said nothing. She walked away having not acknowledged I was a human being. Absolutely woeful customer service. I wonder if the fact I'm elderly and in my 70s had something to do with her thinking I wasn't worth being civil to?
