The Co-op is found just around the corner at the top of the main shopping street and on the Oban (north) road.

This enormous store opened a just a few years ago, on the edge of the existing retail park…read more As well as a large grocery section, there is a wide range of clothing (George brand) and a few aisles of homewares, toys, home electricals, music, computer games and DVDs, and seasonal stuff like garden products or Christmas decorations. It's quite possible to spend over an hour just browsing through these things before you even make a start on your shopping. This, however, tends to make the overall shopping bill far more expensive as it's almost impossible to progress to the foodstuffs before you've half-filled your trolley with things you hadn't set out to buy in the first place! I therefore prefer to shop in Morrisons across the road, however this is an excellent store and well worth a look if you've got time to browse.

Water, milk, soda, sparkling wine, red wine, pasta, bread, steaks, blue cheese, fruit and veggies. Some snacks for our doggie. As usual we found everything we needed and as usual for the same good quality and prices. Another enjoyable shopping experience at Tesco.

They stock the daily essentials from bread, milk, some fruite, cereal and biscuits etc. The store has good opening times and access into the store is by automatic doors making it both wheelchair and puschair friendly. The staff were helpful and I did not have to queue for very long. They accept the clubcard so you can get points which can be saved up and exchanged either to pay for your shopping or spent on clubcard deals.

Stuck religiously to the opening times and all the staff were friendly. They've recently added a lot more appliances which is good to see, but more often than not there are some super deals that Co Op in Dunoon are offering and the prices are lower sometimes on basic amenities. Could be a bit more spacious given that there is an upstairs but it is never used, which is a pity as this supermarket could really expand and steal customers from Morrisons. Unlike the previous reviewer on here, Co Op has always had a much smaller fresh food grocery section than Morrisons and the frozen food freezers are located on the far end of the shop - not as big as what Morrisons offer. However, the store is a good one if Morrisons has let you down. The car park is also bigger and there's also an ATM on the side of the building that doesn't charge for use.

The car park is quite small and the parking spaces are also quite petite, not helped by the hite haired ladies who abandon their cars! It is a busy store and there can be long queues to drive into and out of the car park. This isn't helped by the garage which is one of the cheapest in the area and adds to the number of people visiting. Overall a good sized supermarket for all your needs.
