The staff was extremely helpful and very pleasant. This is fifth generation ownership. You heard me correctly fifth generation. You don't survive five generations without integrity. Unfortunately, the clasp replacement needed to be sent out, which did surprise me as I just assumed there was an on-site jeweler who could do small repairs like that. The set was in need of a cleaning so we added that to the order. Fortunately, the Representative informed me that the jewelry I was bringing in should not be cleaned in one of those ultrasound machines. I am so glad she told me that. I did not ask for an appraisal this time because funds were a little tight but toward the end of the year, I will consider bringing all of our jewelry to them so that we can update our insurance. They went out of their way to accommodate my schedule, which did not allow for me to pick up for several months. They kept in touch, as did I to make sure that my daughter said was well cared for until we could get there. Just a tip for the public;, the price of precious metals has skyrocketed so any Repair may set you back a bit more than you expected. I felt that the price was fair, all things considered. Would I shop at Zimmer Brothers Jewelers in the future? Absolutely! They have an extensive collection of unique jewelry and a reputation that has lasted more than 130 years. I took a photograph of the lovely people who helped me and will upload it at a later date

This was accomplished with the help of our sales associate, Retno, Bonnie, Mary Ellen and Shanna who came up with the idea for the design. I'm very thankful to all the salespeople at Zimmer Brothers who worked hard on our behalf.

Being that we live in Beacon, he wanted to support local first. When my husband went in to browse and get some help, Rudy discouraged him from buying a ring...period. My husband wanted to surprise me and knows me well enough to know what I'll like, thanks for your help! FYI my husband went to the diamond district and had a custom ring made that I LOVE...hope you didn't want that $8,000 Rudy! I also went in one morning to ask a question and see if I could get a cleaning done. He was short with me and dismissed me saying he couldn't clean my rings because he hadn't turned the machine on yet. Well first off all, you opened your shop on time and then went to get mail, leaving myself and two other customers confused, waiting for your return. Second of all, had you have been there, the machine would have been ready. Third of all, you didn't ask what time frame I was on, I had a few hours and could have came back. Again, hope you didn't want my money, I gave you a second shot since you're right down the street, and you failed...again. MY personal opinion? And they continued to give high priced jewelry for subsequent events. The service is spectacular! Our favorite people are Serena and Brandy, the owner. They know every piece of merchandise in the store and can take you directly to what you need or want. They are professional and extremely pleasant. They will give you an honest opinion, even if it means you buy something much less expensive. For example, today I went in to buy a pair of earrings I saw advertised in their beautiful holiday catalog. Brandy advised me that the size was too small and Serena knew just the pair I would like. The earrings were less than half the price of the ones I had originally wanted. The shopping experience at KFJ is always so enjoyable. If you need to return a piece of jewelry, the return policy is excellent. Many smaller stores only give store credit, but not KFJ. If you need a watchband changed or other small jewelry adjustment, KFJ does not charge and is happy to accommodate. They keep track of what one buys so it is easy to complement purchases. The shop owner has a gentle disposition and the store has a simple layout. I thought I found a new go to jewelry but I was wrong. The work I had done was sloppy and the customer service leaves much to be desired. I asked to have a link repaired on a necklace and they soldered it and created an unsightly, grey clump of silver that ruined the chain and made it unwearable. Took it back and after 6 months, I had heard nothing. I finally called because I was afraid they lost it. Turns out they decided they couldn't fix it BUT NEVER TOLD ME. I had to call to get it back. I gave them a small plastic bag of loose parts that I asked them to assess if they were gold. They said they didn't have it FOUR times over several months of me asking. I knew I left it with them but decided not to argue about it because they still had the pocket watches. I also asked them to put me on the list to have a grandmother clock repairs by a guy who did house calls. I asked several time over a YEAR if the guy was coming. After TWO years, have never received a call. Gave up and learned how to fix it myself. After 1.5 years, they call me to pick up the loose parts as if I abandoned them; they ones they said THEY NEVER HAD! I go to pick them up and I'm mad. The sales guy, let's call him Dennis, came over with the parts and started a drippy apology. I didn't want to hear it and said just giver me the bag. He says "relax". For the women reading this, when a man says to "relax", they are being condescending and disrespectful. I told him that in a loud voice. So as I'm leaving he says RELAX again and said you lost my stuff for 1.5 years and held my watch without telling me it couldn't be fixed. If he was a good salesperson, he would have known that I was mad when I brushed off his apology and just given me my stuff and let it go. But no, he decided to act like a petulant 5-year old and try to put me down. He KNEW he was in the wrong but couldn't accept it. What a disappointment. I mentioned this whole thing to a friend who said this same shop lost her engagement ring when she brought it in for repair. THEY LOST HER ENGAGEMENT RING.
