I was very frustrated as the trailer had to be driven back to Detroit on Sunday. I called College Hunks at 7pm on a Saturday night and miracously they were able to help. Two nice men showed up at 8:45 (15 minutes early!) on a Sunday morning. They were efficient, polite and turned my previous terrible experience around. I try to use local businesses whenever I can but I highly recommend this national franchise! #thankscollegehunks

It bothers me that I have to leave even 1 star. Never hire these crooks - this company and its…read moremovers are atrocious people. I had 4 items to move. 2 young guys half my age took over 30min to move these items into the truck. It felt suspicious to me. I follow behind them to the delivery address and they get in the wrong lane. I pull-up and ask where they're going, and the driver proceeds to say they need a break and have to eat something. I followed them to a gas station where I'm speaking to an agent that I'm not paying for a break that could have been taken between jobs and was told I won't be paying for that -- they charge $170 an hour btw. They get back in the truck and continue to go in the wrong direction. They pull into their office on Donelson & park the truck. I hop out and accuse them of purposefully wasting my time in order to bill me more for 4 items. We get into a shouting match and the driver who lied and said he was getting gas when he was just at a gas station said he could take a break whenever he wants and doesn't have to tell me, he told me to f**k off, and that he could waste my time and money if he wants to. Then they refused to open the truck so I can get my items and the office staff called the police. I explained to the cops what they did and that I will take my items in my car myself. And, I did. It took one highly aware and strong woman, who called-out these fraudsters to their face, less than 25min to load & unload my 4 items. This company should be investigated for billing fraud - they are dishonest, lack integrity, and are lazy. This isn't just a horrible experience. This shows everyone reading what is wrong with lazy people who think your money is their money -- and I don't have money like that -- I work 80hrs a week because I was homeless 8month ago. Stay far away from these criminals!

The owner is one of the nicest, most genuine people you'll ever meet. He truly cares about his customers, and it shows in every part of the business. His crew was just as impressive--extremely efficient, professional, respectful, and incredibly kind throughout the entire move. They treated our belongings with great care, worked quickly without cutting corners, and made what is usually a stressful day feel completely effortless. Their communication, attitude, and work ethic were outstanding. If you're looking for movers you can trust, stop searching and call Amco Movers of Tennessee. I recommend them without hesitation, and they'll be the only moving company I use from now on. Thank you for making our move such a great experience!

They got most of our boxes to the correct rooms and were respectful of our furniture and home. The price definitely seemed fair for moving rates these days. My one complaint is that the crew seemed a little young and inexperienced. We had a couch we wanted to take upstairs and they just decided it wasn't going to fit and left it downstairs. My husband has measured now and it definitely will fit and now we're left to try to figure out how to get it upstairs on our own. More experienced movers will have measured before just giving up on the job. Otherwise they did a good job and we were happy with their service.

I moved from a first-floor apartment to a third-floor apartment, and they never once lost their positive attitudes. They were friendly, professional, and always had smiles on their faces. Their patience and professionalism were truly appreciated. I would highly recommend AMS Moving to anyone, and if you have the chance, definitely request Harold and Leonardo. They made what could have been a stressful day an incredibly smooth experience!

WATCH YOUR BILL!!! LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM!! HONESTLY JUST GLAD IT IS OVER!!!!! :(…read more They arrived two hours later than their scheduled arrival time with absolutely no explanation or communication. The biggest issue, though, was the lack of urgency and professionalism once they arrived. You're paying by the hour, and Michael spent what felt like the majority of the move scrolling on his phone between nearly every box he moved. He didn't introduce himself when he arrived. He flung our stuff around with ZERO care. To make matters worse, we eventually realized that Michael was the person in charge!? Herberto, on the other hand, was a hustler. He was moving quickly, working hard, and clearly understood that we were paying by the hour. I really appreciated his urgency and effort. Then, in the middle of the move, they took an HOUR-LONG break without communicating anything to us. Conveniently, that hour was still included on the bill until we caught it and called them out on it. Watch your bill carefully. EVEN THE CUSTOMER SERVICE PEOPLE SAID THEY COULDNT GET IN TOUCH WITH THE MOVERS... and had no explanation for where they were!!!!? ZERO COMMUNICATION FROM MICHAEL. At one point, Michael even told Herberto to stop walking so fast and working so quickly. I honestly couldn't believe it. When you're paying movers by the hour, I would expect the people in charge to be encouraging efficiency--not slowing down the person who is actually hustling to get the job done. Herberto said he just wanted to get home... ME TOO! Overall, I was extremely unimpressed with the lack of communication, urgency, and professionalism. Herberto was the clear standout and worked incredibly hard, but unfortunately the overall experience was not one I would recommend. Totally unimpressed. Totally disrespected. WATCH YOUR BILL !!

The table was already known to be fragile, but it was not handled with the care it required. A chipped mirror piece was left behind, which was disappointing. While they did bring proper equipment, it wasn't used as effectively as it should have been to protect the furniture.
