We recently moved 3.9 miles within the same city and had a very disappointing experience with Messolar Moving And Installation Services. This company is based out of Smyrna, Tennessee. Before the move, we completed and submitted their detailed inventory form six days in advance. After problems arose, we were told they never received it due to a "technical glitch" and no meaningful accountability taken. Despite having no inventory information, they proceeded without contacting us, even though we later provided proof it had been submitted. On moving day, they arrived with one adult mover and two teenage workers. A fourth mover never showed up, and another teenager arrived hours later. The adult was the only person able to assemble furniture, leaving others waiting for instructions while we were billed by the hour. What should have been a routine local move became a 12.5-hour ordeal and still was not finished. The crew had to return the next morning to complete the job. To make matters worse, that evening they insisted we return to our old house so they could retrieve moving blankets they "had to have that night," even though they were already scheduled to return the next morning. Ironically, those same blankets came right back with them the next day. We also treated the crew well, providing Gatorades and pizza. When they returned the next morning, they asked us for water rather than arriving prepared. We provided it, but after everything else, it added to the frustration. The problems didn't end there. One dresser was damaged, and the company charged the wrong bank account despite our payment instructions. When we raised concerns, accountability was non-existent. The most frustrating part was the response afterward. Isabel Guzman acknowledged that a move of our size would typically receive 6-8 movers and two large trucks because it would be faster and more cost-effective. Initially, we were told that if they had received our inventory form, they would have recommended a different staffing plan. After we provided proof that the form had been submitted six days earlier, the explanation changed. Isabel then claimed that using one truck and four movers (three teenagers), taking 12.5 hours and requiring a second day, actually saved us $120.62 compared to the properly staffed move she had described. This simply doesn't make sense. According to MESSOLAR, the only difference was the job duration. Apparently, an unfinished move, damaged furniture, and a return trip were worth $120.62. Their offered resolution for all of these issues was a $185 credit. One final point: despite our frustration with the company, we tipped each worker $40 because our concerns were with management, not the crew. In summary: * Failed to review inventory information submitted six days in advance. * Sent an inadequately staffed crew that included multiple teenage workers. * Took 12.5 hours and still failed to complete the move in one day. * Damaged furniture. * Charged the wrong account. * Created unnecessary inconvenience by demanding immediate retrieval of moving blankets despite returning the next morning. * Offered minimal compensation while refusing meaningful accountability. I've moved long distance before with another company and had an excellent experience. Somehow, moving less than four miles with MESSOLAR became the worst moving experience I've ever had. Movers were friendly and took good care of items but moved like they were paid by the hour. It took them 8 hours for one truck load to be moved to storage. I paid for 4 guys, one stayed in the truck the entire time, 2 often stood around as 1 wrapped up edges of furniture.. no hustle whatsoever. DO NOT USE - BUYER BEWARE! I spoke with sales person Isabella Guzman who made promises that they did not do. She confirmed "professionals" (the 4 kids were NOT professionals. Secondly, she said they would "arrive with tools" to disassemble my refrigerator. THEY did NOT. The kids had NO clue and therefore did not remove the appliance from my home. They were super unprofessional speaking about me (foul language) assuming I didn't understand them. They stood around on their phones and didn't know HOW to pack the truck. Isabella assured me the truck would accommodate a 3 bedroom home. I sold beds, desks, etc. so I ended up only having "2 bedrooms" to move and because the kids were NOT professional movers the truck was full and therefore they left items in my garage and didn't move the items or my refrigerator. Additionally Isabella confirmed that they would make a stop at a furniture (on the way) to pick up a few pieces that they would deliver into my new home. THEY didn't make the stop. Isabella estimated my move approximately 4 hours WRONG! Because the first group of "kids" were NOT professionals Isabella scheduled 3 MORE moving men to disassemble and move the appliance. So a 4 hour move ended up taking 12 HOURS!! Then the first group of kids were asking for cash tips and when I said no they were super upset and when they delivered my items they basically put everything in the garage...although every box and furniture was labeled per rooms. Not sure if they did not read English but either way they DID NOT complete what was agreed upon. When I disputed the charge they "lied" and said "they completed the move"...yes they did HOWEVER they DID NOT do as Isabella stated they would. So, they're a SCAM and very DISHONEST BUSINESS. They DO NOT have a "business" address so when I drove to Smyrna to meet with Aldo (Nazzaro Messori) the owner, I was told to meet him at a Starbucks in a Target store because they "DO NOT HAVE A BUSINESS FACILITY". Because of the horrible service Aldo asked me "what was a fair cost", I told him $500 and he AGREED! However, he would ONLY ACCEPT CASH. He met me at my bank in Smyrna, I counted out five $100 bills and gave it to him. Isabella sent me an "adjusted" invoice ($500) and he signed the back of my bank withdrawal receipt stating, "$500 Cash Payment was to satisfy the entire April 29th move". NOW comes the best part of their dishonesty. Isabella and Aldo KEPT the $500 cash AND they disputed with the credit card company so now they got paid by the credit card company AND WOULD NOT RETURN THE $500 CASH. Isabella is "claiming" the $500 is a payment. THIS DOESN"T MAKE SENSE. Why would I pay them $1,536.33 and $246.33 (because she had to send a second group of 3 men to move the fridge that she GUARNTEED would be moved by the first 4 young kids. So WHY the Hell would I give them ANOTHER $500 in cash. I've reported them to the BBB and guess what...there is another complaint with the SAME issues I had. I still haven't received the $500 cash so now I am forced to take them to Small Claims Court!! WTF..AGAIN, THEY ARE A DISHONEST, SCAM COMPANY!! read more

This company is the worst! The moving experience was the worst! I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. I have back issues and couldn't go through my things right after the move and when I did. Some ofy pictures and frames are broken They went back and used my credit card and charged me almost a thousand dollars in addition to the fifteen hundred I already paid and they used my card without my permission. I hired two movers to help load my truck rental for an out of state trip. Professional work. Packed things in the order requested (as I had multiple locations to stop at) and knew how to efficiently load the vehicle so everything fit in the truck. They were also quick workers and the service was very reasonably priced. I used Messolar last year for a local move as well. That time there were 2 different movers and they provided the truck. Hired them through HireAHelper to help my sister move. They showed up, moved some things, complained about too much litter, left to get gloves and masked and then just ghosted her. Sure, we got a refund thankfully but it was still highly unprofessional. They called me to tell me it was cancelled but when she called them after that (I figured they had told her on site) they lied and said they were still coming back. That may be on HireAHelper's end but the chain of command and information was incredibly messed up. read more

"This is the 2nd time I used company- I only decided to use them because of current reviews.  I had an unpleasant experience with the last project - workers nice enough but space not utilized and direction not followed'-- One must ask the question what is more important competency or courtesy**should one have to lack to get the other.. I even reached by email for assistance and did not get a reply. The email is below.  I received 2 inexperienced movers that did not speak english.  They THREW my belongings into my storage unit haphazardly.  The truck had to be loaded x2 because they did not know how to load.  They continued to state boxes 1st but to see storage that is not what happened -- I had to state the same direction through G-translate for them to move forward and do the opposite.  I can not locate anything.  I purchased a larger storage unit that I needed and a 10x20 for 2bedroom no appliances -- and it is a mess - a plethora of disorder. I will have to hire them to unload/move because NO ONE will want to touch it.  It looks as if someone has gone in and took what they wanted and left the rest.  I should have been; all boxes together, bins together, and then furniture.  there would have been plenty of room-  I now have a storage that is trashed with damaged items.  see email with request to be contacted below. ...Hello I booked a move as a returning customer for July 27 2024.  I paid the deposit and set time. The 2 person team that arrived did not speak english and an excessive amount of time was spent using the google translator app that I had to recommend. They were attempting to communicate or not communicate without it. I had to give the same directions over and over.  everything goes NO APPLIANCES then everything NO WASHER NO DRYER, then just boxes bins and containers.  It was redundant and excessive -- this took up more time .  and after all of that on the 2nd load that would not have been needed if the truck would have been loaded properly they still attempted to take the freezer, washer, dryer, and fridge. When I say the truck was not loaded properly --things were just thrown about haphazardly. This also occurred inside of my 10x20 ----- 2 door storage unit. I have attached pictures. It looks as if a bomb exploded. I have no idea how it will be unloaded when I move I can barely open the doors. things on top of fragile items boxes are katy corner furniture upside down. I purchased a larger storage so that there would be additional room. If the boxes went 1st why does the unit look like it does? Why send workers that could not communicate (read or speak english) - it makes the process longer/cost more. As leaves the door open for possible damage. Why send workers that do not know how to pack/stack boxes and or furniture? I need to speak to a supervisor regarding my concerns. I do no want to speak with someone trying to sell me something I do not want to speak with the driver I want to speak with a supervisor regarding the wasted time and money.  Also the fact that I will have to use the company to empty the storage because it is in such disarray.... read more

Horrible service. I have had to completely repack the moving truck myself as things were not packed properly. An original painting was literally thrown on top of everything and it has been destroyed and the truck hasn't even left my driveway! My antique grandfather clock was not handled properly and will likely never work again. They literally shoved things into spaces without securing them properly with the straps, blankets, and tie downs I provided. They are saying they are not responsible for any of this and that is completely unacceptable. read more

Well apparently I took too long to make the payment and after my daughter left the workers went back in and stole my TVs. We hired Messolar Moving to move us to a large house we just bought in Franklin. We met with Aldo and Rafael to asses the needs of the move and to plan the move. They sent us 3 trucks for 2 days with a 6 man team Andres, Gregorio, Emanuel, Ramon, Cristobal and Enzo. These guys were fantastic. They worked non stop, punctual, careful and very friendly. They wrapped blankets and shrink wrap all the furniture. They worked as a team to move a couple of very large entertainment centers and a dining room table. It is clear that they worked as a team not like other moving companies who hired anyone to just move boxes. We are completely satisfied. They deserve 10 stars for a job well done. We plan to use them again next month for our daughter's move. We will recommend them to anyone we know. Thank you for making this large move stress free. read more
