He discussed that installing some corrugated drain pipes and two French drains would correct the identified drainage issue. Chris provided a quote and was hired. He began work a few weeks later. My property was such that all work hand to be manually "hand trenched" using shovels. After the first day of the two day project, there were heavy rains that night. Chris's work fixed the primary problem that I had hired him for, but with the heavy rains, an additional drainage problem was discovered. Chris quickly responded by ordering additional materials and expanded his scope of work to include this new area. So, on his second and final day of work, Chris completed the initial project and also completed the additional work. Chris Peters represents the very definition of "professional". However, the basement was not finished, but had rough-in plumbing installed. We were looking for someone to finish the basement (4 rooms total), including adding an additional bedroom with closet and full bathroom. This included all electrical, plumbing, framing, drywall, door installation, flooring, trim, and painting. Mike was quick to respond to my original inquiry, come check out the space, and provide a quote. He was timely, friendly, and easy to collaborate with. We changed our mind a few times on final design - we appreciate how patient he was with us while we narrowed in on the final plan. The final quote was very detailed and he provided helpful information on the areas for potential cost increase (given that the home is old and there could have been unexpected things identified after work begun). This helped us set our expectations for the project. During the project, he kept us up to date on progress or concerns and kept the area very clean (ensuring very little debris made its way outside the basement into our home). He managed all of the subcontractors (electric, plumbing, carpet, etc) so we didn't need to worry about a thing. Made it super easy by having one point of contact! His work speaks for itself. There were a lot of difficult aspects of the basement to figure out (i.e. uneven walls and ceilings, tricky vents or pipes along the ceiling, water/electrical shutoffs needing to be accessible, etc), but he managed to turn the space into exactly what we were looking for. The attention to detail makes all the difference! In the end, the project took about two months (including carpet installation) and final cost was in line with the estimate. She's rude, unhelpful, and has no customer empathy. We've been an Indy Irrigation customer for over 10 years, mainly because they installed our irrigation system. They're customer service has degraded year over year as their prices increased. This year we reached a breaking point. They were supposed to open our system as part of our maintenance contract. We were out of town when they arrived. They left with the water turned off at the street because one of the valves (for our garden) was stuck on. The technician didn't fix it, stating that he couldn't find the valve box. Indy Irrigation should know where it is -- they insstalled it and it's right next to the garden! We contacted them and they wanted to charge us for another trip to our house, and they couldn't guarantee when they would arrive. They were currently scheduling into July, but no guarantee. My wife told them that they were going to lose us as a customer and the woman at the office didn't budge. Ten plus years a customer, 10+ years paying annual maintenance contract. No more. Goodbye Indy Irrigation. We called another company and they are coming out at 6pm today. They recognized the urgency of the situation, and the opportunity to get a new client.

Based on my own personal experience with Hoosier Lawn Pride, I would not recommend them at all for these simple facts and believe the other negative reviews have some merit: 1.) Hoosier Lawn pride never provided an estimate as they indicated they would. 2.) Their mastery with being dishonest is unsettling. I asked the owner Patrick Morris of Hoosier Pride if he or his business has a 3B - Turf management license from Purdue and told me "Yes". When in fact he (Patrick Morris) does not and has never received this license. The actual license status for Hoosier Lawn Pride or it's agent(s) was provided and confirmed by an uninterested third party at the time this review. The lack of a license explains why he sub-contracts out traditional lawn services like applying fertilizer, which was different from the explanation he provided in a meeting on the topic. If this license information is incorrect then please list and provide your 3B - Turf Management license number, license issuance date, license expiration date, and or 3B - Turf Management certification number. 3.) Hoosier Lawn Pride sub-contracts a large percentage of their business to another company, which was not disclosed to me until the meeting. I do not believe in middle man operations and usually they do not favor the consumer in the event of an issue or seeking relief for an issue due to convoluted nature of the arrangement. Had this been disclosed or outlined on any listing that states his services offered. I would have never contacted him for an estimate. In closing, do your own research on Hoosier Lawn Pride, it's affiliates, agents, and or it's sub contractors to see if they are a good fit for your lawn prior to hiring them. I am glad that I did and wish that I did more research prior to arranging a meeting for a free estimate. However, you can only make an informed decision based on what is disclosed or what reviews are posted.
