Today is the first hot day of the summer season and I though about Morris. I was very apprehensive when I began research for a heating and air provider. I live in Morganton, NC and got three quotes from providers in my immediate area, all were very professional but I wasn't pleased with the quote. I then remembered Morris Heating and Air because I had considered them 10 years previous for a job when I lived in Marion, NC. So I gave them a call, every experience I have had with Morris has been great from beginning to end. The Office manager/ Scheduler is polite, prompt and well linked to the installation side of the business. The installers (2) were very courteous, punctual and through. I had them come back out because I didn't know how to work the system (contributing factor was my furnace work as the secondary and I let it run out of oil and was unable to process how the system worked). The clinician was very patient in explaining the system multiple times because I was confused and he had to repeat the same conversation with my wife. Everything from beginning to end has been wonderful and I feel very fortunate. Morris is extremely competitive price wise and the services I received was stellar. I would recommend Morris for all your heating and air needs, I will definitely have the back late fall to install mini-splits upstairs. read more

I had a new heat pump installed two and a half years ago. It has never worked properly, particularly during the summer. The installing hvac company had come out multiple times, said it was the valve and replaced it, but still it didn't work. I called in a second company, who came to my house over a dozen times, each time saying it was fixed. They made it worse than ever. After being completely frustrated, a friend in the construction business told me to call Morris. Jody came to my house and gave me a very fair quote to fix this. It was never about the unit - it was the ductwork. Over the last few days Terry, Alejandro, Jackson and Josh replaced some of the ductwork and it's now running like a dream. The guys were respectful, professional, and even cleaned up all of the previous company's garbage that they had left in the attic. Morris Heating and Cooling has a new, loyal customer. read more

This Five Star review is all about their Technician George. I have endured 90+ degree heat thru the summer thus far. I had the system and ductwork checked and had portions of ductwork replaced and repaired. George was contacted when I still did not have a functioning system. He was the first Technician to realize that there was no Freon in the system. He performed the service call outside of his normal work hours, attempted to locate the small leak, and worked in horrendous heat, while maintaining a pleasant and profession demeanor. He explained each step and made sure that I understood the processes. George did not leave until he had my air conditioning running and my home cooling despite the heat and humidity he was working in. Our older furnace quit working, and we still have lots of cold weather left this year. We were planning to replace it during warm weather. Jody from Morris heating and Air came, discussed with us our options, and determined what was needed. They sent a portable air handler to keep us warm. Everything was ordered, and in one week they began. Since the project was a complete overhaul and all ductwork was being replaced they scheduled 5 days. Technicians began on a Monday and were finished Thursday afternoon. Christian and Jesse were great. They worked as a team, Christian explained all they were doing throughout the process. Jody Franklin, estimator & first contact, very professional, noticed items other companies did not, provided more services/items others did not, but was definitely needed to make my new system the most efficient, confident in his replies to my questions & I did not have to ask as many questions as he gave info initially. Mike and Josh was professional, trustworthy & again answered my questions fully & gave education on aspects of system/thermostat which I needed to hear. I called Morris Heating & Cooling concerning issues with my unit blowing out gritty debris through the vents, this is a problem I have been dealing with for a long time. I spoke with Holly on the phone and she was a great help in getting the techs lined up to come right away and clean and vacuum out all the ductwork and vents. Chris and Nate arrived on time and worked all day vacuuming and cleaning, they not only cleaned everything, but they got to the root of the problem. TLDR: AAA+++ Problem: Needed a second opinion after another company said inside unit needed to be replaced. Original HVAC from 2003, so, yeah, it's probably toast right? ...called Morris, as they came recommended to me. Evan called 30 minutes out prior to our 8am appt. On time on time. Like on the dot. Military precision--likes that! Evan had me up and working in a few hours. No immediate replacement...he gave me a year before RIP OG unit. Plenty of time to organize a $plan to replace it. Def going with Morris and Evan's exact recommendation. This guy knows his stuff. Period. read more

Excellent work for a very reasonable price!! Lawrence was our technician and he was phenomenal! We have a very rambunctious 4 year old and he was so patient and kind to her. The starting temp in our modular was 88° and Lawrence worked quickly to get our unit back in working condition. He explained everything that was done and made sure that we understood. He also checked each vent in the home to be sure we were getting the best output and even gave us pointers to help us keep our home cooler while helping save energy! Mike and Troy from Morris heating and cooling just wrapped up installation of a new heat pump system. The work looks beautiful, including replacing our old ducting. Morris was the only company to offer us options for heating that did not involve the additional cost of installing new electric for heat strips. Isaiah was friendly and very helpful with his recommendations. It's cooling great out the gate, and look forward to using our new unit for heating this winter.
