**Authentic Moroccan Delight in Orlando! ** During our trip to Orlando, my daughter and I discovered Moroccan Breeze in the Apna Bazaar food court, and it was an absolute treat! On our second day, we shared the Lamb Couscous and the Lamb Tagine with prunes, both bursting with rich, authentic flavors that transported us straight to Morocco. The dishes were incredibly delicious and masterfully prepared. To complement our meal, we enjoyed refreshing mint tea and a selection of delightful pastries. Everything was perfect! We were so impressed that we returned on our last day in Orlando to bring some of this culinary magic back home to Tampa to share with my husband and son. Moroccan Breeze has truly captured the essence of Moroccan cuisine, and we can't wait for our next visit. If you're in Orlando, don't miss out on this hidden gem!

Decent lunch at a reasonable price within the food court at Apna Bazaar. I got the chicken kebab platter with rice and salad. My order did take more than 15 minutes so be prepared for a little wait. The chicken was seasoned and cooked nicely, juicy and a little charred. The rice on the other hand was a bit bland and the salad consisted mostly of tomatoes with olive oil. Will I return? Maybe to try something different.

    Lamb couscous.

The best Moroccan food I have had in the states. Very authentic and fresh. You will be doing yourself a favor by stopping by! We got lamb couscous, my daughter has a merguez plate and we ordered zaalouk on the side. We were so happily full! Trying to convince the family to travel to Orlando for another trip here

To get to Moroccan Breeze, you have to enter through the front doors of Apna Bazaar, which in and of itself is a worthwhile foodie destination with one of largest selections of international foods and fresh halal meats. So don't worry if you can't find it from the outside. The menu here is pretty simple and upfront with a selection of Couscous dishes, Tagines, (Moroccan tagine dishes are slow cooked savory stews, typically made with sliced meat, poultry or fish together with vegetables or fruit, spices, nuts, and dried fruits are also used) soups and salads, side items like Beef Briwat, sandwiches and a nice little bakery selection of fresh baked cookies and other Moroccan sweets. Inside is not fancy at all, it's more like a food hall or a cafeteria feel, and there is also another Indian restaurant that occupies the space to the right, but I can assure you the food is five star quality. The Beef Briwat at Moroccan Breeze is simply amazing... this is a savory pastry filled with Moroccan Kefta (ground beef) deep fried and dusted with powdered sugar. Savory, deep fried and a touch of sweet, this is simply phenomenal and I could seriously eat about a dozen of these. This is the Merguez Sandwich, Merguez is a sausage made with uncooked lamb, beef, or a mixture stuffed into a lamb intestine casing and then cooked. It is heavily spiced with cumin and chili pepper or harissa for great flavors and a touch of heat. Lamb couscous comes in a generous portion, it can easily be shared. This dish is full of flavor with veggies, chickpeas, sweet raisins, and a good amount of lamb with aged butter served over a bed of freshly made couscous. You can get lamb, chicken or beef couscous at Moroccan Breeze, but if you want something extra special, get the Royal Couscous with beef, lamb and chicken for all of your meat coma dreams. Sure, all of the couscous dishes, the tagine the merguez sausage and probably everything here at Moroccan Breeze is really damn good, but they also make a good Shawarma packed full of chicken and beef with excellent flavors. The selection of baked goods and sweets here is pretty decent as well. Chef Habiba graciously gave us all a free sample of a variety of cookies, and all were really good. We especially enjoyed the Ghoriba Bahla Moroccan Shortbread and the Semolina and Almond cookies that were not overly sweet but quite tasty. Mint Tea is always a good after meal drink, as it is said to help digestion. Chef Habiba also gave us this on the house as well. This was offered with sugar to add, but I found it was not necessary as I really enjoyed the fresh minty and smooth flavor of the tea. This a simple place, that is quite honestly unheralded and somewhat unknown, but the quality of food here is as good as it gets for Moroccan food, and Chef Habiba and the staff here are wonderful people.

My go-to order is the Vegetarian Platter with a rotating side and sweets. This dish comes with hummus, zaalouk (eggplant spread), Moroccan salad (tomatoes, red onions, and green peppers), and pita bread. It always tastes so fresh! I enjoy the variety of this platter as well as the variations of each item as the seasoning can vary slightly. This platter would also make a great appetizer to share. Today, I also tried the Falafel Sandwich for the first time. I enjoyed the texture of the bread- crispy crust with a soft interior. The falafel was delicious! Great flavor. Not too dense, not dry. The toppings paired well with the falafel. THE GARLIC SAUCE! That sauce was so good! My only wish was that there was more of it. Next time, I'll definitely order it with extra. The sandwich was very filling, especially paired with.... THE FRIES. What a surprise! These are some of the best fries I've ever had. LOL They were perfectly crispy on the outside, yet the right ratio of potato-y for a fry. The flavor was great, so much so I ate all of them plain. No ketchup needed! Although I bet they would taste great dipped in their garlic sauce or Harissa hot sauce. For a sweet treat, I ordered Almond Ghriba and Pistachio Baklava. The Almond Ghriba is my new favorite! It's similar in texture to my all-time favorite shortbread cookies and the almond flavor is delightful. A subtle sweet, if you will. The Pistachio Baklava was also tasty, but too sweet for my preference. The pistachio gave it a wonderful nutty flavor that helped tame the sweetness. The Baklava would pair well with their espresso! I've ordered to-go from here several times. The service is always quick and the food never disappoints! I've dined-in only once and the ambiance makes you feel like you're in Morocco. Beautiful decor! The colors, the patterns. It's wonderful to take in as you wait for your food to arrive. I need to visit more often!

The sauce is perfect for anyone who loves garlic. It complimented the lamb really nicely. The service was really friendly. I didn't want onions so I had to order it at the counter and they let me customize it. They do have a self-serve tablet to order from if you'd prefer. I like the way it looked inside. The rich blue walls were calming. I would definitely come back and eat here. Excited to try more!

I loved the hummus and it came with a great portion to share. The tagine also tasted lovely-- savory and sweet-- but 1/4 of it was fat. The leaner pieces were tender and I loved the apricots! Perfect with the bread. As for the tiramisu it had me feeling weird since it was obviously currently defrosting as we ate it... apologies for the photo of it haha but we found it quite difficult to eat since it was frozen. It felt cozy and I really liked the overall atmosphere. I wish they had a few seats set up at the bar for a quick appetizer or tea, but there was plenty of other seating in the large booths. The service was a huge highlight here. Sure, the restaurant wasn't very crowded when we went, but I've been in similar situations where the staff wasn't as attentive so it was still very much appreciated. We didn't wait long between appetizer and the main meal but also did not feel rushed at all. The food, and the entire dining experience, was very authentic. They had a beautiful tea set for our mint tea. The tagine came in traditional clay bowls. Everything we ordered was delicious. The hummus was as tasty as it looks, I loved the olive oil and olives it came with, everything tasted so fresh. The tagines we ordered exceeded expectations! The flavors incorporated into my lemon chicken dish were incredible and the meat fell off the bone like butter! The kefta egg tagine was super filling and tasty as well. But I was alone, there were only three other tables occupied, and I had water, one course, and dessert...and I was there for 90 minutes. Again everything seemed freshly made so that may just be what's needed but it was a little long to sit alone Decor is initially impressive, colorful and on theme. But on closer inspection the tablecloths are thick vinyl - mine had what appeared to be a cigarette hole burned into it - and the clear glass vases had cheap fake plastic flowers in them. I was seated in the center with standard chairs but tables along the walls had banquets with overstuffed Moroccan pillows and velvet upholstery. One table had a pair of beautiful green velvet Chesterfield sofas. There's a little shop in the back but had I not read about it in a review I wouldn't have noticed as it was behind one of the tables and from a distance just looked like more decor. However, it turned out to be a flavorful, shareable Turkish dining experience that was well worth the money even though I'm very much A Poor.   The must-order for the table on each visit is the Lavas ($6), a baked to order hollow bread that has a taste akin to a pita but arrives "puffed up" and has a light, airy taste to it (we ended up ordering two, we liked it with our dips so much).   We ordered the Select Two Appetizer ($12) to dip our Lavas in, and chose the Cold Cucumber Dip and the Muhammara (a puree of red peppers, walnuts, garlic, olive oil, and pomegranate molasses) as our two.   To drink, I ordered the Old-Fashioned Turk ($15), an old-fashioned but with house-made Turkish fig bitters and cherry juice, which gave it a distinctive, almost spicy(?) taste.   Though some items are pricier than others, it's possible to eat here affordably if 2-3 people are splitting a few appetizers and an entree. There were three of us that night, but for our entrée we ordered the Mixed Grill Dinner for Two ($54). Despite the name, this huge plate of meats was more than enough for the three of us to split. The meats consisted of Beef Kebap, Chicken, and Lamb, and was served over rice and came with a side of something similar to tzatziki dip.   Parking can be an issue depending on when you go (it's situated right on Park Ave in Winter Park), but there are street lots across the street about a 5 minute walk away, and street parking along neighboring side streets.   Because of the price, this is definitely more of a special occasion restaurant for me than something casual, but you get a good amount of food for the price, with good atmosphere and even better service, so I'd definitely return again.
