What a wonderful authentic place for all your morroccan food cravings. This is great even by Moroccan gastronomy standards, all tucked in the back of an unsuspecting Apna Bazaar. We had an assortment of finger food (briwat), which are actually a very large size (enough for a meal) instead of the spring roll size we were expecting. Delicious and great value. We also tried chef Habiba's Bastilla which is incredible. The selection of traditional Moroccan cookies is very similar to what you'd find in a nice patisserie in Morocco, like Chebakiya, honey nuts briwats etc... but those specialty delicacies are very intricate and time consuming to make, and therefore hard to find abroad. I was surprised to see them behind the glass display but here they are, light and crispy with that delicate refined flavour I remember from 20 years ago. Prices have been raised compared to what is on site. Closer to a large restaurant pricing. Lamb tagine was about $22. Appetizers were around $9 so I skip eating here at all. Decent lunch at a reasonable price within the food court at Apna Bazaar. I got the chicken kebab platter with rice and salad. My order did take more than 15 minutes so be prepared for a little wait. To get to Moroccan Breeze, you have to enter through the front doors of Apna Bazaar, which in and of itself is a worthwhile foodie destination with one of largest selections of international foods and fresh halal meats. So don't worry if you can't find it from the outside. The menu here is pretty simple and upfront with a selection of Couscous dishes, Tagines, (Moroccan tagine dishes are slow cooked savory stews, typically made with sliced meat, poultry or fish together with vegetables or fruit, spices, nuts, and dried fruits are also used) soups and salads, side items like Beef Briwat, sandwiches and a nice little bakery selection of fresh baked cookies and other Moroccan sweets. Inside is not fancy at all, it's more like a food hall or a cafeteria feel, and there is also another Indian restaurant that occupies the space to the right, but I can assure you the food is five star quality. The Beef Briwat at Moroccan Breeze is simply amazing... this is a savory pastry filled with Moroccan Kefta (ground beef) deep fried and dusted with powdered sugar. Savory, deep fried and a touch of sweet, this is simply phenomenal and I could seriously eat about a dozen of these. This is the Merguez Sandwich, Merguez is a sausage made with uncooked lamb, beef, or a mixture stuffed into a lamb intestine casing and then cooked. It is heavily spiced with cumin and chili pepper or harissa for great flavors and a touch of heat. Lamb couscous comes in a generous portion, it can easily be shared. This dish is full of flavor with veggies, chickpeas, sweet raisins, and a good amount of lamb with aged butter served over a bed of freshly made couscous. You can get lamb, chicken or beef couscous at Moroccan Breeze, but if you want something extra special, get the Royal Couscous with beef, lamb and chicken for all of your meat coma dreams. Sure, all of the couscous dishes, the tagine the merguez sausage and probably everything here at Moroccan Breeze is really damn good, but they also make a good Shawarma packed full of chicken and beef with excellent flavors. The selection of baked goods and sweets here is pretty decent as well. Chef Habiba graciously gave us all a free sample of a variety of cookies, and all were really good. We especially enjoyed the Ghoriba Bahla Moroccan Shortbread and the Semolina and Almond cookies that were not overly sweet but quite tasty. Mint Tea is always a good after meal drink, as it is said to help digestion. Chef Habiba also gave us this on the house as well. This was offered with sugar to add, but I found it was not necessary as I really enjoyed the fresh minty and smooth flavor of the tea. This a simple place, that is quite honestly unheralded and somewhat unknown, but the quality of food here is as good as it gets for Moroccan food, and Chef Habiba and the staff here are wonderful people. read more

My parents lived in Tangier, Morocco for many years; way before I was born. Therefore Moroccan culture and food has always intrigued me. I think Lamb Couscous has always been the king of dishes in that Northern African region. So, can you guess what we ordered at Moroccan Breeze? Right! Well, let me preface with this. Fact: It is really hard to find a great Moroccan restaurant in Central Florida. I know. I've tried several. There were pros and cons to my visit. So please hear me out. Pros: - The portion was large enough for two. At $14.99 it was well priced. So we shared. - It had a healthy amount of vegetables, lamb shank, and couscous. - The caramelized onions and raisins were delicious and the lamb was really tender. Cons: - It was seriously under-salted and under-seasoned. Sadly bland. Was this perhaps a one-time issue? - The location may be a little hard to find. Thankfully, I knew that it was located in the food court inside of Apna Bazaar. So if you go, please be aware. I am always happy to try new places, at least once. It was in the food court of a Moroccan market, and it was a nice slice-of-life place. I ordered a Moroccan Combo (kofta, merguez, chicken, and gyro). The food was very fragrant, and it came with a beautiful loaf of bread. The combo came with salad (could've chosen rice), and it also came with some pickles with some heat and some olives and roasted peppers. It was really delicious. Next, the owner prepared me a fresh pot of hot tea and an assortment of dessert pastries. Each of the desserts were wonderful, with a range of textures, flavors, and sweetness. Visited this place twice. Dissapounted the first time but decided to give them another chance. Promised ourself that this was the last time eating here. The chicken was super dry. The eggplant (zaalouk) did not taste like eggplant. The only drinks they have is Sprite and coke. They push their Moroccan tea which is highly overprized. The food was barely warm except for the 1 loaf of bread that comes with the meal. Both times the cashier charged us for things we didn't order. The first time we didn't notice the overcharge until we got home. This time we paid attention and were overcharged again by $12. I was given a big roll of bread as well, which I dipped into all the leftover sauce from the chicken tagine. Absolutely delicious! This appears to be a very authentic, family run place. Everyone working here was super friendly too & I just got good vibes in general sitting amongst some of the regulars that obviously enjoy the great food here as well. Definitely recommended. This place deserves to be more well known & supported, it's tucked away inside the Apna Bazaar with no visible signage on the main road, so I can see how people not in the know could pass it by.
