However, they were having a promotion on Stihl products, and I needed a new trimmer... so I asked for sales help. Don, the associate that was helping me, clearly explained the different options. He didn't try to upsell me into something that I wouldn't need. I felt very informed and decided to purchase a new FS 55 trimmer. Before I left the store, he took it to the back and tuned it up, brought it out front and showed me how to use everything, and threw in some saftey gear to keep me protected while I work. When I go back to the store, I'll be sure to ask for Don. By the way, I'm not sure why, but they were offering free hot dogs, wings, and pizza the day I was there.

The last time I took in my lawnmower for a tuneup it came back with a loose wheel nut/bolt. The wheel fell off shortly after I was cutting my grass for the first time after picking it up. They also offered and charged me for a non-stick coating for my mower deck. On pick up, the deck was the exact same as when I took it in, with no coating. New generation of owners and repair staff. No longer a good place to take your lawnmower. Unfortunately, I must admit that I don't trust them anymore for quality or ethical work and will never recommend them. I actually now advise people to avoid them.

They identified a faulty spark plug and replaced it for $9 in addition to charging me a $50 Spring maintenance fee (they did sharpen the blade). Took it home and it did not start. Took it back. Evidently, they made some adjustments which they did not tell me about - they adjusted the throttle on the mower handle along with the pull cord. The pull cord was very loose, but they told that was okay. It was not loose when I took it in. Brought mower home again and used it twice. Both times it barely started. The third time, the pull cord came completely out. The person with "special fingers" as he called himself, has successfully ruined my lawnmower.

We are a black American couple who was interested in purchasing some heavy duty equipment. But by the looks of it, based on reading previous comments these people might not even be racist. They are just idiotic, incompetent, and negligent. My wife and I walked a portion in 30-35 degree weather, we went inside the sales center, everyone looked up and even made eye contact, however no one greeted us inside or outside. As we continued to walk through the store and figured someone would introduce themselves like most dealerships do, they continued to screw around with other things. Needless to say, no one should be buying from this place, whether you're Black American or White American, these people are as useless as a pocket on a t-shirt. And the pocket is more useful than them. We drove 45 minutes out of the way and passed several other dealerships just to come here. The wife called off work and I cancelled other ventures just to be let down. If Kubota lets these people advertise for them, they will continue to have low sales. I don't care if you sale 1 $80,000.00 tractor every quarter in a half, think about selling dozens every quarter.

He said he would do a "tune up" and the cost would be $140. When I picked it up, he had run drywall screw into the top of the air filter housing to stop the choke from closing all the way. (To compensate for a dirty carb that he did not address). So for $140, I got a new spark plug, he did not even change the air filter because I had recently done that, and he sharpened the blade. I used the mower a couple of times and it was still surging and down on power. I called him back and his reply was it was outside the 30 day warranty. I took it to Southside Hardware on 6401 Hampton 314-351-0204 and explained my situation to Steve. He stated he would remove the carb and thoroughly clean it, which is the root cause of the surge.

He was very polite and respectful while in my home, even wearing protective shoe covers. He arrived at 8:00am as scheduled and spent 2 hours completing a "Home Diagnostic Inspection" which included examining all my hot water heaters and ALL plumbing fixtures throughout my home which I was not expecting. He then presented me with a service plan at $60 per month for a maintenance plan which gave me a discount on future services (10%) and a 50% discount on the service call fee of $119.00. He also gave me a bid on replacement cost for several faucets which I felt was a little bit higher than I was willing to pay. He said I could buy my own parts but the installation charge would be higher. I told him "Thank you but no thank you". He gave me a bid for the removal and installation of the 'Insinkerator' instant hot water dispenser that I had already purchased. The bid was extremely higher than I ever expected! But, the technician was here and I wanted it done, however I only elected to have ONE faucet replaced which made the price go up! Long story short, I was charged $815.36 for the installation which took One Hour and Fifteen minutes (I provided the part). In addition to this, I was charged $119.00 for the service call fee! I paid a total of $934.36 and 2/3 of the time he was here was spent on trying to sell me a service plan for my plumbing, H-Vac system as well as my electrical needs for $60 A MONTH! Then, you get a whopping 10% discount on the service call fee! I calculated that this service call was $12.47 per minute! I contacted the company customer service representative to talk about what I thought was an extremely high charge and all she could offer was that they have to pay for gas, tools and expenses! She also reminded me that I signed and agreed to the bid (she told me this 5 times). I told her I DID agree that that was their bid and I paid it! I did not agree that it was a fair price but I did not want to confront the young technician. I called HER to discuss the issue, to see if she thought that $934.36 for 1 hour and 15 minutes labor was fair. She did! Call this company if you have money to burn but you will get your work done politely.
