This is a follow up review to a prior one I submitted…read more Tomorrow will be a full week that my car has been in the shop being prepared. This morning I called O'Reilly's to see if the factory part that Car-mart told them to order had been delivered to mechanic. I was told that the part that they ordered was a headlight replacement bulb. I called Car-mart immediately and told them what I had been told and questioned what was going on. I was told that there must have been some type of confusion or maybe I talked to the wrong person, that the factory part was to be delivered momentarily to the mechanic shop. An hour or so later I called back to Car-mart and was told that the part received would not work. The mechanic called me about 15 min later and told me that Car-mart, ordered the after- market part AGAIN, the first time was from Autozone. Mechanic had told Car-mart employee upon receiving the first after market part that the part HAD TO BE factory part from Fiat dealership. So why did Car-mart ordered the after market part AGAIN?? I have no clue. This shows once again the incompetence of the staff at this particular Car-mart. I have went "round and round" with several of the employees over the past week. I have called multiple times and asked to speak to general manager. Either she is not at her desk or out to lunch. I have left voice messages as well. Have not received a call back yet. I have NEVER in my life encountered so many problems with ANY business like I have Car-mart. The only employee I have spoken with that is helpful, forthright and honest and that returns my calls is Mishika. I have filed one complaint with the BBB and filing another one in the morning. Warning!!! Warning!!! Buy a car elsewhere!! Trust me, you don't want to go to Car-mart of Gadsden!!!

If I could leave 0 stars for this dealership I would. Where do I start? From start to finish, this…read moredealership has been an absolute nightmare to buy a car from. DO NOT plan on buying a car from this place if you live out of state, unless you want headache after headache. You can call and talk to 5 people and be told they will call you back and guess what? THEY DON'T. Employees at this place are extremely unhelpful and could care less about your time. We bought a vehicle from this dealership on 11/9 and live about 2 hours away from this dealership in GA. 1st issue; Took over 2 hours for them send over the CORRECT contract to our bank so that they could write us a check that morning, so we sat at the bank until after they closed because of this. 2nd problem; We drive 2 hours to the dealership (called to let them know before we left that we were on the way), and the vehicle wasn't even ready. Had to wait for them to fill the vehicle up with gas after we sat there for 2+ more hours to finalize everything. 3rd problem; Paid full price for all weather mats that were literally taken out of another vehicle on the lot, visibly used. At this point my wife and I were ready to go, so I bit the bullet and just cleaned them up myself when we got home. Braiden and Alex both who helped us seemed to have no idea what they were doing the entire time. Braiden was new, so I can understand, but Alex who was "training" him was extremely inefficient in the entire process, who ended up leaving throughout the middle of the process. This now had us sitting there with someone very new (not his fault) and waited 30+ mins at a desk for the finance manager who apparently didn't even know we were waiting after we asked 3 times how much longer this was going to take. 4th problem; We have now had the vehicle for 20 days, and the bank we financed with still hasn't received information, the tag office also say that they haven't received anything. They failed to date our tag for a month out, so we had to get a temporary tag just to be able to drive the vehicle legally. This was after we called and they assured us a new temp tag was being mailed. Jeremy (The General Manager) has seemed to try and be helpful, however good luck having his employees forward any messages for him to call you back, you will have to keep calling and eventually get his direct number for communication. Jason who we spoke to 2 times never relayed our message for Jeremy to call us back ASAP due to the constant issues. STAY AWAY FROM PLACE.

My husband and I were finally going to get our first car together. My husband had done extensive…read moreresearch on different cars and wanted to try Hyundai. We were looking to buy a used car or SUV from 2010s, something fuel efficient, and something with at least 150,000 miles or less. On the day we had chosen to look at cars there was severe weather expected for late that evening so we understood that there might not be a lot of available workers. We were simply just going to survey and look at our options. When we pulled up to the lot, a gentleman came out and was very nice to us. He looked ready to help us and explore what they had available with what we were wanting. However, things took a turn. He handed us off to another gentleman. The second gentleman did not look ready to help us at all and did not look as kind or presentable. He immediately started taking information from us and asking us questions. He had my husband sign documents which did not seem right to me but I had never personally done the process of buying a car. I suppose whatever process he was doing was to match us with a vehicle based on what information we had given him. He said he found a match and went to pull up a vehicle to look at and test drive. This is where things started getting worse. The vehicle he brought us was a 2020 Tucson that smelled like it had been a smokers car (even though he claimed it did not belong to one), way out of our budget, over 150,000 miles, and had a messed up interior. My husband and I test drove without the salesman in the car, and it drove fine. After discussing in the car about our opinions, my husband and I came to the conclusion that this car was just not worth it based price, look, etc. After coming back from the test drive, the salesman seemed occupied with other customers so much so that he didn't seem to be able to help us. Again, we went in that day knowing that there would be a slow down because of the inclement weather but not to the extent where it seemed like he could not manage offering help. This seems rude on our part but if he or anyone was preoccupied with other customers they could have asked us to come back another day where they could give us their full attention/help. The gentleman started acting very sleazy towards us. He didn't even try and make deals with us or show us any other cars just SUVs. He kept claiming that we would find nothing with what we had. He made a very rude comment saying, "We are not a Mom and Pop dealership." We understood that going in but you do not have to be rude. My husband and I got so annoyed that he wanted to just get up and leave. However, as we were leaving the salesman was trying to find us something else. My husband just happened to catch what he was saying to what he assumed was a manager, that we had too many stipulations and that we did not need to be buying a car. My husband and I walked out after that. I was COMPLETELY disheartened as this was my first experience buying a car and it was so awful. I understand that dealerships have been known to be sneaky but this was just absolutely demeaning and low. Do not shop here. We did end up buying a car that day at the dealership next door at Team One Toyota. It was ten times better. No documents needed to be signed upon arrival just identification with a driver's license and they were so sweet and kind. They understood that we were first time buyers and were so excited to have us. They even stayed past the time they were closing to make sure we drove away with the vehicle we wanted to purchase. In the end we did drive away from the dealership with that car and completely content and happy.
