My kitten was limping after roughhousing with our older cats. The people at Morgan were extremely helpful getting us an appointment right away. Once I was here, they come to your car/truck after calling (I spoke with a very friendly Kerri) to notify them. I filled out some new patient paperwork and after a brief wait, Amanda came out to see Kai and get an assessment from me. (We are also having our kitten fixed and shots!) The entire process is really well done. If your beloved pet needs a vet, I recommend Morgan Veternary.

My father-in-law came to visit Coos County for the weekend and brought our old 17-year-old dog. Over the weekend, sweet old man dog took a turn for the worse and we knew that euthanasia was the only option Monday morning. We didn't want to put him through the pain of a long car ride back to California and aren't the type of people who are ok with shooting our family members so we drove to a local vet office. They were slammed so we went to Morgan. I asked twice about the price of euthanasia, was told that a "care plan" was being created for me. Dr. came in, listened to Buddy's heart and asked his age then agreed to euthanize...it was a 90 second encounter. I was asked to step out of the room and take care of the bill while they inserted the catheter to administer the sedative to him and this is what I was given. This is what they charged to humanely discharge a dog. Less than $20 in supplies and I was charged almost $600. Had my father in law been able to return home and euthanize there, the humane society charges $35. The local vet is $125. Beware....they are VERY sneaky....and very willing to take advantage of people.

My 'fat dog that never gets taken out for exercise" even though she had a visit for tick medication.

Everything. They are ridiculously expensive and I had the absolutely worst veterinary experience I have ever had.

After nearly ten years with this veterinary office, I never imagined I'd be treated with such…read morecruelty and disregard for my pets' well-being. The vets themselves have always been kind and competent, which makes this even harder to write -- because the women at the front desk have made it absolutely impossible to continue care here. The last straw was when my husband was in a car accident in our only vehicle. I called, stressed and scared, explaining the situation and asking if there was any possible way to arrange care for my diabetic cat -- my literal fur baby -- since we live an hour away. Instead of even a hint of compassion, the woman at the counter treated me like I was irresponsible and uncaring. She actually told me I "should have better time-management skills," and implied that I wasn't putting my pet first. Meanwhile, this clinic hasn't taken appointments in years, so we were expected to drive an hour and then sit in the car for additional hours waiting to be seen -- something that can put a diabetic cat into shock. What was once an inconvenient but workable system has now become completely unmanageable for anyone who doesn't live directly in Coos Bay. Their policies make it nearly impossible to get timely, humane care for a sick animal -- and instead of acknowledging that, the front desk staff blame the clients. And then, after a decade of loyalty, they sent me a letter saying they will no longer see my pets at all -- cutting off access to the medication my diabetic kitty needs to stay alive. No warning. No conversation. Just a cold letter severing care for the animals they've known for years. It breaks my heart, because the veterinarians themselves are wonderful people. But the front office staff are rude, dismissive, and, frankly, cruel. Their behavior cost my pets their longtime healthcare home. They should be ashamed of how they treat the people who trust them with their animals' lives. Whatever consequences come from behaving this way are well-deserved.

Dr. Dan was very knowledgeable and concerned with my dog's health. When it became apparent that it…read morewas time to let her go, he was able to help her cross the Rainbow Bridge and answer all of my questions without making me feel like I was being a bother. I recommend him to anyone.
