Morgan is an absolutely fantastic voice instructor. I started taking lessons with Morgan a little over a year ago and recently picked it up again now that she has her own studio. Without a doubt she has significantly helped me improve my vocal technique, sound, and confidence. I'm thrilled Morgan started offering virtual lessons over Zoom in these times, which are absolutely comparable to in-person ones. I started taking voice lessons simply because I enjoy singing (mostly for myself) and wanted to learn the basics and get formal instruction having never taken a formal voice lesson before. Morgan was warm and welcoming which made me feel relaxed considering my initial nervousness of having an expert critique my voice for the first time. I love how she runs her lessons - typically a warm up with both new and familiar exercises and then focusing on a song of my choosing to work on. Morgan is the best kind of teacher. I suspect that she can adapt her teaching style to fit her students - but what she does really works for me. She tailors our lessons to me by providing exercises that are slightly outside of my comfort zone and very relevant to the problem I'm focused on. She also provides various visualization techniques that really work, and she backs these up with technical explanations whenever asked. Singing outside of your comfort zone can be pretty vulnerable and Morgan is empathetic and supportive. I thought it would be weird, but vocal lessons over Zoom work just fine. I did my diligence and met with about a half a dozen vocal teachers before selecting Morgan for regular lessons. I used to teach guitar and have strong opinions about what good teaching is - Morgan is the real deal. read more

I'm an adult beginner who decided pretty much on a whim during quarantine to start singing lessons - figuring either my spouse or my neighbors would be grateful. I'm so glad I did and I'm so glad I found Morgan! Singing in front of someone can be so embarrassing (hello voice cracks, and being out of your comfort zone) but Morgan is super encouraging. Her wealth of experience means that every lesson I take away something new to work with. Each lesson begins with warming up the voice. We go over different exercises to work on different things eg expanding my range, working on my belt, breathing (lots of exercises to help with breathing!). Then we work on a song of my choosing. We break it down, I practice and she gives me feedback. I ask questions about any parts I'm struggling with. We alternate between her playing an accompaniment on the piano or my playing a track on YouTube. It works out even though it's remote! She's got such a good ear. Besides in-lesson feedback and encouragement, something also super useful about Morgan's lessons is how she records the practices we do at the beginning of the lesson for me to play and practice in my own time over the week. I've been having lessons for a couple of months now over zoom and already my friends and family can hear the difference. I can't recommend highly enough! read more
