More pros than cons, but it doesn't hit 5 stars.
Pros:
- It's a cute, cozy space, in the basement through a nondescript door near Old Street.
- The mats are doubled, so you have plenty of padding for headstands.
- My favorite instructor in London, Helen Russell-Clark, teaches here. She's awesome. And the only other instructor I've had here was good, too, and teacher quality is about 90% of the value of a studio for me.
- It's inexpensive - the 8-pack I just bought makes each class almost 40% cheaper than at my other usual studio.
Cons:
- It's not the easiest to spot. Have the address with you or you might not see the door.
- The ceilings are low - I'm only moderately tall and I can flat-palm the ceiling with arms outstretched.
- The mirrors are a little weird - one is cracked, and they aren't quite square to the space. This gives you multiple angles, but not one that's head on, which I'm used to for aligning my Warrior 2 and such.
Also, one that's kind of pro and con is that you have to book online; there's no desk or any other place to check in if you just show up. But the space is small enough that it's a good thing that you have to sign up in advance, otherwise you might find yourself without a mat! read more
