Calling EVERYBODY who wants to feel fantastic and work out in a fun way. BlueCowYoga is a good place to start! Offering tonnes of Yoga, Pilates, workshops and treatments, this is the very "first dedicated yoga studio in the city of London".
Cast aside any preconceived prerequisites people often carry around about doing yoga, because they most definitely don't exist here. The crew at BlueCowYoga insist that yoga is for EVERYONE (just as it really is:). They focus on making it the most accessible to all you peeps who have superbusy lifestyles. In true yogic fashion, the studio focuses on adapting as it needs! to cater for your needs!
Kitted out with a groovy reception area and studios, showers that are sprinkly good with shampoo and conditioner to boot, this yoga studio will look after you. Why? Well it's open 7 days a week and offers at least one class an hour from 12-7pm during the weekdays, with a selection of classes that most certainly could not to be sniffed at!
Spoilt for choice, you can sample all sorts of yoga flow classes from Dynamic flow to working on Alignment. Groove and move in Yoga basics, Pilates, Ashtanga, Jivamukti, Core yoga or Anusara-inspired yoga and that's just naming a few of the classes available at the mighty BlueCow!
If the names of these classes are double dutch to you, well that's just all the more reason to come and try. It will no doubt translate into something wonderful for you and your body!
And for those afflicted with that unusual disposition of rising early in the morning, there are classes from 7am. If you enjoy starting the day with a fire in your belly and imitating Darth Vader ! i.e.practising Ujjayii breathing, well you can join the Mysore self- practice class which is Ashtanga yoga at it's purest. If you are looking to chill and cruise through the rest of the day, you could try early morning Core yoga class which works towards bringing calmness and stillness in the body.
BlueCowYoga puts on some cool workshops too!, Coming up is an Anusara Inspired one and a yoga workshop based on Somatics by Tanya Fitzpatrick. Only a short time back, I was at one of Tanya's workshops. Somatics are simple movements based on steadfast principles that anyone can do. I learnt some valuable movements that can be applied to a yoga practice or just daily life. These gentle movements allow you to reprogram and train your body to release tension from it. Comes in kinda handy!
No fuss and no frills at the BlueCow, as they say a visit to the studio won't have you "overdosing on smells and bells". But you do have an opportunity central to the city in London to revitalise, rejuvenate and frankly feel good ! (or even better;)
