Misleading, unfair and possibly fraudulent…read more Do NOT trust 1Rebel. My experience as a 19-year-old student was a nightmare - and I want to warn others before they lose hundreds like I did. - In November 2024, I joined 1Rebel after being told I could buy 10 sessions for £144 - with no mention of a long-term contract. I followed the instructions and paid. I attended 6 sessions and that should have been the end of it. - In March 2025, I bought a further 10 sessions for £220. Then, without any authorisation, 1Rebel charged that card £144 four times - a total of £720 in just two days - for a '12-month contract' that I was never told about, that I never agreed to and that I never signed. - When I complained in person I was told I was supposedly entering into a 12 month contract - something I never saw, signed or agreed to. We were never notified in advance of the recurring charges and they charged a completely different card to the one used for the original purchase. What is happening now? It has been almost 4 months and I still have not received my money back. There has been 1 phone call and 12 emails between me and 1Rebel and still no resolution. No refund and no compensation. All my complaints against 1Rebel have been either ignored or misrepresented: - I claimed it was against the Consumer Rights Act to make bulk transactions if the transactions were to be made monthly - 1Rebel said it was probably because my card was not working during those months (my card was working, it is the only card I use in my day to day life) - I claimed that when I purchased what I didn't know was a membership there was no warning about the cancellation policy and refund policy. - 1Rebel sent me screenshots claiming there were warnings about the policy, I went on my phone, my laptop, through the website and the app to check if this was true and it was not, STILL there were no warnings. - I was told I shouldn't have any questions as it was all in the T&Cs. - The only time I saw these T&Cs was when I created a 1Rebel account... in 2023!!!!!!! If you are forcing people to sign a contract for 12 months you should at least have some warning that it is a trap and you can't cancel until the contract is fulfilled. I am still trying to fight for justice and my rights... Avoid 1Rebel at all costs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They trap customers in hidden contracts, charge unauthorised fees, and ignore your rights. There are much better, more ethical fitness providers in London. I have heard a lot of similar cases lately and am now collecting them to prepare a class action lawsuit and complaint to the consumer protection regulators. If you have encountered such violations, write to me at 1rebelfraud@gmail.com and together we will retain our rights and demand compensation

I've done quite a few workout classes in my life and 1Rebel was among my least favorites, at least…read morethe class I tried. I thought the place itself, while it clearly was trying to be like "chic grungy" came across as just not that nice - I would have liked nicer/posher amenities for the price. The one nice touch were the chilled towels, but everything else came across as very like, rustic? I hated the treadmills - I found the belt to be very hard to run on, and the speeds changed too rapidly so I found myself almost tripping. The screens weren't super sensitive so I had to press buttons multiple times to get it to change speeds. The floor section was fine, but I was hoping for more core. The instructor was great and I liked how the workout was described to us very clearly and definitely planned ahead of time - he was great and I have no complaints about the class layout. Overall not my favorite class, but I would maybe come back to try one of their other concepts.

From the very first time I walked through the door they treated me like I was part of their local OTF family. Szilvia was the first person to greet me, and it was a fantastic first impression! She is high-energy and made me pumped just talking to her. She took me on a tour around the studio and made sure every question I had was answered to my satisfaction. She is a real asset to OTF Aldgate, and her Instagram skills are second to none! The manager of the studio is Julie, and she keeps the place running like a well-oiled machine. She is a hands-on manager, and you will often see her at the front desk and mingling among clients. She represents the studio and the orangetheory brand well! Marius and Meite are fabulous instructors, and both will motivate you to achieve personal goals you don't think you can achieve on your own. I consider them both friends and greatly appreciate the effort they have put into helping me achieve my personal fitness goals. For those not familiar with orangetheory, it is a 5-zone heartrate interval training regimen that is truly the finest workout I've ever done. The changes in my physical appearance, athletic performance and overall health are beyond amazing! There are not enough superlatives to describe what orangetheory has done for my health and appearance. They offer a free workout, so there is nothing to lose if you don't like it. But, if you are like every other friend I have convinced to go, you will quickly become the addict to the workout that I am! An hour investment of your day gives you so much in return.

Oh hey there, new location of my favourite fitness spot!…read more It's a bit odd that this 1Rebel is only a few blocks away from the other one in the City, but I live and work nearby so I'm not complaining. If you've been to the St Mary's Axe location, you'll know what to expect: classes and instructors that kick your ass, a gym shower that may be nicer than the one in your own home, plus lots of other bells and whistles like 3 different temperates of towels, lunchtime protein shakes, and non-lame music. This particular location offers Reshape (HIIT between treadmills and weights) and Rumble (get your wraps and gloves on and work your aggression out on the punching bag), but no Ride. If you want to feel some serious pain, I recommend Rounds, which is a Reshape plus Rumble hybrid: run with your wraps on and feel like a badass. I feel so good after a class here, I don't even feel bad about how much it cost.

The Boxing style class is almost like working out in a club. You go in and everyone has their own bag, the instructor is in the middle and the lights are low and there are strobe like lights, then all of a sudden you hear LETS GET READY TO RUMBLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, and youre off! The instructor goes through the class in different boxing techniques as well as hiit exercises. You go from uppercuts to mountain climbers and burpees. It is not easy, but the instructors are super encouraging, and you just keep going. I never thought I had anger management issues, but man does it feel good to smack that bag! Overall it is an entire body workout and expect to feel it the next day. Besides the amazing workout they have the most gorgeous bathrooms and changing facilities. Super clean as well as stocked with great bath products, straighteners, hair dryers, lotions and potions. You pretty much only need to bring makeup and a change of clothes before work which makes it a much lighter gym back. I have not, but there is the option to pre order a protein shake following the workout. If you want to get your Mike Tyson on in a luxurious gym, this is it.

The class is very small but it allows for individual attention from the teacher. I consider myself to be in decent shape but there were some things in this class I could barely do!
