It's been five years since my wedding was canceled due to COVID. Like so many others at the time, I was facing financial uncertainty, but I initially understood why this business chose not to refund my deposit. We were all trying to stay afloat. What I don't understand is why--after all this time--not one person has reached out to me. My calls have gone unanswered. At this point, it's clear they've chosen to keep my money and hope I just go away. Well, they almost got away with it--but I won't stay silent. The least I can do is share my experience so others can make informed decisions. Times are tough again, and now more than ever, people deserve to work with empathetic, customer-focused companies. Out of all the vendors I worked with--some much smaller businesses, and even The Mission Inn in Riverside--every single one handled things with empathy and integrity. This company did the opposite. I never had a wedding due to COVID. That ship sailed years ago. Suggesting I use the deposit for another event is completely unrealistic. I'm not an event planner--what would I even need rentals for now? If the business chooses to respond here with a long, defensive comment instead of simply doing the right thing, don't be fooled. A polished reply from behind a keyboard doesn't change the fact that they've ignored me for five years. This experience has been deeply disappointing. While our venue already came with tables and chairs, we utilized More Rentals to elevate the space with a rented bar, sweetheart table, arch for behind our sweetheart table, cake table, lounge and escort card display case. They were extremely easy to work with and had very reasonable prices for the items being rented. Renting with them was seamless and their inventory and pricing is easily visible on their website. After our initial order, we decided on additional rental pieces we wanted to add and they were incredibly quick in adjusting our order and adding on the available pieces. Back in November 2019 my best friend asked me to marry him. Then in January 2020 we started planning our wedding. Then in March, well... you know... We had to put planning on hold because our wedding was always planned for August. We waited, come June we start planning our big day again! Come July, back on hold Come late July we are determined this will happen! We won't back down! We had a small wedding anyway (35-ish people) and about three weeks before we were to be married our venue changed due to the "no indoor religious services" rule in Cali. The first vendor I was speaking with about renting a Chuppah in July just dropped off the face of the earth. Stopped answering emails and didn't pick up the phone. Second vendor could not give me an appropriate quote once I had to move the venue (charged more because no client relationship, and kept quoting me for chairs I no longer needed) then handed me off to her assistant who also couldn't get my quote together. All I needed was a simple Chuppah, and since my (now) husband is Jewish it was pretty important. Enter Emily! Lucky number three! She responded to my emails and calls quickly. Less than two weeks before my weddingI was freaking out, but she had this lovely wooden Chuppah available, on which I was able to hang some of my and my hubby's race medals, a pair of running shoes, and our blasters for cosplay. The Chuppah represents the home you and your spouse are going to create, and in this case it was perfect because it was sturdy, simple, and looked great. We were able to personalize it, and Emily made sure it was dropped off and picked up with plenty of time for us to decorate. She and the coordinator for the hotel we had our ceremony at handled everything, and I had nothing to worry about on the most important day of my life. When I tried to work with them to get any compensation they told us that if we sue them, they are lawyers and won't give us our money. They used COVID as an excuse not to do the right thing. Then they told me they'd give us a small gift and that never happened. They are not good people. They are not a good business. They do not take responsibility for their mistakes. When we tried to contact them afterward they always had an excuse and didn't want to take responsibility. We had a huge order for over $3k and they treated us like we were nothing. I recently tried to follow up and even still I am being ignored. We had an initial meet up at their warehouse and they literally had EVERY thing you could imagine for a wedding. Their warehouse looked exactly like my Wedding Pinterest board. The pricing of the items were very fair and were sent to me detailed out line item by line item and were easy to make changes as the time got closer. Farm Tables & More also custom built the arch for my ceremony from an image I sent them that turned out perfectly. My wedding coordinator suggested I check out Farm Tables & More for some ideas on seating and on the beach setup. Even though I didn't have an appointment, I was welcomed and given a quick tour of their facility, with information on how they make their pieces and what options were available. They provided me their pricing and I went home to think over what we wanted to do. We ended up renting benches for on the beach for seating, Megan's arch for the beach ceremony, a couple of belly bar tables for the cocktail hour, and a table with 2 chairs for the bride and groom table. The pieces worked perfectly with our setup! Everything from the selection, payment, delivery, and pick up were a smooth and seamless process. Farm Tables was amazing! The furniture they rent is solid and in beautiful condition. The guys who delivered it were friendly and punctual and offered to move it around the venue as much as I wanted in order to get it right. Some advice - The warehouse, at least at the time I went there, is just that. The furniture was stacked up in a giant space and not displayed in a mock setting. This made it hard for me to envision the end goal. Although the measurements are clearly given for each piece, I am more of a visual person and it would have helped to see the pieces laid out. But also came and did a second walkthrough as we decided to change things up. We really wanted a wooden cross as our altar but they didn't have one to rent so they built one for us custom!
