The initial issue was the quality, the primary issue became the utterly psychotic owner.
We ordered the same two pizzas that we've been ordering for 8 years now and when one of them turned up squashed into the corner of the box (meaning 3/4 of the box was empty) we ran after the driver to let him know. We were asked to call the store due to the driver being terrified of the owner.
After being on hold for ten minutes and repeating our address several times (I speak quite clearly by the way) I was greeted with "yes?"... Really?
I explained the situation at which he launched into an irrational tirade for quite some time culminating in "I've only got your word about what it looks like so why should I make another one?". I explained that the driver is still here and I'm more than happy to send the offending pizza back... Long pause followed by another tirade.
After the pizza was returned to the shop he called us. Firstly it was apparently our fault for ordering what we ordered (a standard pizza that they've gotten right every other time) and that we were just determined to be unhappy and that it was fine.
After I told him that was an unacceptable response, he called me an asshole and told me that if I really insisted that he'd make a new one and bring it himself with the original pizza.
45 minutes later the replacement arrived delivered by... Not him. The gutless worm of a man had sent Sue instead (she's a lovely lady and she works her butt off making people's pizzas. Say "hello" if you see her on the line) who apologised profusely and produced a perfect pizza as a replacement and then the original order too... It looked nothing like the awful mess that first arrived. It had been redone.
He called one last time to say that he was right the entire time. Unbelievable.
This man is due for retirement. We will never be back and nor will anyone we know.
Good luck you textbook bully. It's been a real treat. read more
