They always seem busy but can manage to fit you in if you are really stuck! They do not carry out MOTs on site but will do pre MOT checks and then take it to a testing centre for you.

UPDATED…read more I have just increased my assessment from 4 stars to 5 stars. Had my car in for service and pre-MOT inspection. Found quite a few things (which I expected) and fixed them all for a very reasonable cost of £186 all in (which I didn't expect!)- including the service! - £90 labour & remainder parts. This included wipers, replacing CV boot, replacing corroded brake pipe (which had been noted as an advisory at last MOT), freeing a brake component. I've paid more than that for the CV boot alone at other garages! I paid for time genuinely spent and parts used, not some 'looked up' cost/time value and parts retail mark up. This is one of the most honest garages I have ever dealt with. No hard sell, schmooze or bamboozling. Just honest advice. This guy more than deserves his living! I explained that we'd have to know before that so keep the morning appointment, and was told to call back the day before - all to see IF they could be available. No guarantees. Ross's towing towed both our car the other car in the accident and these people could not have been kinder or more helpful. When the taxi that was supposed to pick us up when our car was towed didn't show up, Ross's sent a car and took us to their offices. I don't hang around garages often, but the waiting room was very clean and the ladies at the desk looked up information to help us reschedule our flights and offered us drinks while we were waiting to figure things out. Thank you for making an awful situation much better and just being great people.

The verdict is still out amongst locals as to how trustworthy, quality, and reasonably priced they are - or not, but so far they were recommended by one local person and I recommended them to someone else local, mainly because they are conveniently located to the Findhorn EcoVillage Park. They also were nice enough to give me a ride back to the park and a pick-up to get my vehicle... something they can't always do of course.

Unlike motorcycle garages, & to a far lesser degree, motorcar garages, a rapid turnaround…read more Whilst unfathomable, I was advised a front break disc needed replacing? which necessitated the other (being on the same axle) disc associated break pads about which I had no issues with But however, whilst the rear shock may also have needed replacing I was dismayed when advised they wouldn't fit a used shock absorber I should have acquired...(not a great deal of point fitting brand new on a 12 yr old vehicle)? Nor that they didn't as they maybe could have & should have requested explained why, no return all to inspect as I should have liked to have left them where they belong...at the Civic Halls for the clueless & useless, deaf & dumb, Road Inspector, Yvonne LOW & Insurer, Colin McKENZIE to examine. Not least of which given I have hither too, never had to replace as such in 4 decades of riding & driving as I, no doubt should not have to were it not for the deplorable state of the roads, do same with motorcycle too Given the cars front headlight lens covers had, hither to, been in a very much far worse state, passed its annual MoT this past decade I was dismayed they had failed them Notably given I had recently hither to spent a considerable amount of time restoring, where upon, prior to my neighbours drill (with polish on buffer) failing, were 95% better If anything should have failed it should have been the hand break & maybe also exhaust system?
