Dr. Mora used to be my dentist more than 2 years ago when I used to live in the area, and I LOVED him. He made me feel comfortable about going to the dentist though I always got freaked out. Then, after moving to Florida, I had a REALLY tough time finding a dentist that seemed to care about, and was sensitive to, my "craziness". I think (after living there for over 2 years) I found a dentist that lives up to the expectation. Last week, however, we drove home to visit family in PA, and I had an "incident" with a tooth that I was scheduled to get worked on in 3 weeks. It was bad, and when I say bad, I mean BAD! I called Dr Mora last Friday at 2:45 (mind you, they close at 1:00 on Fridays) and he answered! I explained the situation and told him the pain I was in, and he said he would wait for me! WHAT?! I told him I'd be there ASAP. I got there around 3:15, and I just knew it was bad before I got there; however, that didn't deter him ... he informed me I needed a root canal (lol, wasn't a shocker to me, I actually thought I would have to have it pulled because it was a bad tooth to begin with), and he'd stay to do it. Let's just say it was much worse than I thought, and it was infected beyond words. The pressure that was built up was unbelievable. He started the procedure and quite honestly, I almost fell asleep during the procedure because he relieved the pressure and was relieving the problem while being so gentle. It was crazy ... he is so gentle, and I was SO APPRECIATIVE. I was on vacation visiting family, so I can't even begin to explain how grateful I was because my week vacation could have been REAL ugly. Needless to say, I left his office after 5:30 (remember, they closed at 1:00), and I felt like a new person. He gave me an rx for the infection, and scheduled an appointment for me to come back today (Monday) to finish everything up. The craziest part, if it can get any crazier, is that my out-of-pocket expenses were so much less than it would have been with my dentist back home, and it really saved my vacation. I was in pain beyond words, couldn't eat, talk, (or even) breathe and was just about to grab a wrench and pull that darn tooth out myself. It was truly terrible. Please...if you are looking for dentist that truly cares and looks out for your best interest, give Dr.Mora a try. You WILL NOT be disappointed; I guarantee it. I've already told him how grateful I am, but words can't even explain. I wish I could extend my vacation back home (here in PA) just so I could get the other dental work done with him that I need to get done. In closing, as if things couldn't even get better, as I'm leaving, he took an X-ray (no extra charge) and pulled documents for me to present to my current dentist so he could have it in my file. Wow. Just sayin...this is what he did for me, and I'm not even a current patient! Just imagine what he'd do for you if you WERE his current/existing patient. Thank you, Dr. Mora!! You truly made my vacation memorable. Who knew I would ever say a dentist did that! You made a terrible situation all better. Again, THANK YOU!! read more
