Delicious ice cream, friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. Kids enjoyed the game room and a game of checkers. We will be back!

I found Inky's back when they were in the shopping center on Calhoun Mem Hwy. I'm from the Philly…read morearea and when I saw them prepping the sandwiches I knew I was home! Their Cheesesteaks are superb either way; "Wid or wideout". Now, if they could just get Frank's soda (black cherry .... Mmmmmm). I tried their hoagie one time and I wasn't super crazy about it. Could've been an off day. One problem with parking at their place in the Silos, it is very limited and neighboring shops are not too friendly to non customers using their parking.

Inky's Philly Cheesesteak in Easley, SC, delivers a fantastic take on a regional favorite…read more Located at the base of The Silos--where several food trucks ply their specialties--Inky's stands out as a spacious, comfortable spot with large booths that invite you to settle in... and maybe stay a while. High ceiling, lots of wood paneling, very vintage while still feeling up to date. The menu includes burgers, deli-style hoagies, and salads, but let's be honest: the cheesesteak is why you showed up--and it's good enough to keep you coming back. There's some real history behind the name. Albert "Inky" Harris ran the first cheesesteak and hoagie shop in Philadelphia back in the 1940s, and the current grandchildren owners carry that legacy forward. Whether every detail has been perfectly preserved or lovingly remembered, one thing is certain: they source their white American cheese from Philly, and the result feels authentic. And that makes all the difference. The fresh-baked Liscio's rolls are huge--soft and warm on the inside, with a firm, crusty on the outside. Like me... on a good day. Inside, finely chopped steak, peppers, onions, and that perfectly melted white American cheese are blended together, so every bite delivers a balanced, satisfying hit of flavor. No "all onions in one bite, no meat in the next" surprises--just consistent harmony. And the star of the show? Certified Angus ribeye. No shortcuts. No skimping. No regrets. Sandwiches come in 7", 12", or the "I wish I was still in college" 18" option--because sometimes restraint is overrated. My wife and I split the Colossal. The meals are served on trendy paper-toppped metsl trays. The staff and management go out of their way to make you feel welcome and walk you through all the options. Sides round out the experience with plenty of choices: fries, tater tots, onion rings, pasta salad, fried mushrooms (hello, childhood), and a standout option--house-made chips, sliced and fried fresh and disappearing faster than your willpower. Bottom line: If you're craving a true Philly-style cheesesteak without leaving the Upstate, Inky's is absolutely worth the stop. Just don't plan on eating light... or sharing. Walking in, there was a sign saying they had horchata, a milky cinnamon rice drink. I've never had it before but I'm now a fan. I loved it! They had several vegetarian options and I picked one that included an enchilada and chalupa with beans. The ingredients were all fresh and good. The best part for me was that the wraps were made of corn. (I am gluten free) Hubby always gets polo asado. He was thrilled that there were lots of grilled onions and the spices were right. The service was friendly and our waiter kept checking on us. The atmosphere was old (in an old shopping center) but it was kept clean. I don't usually review Mexican restaurants as they tend to all be 3-4 stars, and my expectations aren't too high, but there was enough pleasant surprises here to warrant a 5 star. I suspect this might become a regular habit after our hikes!

They were pretty polite to everyone else who was there with me, but they seemed almost angry that I speak and understand their language ‍). For most people, I guess it's fine. I don't prefer the rudeness but the food was good.
