My reason for only a three star is that I purchased two things. A blouse (I didn't try on) and a purse. My purchase came to over $50. I get home to find that the elastic is gone in one of the sleeves of the blouse and one zipper of the purse is broken. Neither item is usable. I recognize it's my own fault for not having tried on the blouse and not checking that all the zippers worked in the purse. I do think however, that at such a high-end consignment store that these things should have been checked before putting items out for customers to purchase. I am $50 out with nothing to show for it at all. This experience will affect my future shopping at this store.

Most of the sales staff are very friendly and helpful but there is one guy who acts like a used car sales man. He constantly tries to push me to buy things I don't want and has a fake kind of friendliness. Their prices are much higher than what I normally pay at boutiques in the United States. I asked them why their prices are so much higher despite the current exchange rate and he got annoyed. He arrogantly denied that his prices were higher than the US and said that all Hugo Boss boutiques are required to have the exact same prices world-wide. I told him I could prove otherwise with receipts that I have from the US and various approved websites. He was quick to interrupt me and then say that he has been all around the world and that Canada has cheaper prices on Hugo Boss than most other places. For example, he said in Europe, they are far more expensive. I agree that the prices can be higher in Europe BUT he had just said a few minutes prior that all Hugo Boss boutiques are required to have the same prices world-wide...lol. On 2 different occasions, I asked them to order me something from the official Hugo Boss website. They told me that they don't do custom orders and only have what is in the store. LAZY! Lately, I have been going to the US and buying a years worth of clothing all at once. With the money I save, the trip always pays for itself.

I contacted them, they came back, ducted taped the underlay and reinstalled a 'better' carpet which is likely the crap they couldn't sell and added waves, lines, duct tape humps, cuts in the corner that were too long and a fat big dark stripe down the middle of my room. I paid thousands for this junk. Aside from the creepy men who came in to my home hitting on me making rude comments. I have contacted them, with no solution for months and their customers solutions threatens me schedules to destroy my home and rip out the carpet without any talking. I had been there previously and it had taken a full hour to finally get a bra that fitted well enough. This is my first visit to Fashion Foundation, . It took 5 MINUTES to get the perfect bra from 'Caroline' ? She waited outside until I was ready even though I wouldn't have minded her coming in. Kind of stupid pricing for Made in China items, don't you think? It's pricey so I don't get the huge lulu following. I can get cheaper yoga wear in the mall in Kelowna and those yoga pants look great after MANY washings. Not so lulu. I'm thinking that the lulu quality has gone waaay down! I'm not the only person I know who has noticed the new pilling on the fabric they use or faulty sewing or a slouchy look (losing shape)in the clothing after only a few washes. Sewn in China quality is showing.
