Worst dentist ever. He will talk you into procedures you do not need, cause more harm than good. He…read moretraumatized my teeth with brutal braces, I lost 2 teeth, he talked me out of a perfectly good gold bridge that I loved, them put in an ill fitting bridge that catches all the food and is a maintenance nightmare and the bite is completely off. My new dentist was shocked. His bonding never held up, and he never warned me about the drawbacks. On and on. So much money, so much damages.

There is a new dentist that (apparently) bought the practice from Dr. Fratto. He seems like a very…read morenice person. I had an appointment with him yesterday at 2:00 p.m., after taking my blood pressure (which was high) he decided not to perform any treatment. He wanted me to come back next Monday apparently he thought my blood pressure would somehow come down to within "normal limits" by that time. I told him that I had high blood pressure and was on a new medication to no avail. I came home and called Delta Dental and enquired if they would cover dentistry done out of the country and to my surprise they said that they would reimburse me for services rendered outside of the U.S. As I'm going to Thailand soon I'll have the dental work done in Thailand for less than 50% of the cost here in California. It turns out that the dentist (who is from India) did me a great favor by not doing any work on my teeth because of my elevated blood pressure. I noticed that the dentist seemed more interested is exerting some sort of control over my time than he was in doing dentistry. I suppose that it's possible that he thinks the caste system in India exists here in America. My advice to anyone needing dental work is to go to Mexico or Thailand and have your dental work done, Delta dental will reimburse you and you'll pay less than 50% of the cost here in California. The cost for my treatment here in Cambria would have been $2,475.00 in Thailand it will be less than half of that and the dentists in Thailand are well educated and professional. There is no caste system in Thailand. The cost savings will pay for my airfare.

Great dentist, wonderful staff and easy appointments. My only small gripe is that they really need…read moreto get some kind of entertainment for the patients. I know he's old school and probably thinks it's ridiculous, but many dentists now either provide DVD's to watch or TV or some kind of headphones w/music. I will still go to him regardless because he's awesome and all, but if you're looking for modern day patient perks, they are not going to be here. Very Los Osos. Not very Los Angeles. Oh - one more thing - I'm totally an anti-dentite as Seinfeld put it. Dentist visits scare the crap out of me. But he was very kind and patient even after my panic attack on my first visit (no joke) so if you're a scaredy-cat like me, look no further. Nothing but love here, even if you're sobbing like a four year old.

I first went to Dr Loveridgge a year ago because a crown had come off. After looking the crown and…read moremy the part of the leftover tooth nub that the crown fits over he told me a couple of options. One was that he just cement it back in place. He explained to me that this would only be a temporary fix because the nub was so short that the crown would just keep coming off. Then he advised me what needed to happen to make the crown better able to attach to the nub was to make the nub longer by retracting the gum line. He gave me the name of another dentist to do this specialized work. After the proceedure I went back to Dr Loveridge and he continued with the new crown. To me this is what a professional does. Explains options. The ones that are the cheapest although temporary and then explains the more time consuming but better, more permanent fix. I appreciate all his professionalism
