The lodge is nice. Smaller than expected but very functional. Meals where good, but it seemed like the clean up was up to us. Bob was a excellent guide and really makes the place work. Tony, well that's something I think needs to be addressed. Never showed to guide us, sick ? Apparently lost his phone too. Bob picked up the ball and we had a great time, probably worked out better for us . Real asset to the business Art Powell. read more

My son Brian Jr and I just returned from a week long white tail deer hunt the 2nd week of Pa rifle season and We had a great experience. The guides truly worked to make this trip a success and the home cooked meals and attention given to us by the staff was top notch. We plan to return '24 or '25 to experience Moon Shiners again. read more

The lodge is roomy, and the honeymoon suite was good. Meals were excellent, given my food demands (Carnivore), and wild game, were met. Staff was excellent and very very helpful in the pursuit of our game. Anthony was helpful and patient. Yes, we already booked for the fall! read more

I wanted to share our experience from the recent Memorial Day weekend. Everything started off on a very good note - we called at the last minute and were thrilled to get the opportunity to go hunting. Yay! We went, made one shot, and got the wild boar, all thanks to Anthony and Tim's fantastic assistance. Their help was invaluable, and we were truly grateful for their support. However, upon returning to the lodge, we unfortunately discovered that our little poodle had managed to escape from the crate and caused some damage to the carpet close to the bedroom door. Feeling bad about the incident, we reported it right away. Anthony was incredibly understanding and help us address the situation. We were so appreciative of his kindness that we left extra tips to express our gratitude. A week later, we were taken aback by an angry text message from Lou. He accused us of causing significant damage to the bedroom carpeting and the lodge backdoor, claiming to have security camera footage as proof. He even threatened to take legal action against us. This was quite shocking, especially considering we paid $150 each, totaling $300 for the one-night stay, and were left alone the entire time without any additional services like cooking. read more
