Ok. I gave it a 5 star and this review, but you really shouldn't go there…read more Here why. It's my secrete fishing spot!!!! I loved this place. my friend introduced me to this place few years back and you are grantee to catch insane amount of fish. Best time to go is spring and late fall. But summer is ok if it has good water level. In average I catch about 10+ big mouth bass 2-3 lbs minimal, tones of pickerels, monster pan fish (I mean monster size).... I always stop counting after my first doz fish. Owner jack and his son are great people. You can even stay overnight in one of their cabins or trailer. Two years ago, I rented a house 5 min away for a week and went fishing every day at jack's place. I had to stop fishing in the end due to fishing elbow... LOL. I highly recommend this place for everyone. I love this place so much I bought a small boat just to go fishing here. I cant say enough good things about this place. A++++++++ apparently there is a 8 lbs bass in this water somewhere i am looking for that one every year... did i mention it also has channel cats...

It's a ripoff ! $ 30 to fish the lake , $30 for the rowboat…read more,$ 30 electric motor. If I'm renting your boat why should I have to pay $30 just fish ? Don't get me wrong I understand times are hard , and what makes it so bad you're not guaranteed to catch any fish . Don't get me wrong very nice people , will I go back there again , I don't think so . If you do go , bring extra cash with you , this lake is all about the money .

We had a very busy day on the day that we took this boat tour. Early morning we had a mini-hike and…read morevisited a falls in the area and then we had an exciting adventure at a well known resort, so this is a great way to end our day, a relaxing, calming pontoon boat tour at this lake. We had reservations for this tour and made sure that we took their "sunset tour". Price was fair, they have a big parking lot around their office. We were fortunate enough to have Captain Mike as our tour guide. He was very informative and knowledgeable about the history of this lake, where I found out that this humongous lake is man-made. Taking this tour after a very busy, adventurous and celebratory day was well worth it. If you happen to be in the area, I recommend that you try it.

We arrived early prior our schedule and we were told by the associate to be in the dock 10 minutes prior boarding. It has a porta potty by the huge parking lot and were suggested to use it before going to the lake. Arriving earlier gave us half hour to enjoy the pedestrian walk path by the lake . A beautiful sight to behold. If only we have time, there is a walking trail along. The tour was enjoyable, our guide was amazing. The ride gave us the chance to explore the history behind this man made lake. We solved the relaxation we craved through this boat trip for this weekend. An enjoyable ride.

Nice lake, the rest is a disaster…read more The listing says there are 115 acres of nature trails (elswhere it says 120 acres). Prior to my visit when I asked about a trail map, there was no response. Upon arrival at the property, the only trail I was told of was the one that led from the cabin to the lake. This is very misleading, A big part of the reason I booked this place was the nature trails. Post-visit I was told no one has ever asked about a trail map before. Over 100 acres of trails and no map or markers or signage except for the lake trail. That's ridiculous. The cabin needed cleaning. There were spiderwebs in bathroom. Webs in the corners of the bedroom ceiling, a cobweb hanging from the ceiling. These webs looked like they had been there a while. The ceiling fan was covered in dust. I booked a cabin to be able to have use of the full kitchen. The microwave door handle was hanging on by a thread. It appeared someone had previously attempted to fix it with glue, which obviously did not work well. The shower handle came off in my hand, but I was able to put it back on. The toilet was running and then stopped working. Eventually, someone came to fix the toilet. The next day, the toilet stopped flushing again. The kitchen window did not close all the way, allowing bugs to come in. The screen of the screen door is not attached, and the door does not close flush with the door frame. It was not possible to have front door open because there was ample room for bugs to come in. The listing says "Peace and Quite!!! Very Private". It was not private, it wasn't even quite quiet. There is a good amount of streetnoise, the cabin is set very close to the road. Bring earplugs. Private? No. It is a very short walk to the playground because the playground is directly across the street. A fence separates you from house next door, clear view of their home and yard. Not nearly as secluded as you'd think. They asked if I would not leave a negative review in exchange for a refund. I don't do hush money. People deserve to know what to expect from this place.
