The older guy was extremely rude. I know they deal with many people and attitudes but I was very nice, spoke and no response. Was inconvenienced and thank God for the 2 ladies working who showed compassion as it was not my fault. Would NEVER recommend them and pray I never have to deal with them. Even the tow guy was rude. I said how are you 3 times and he just looked at me! Crazy! If I could give a -5 star I would! read more

Crooks if your car is towed after they close they charge you for that day, how can you charge for a day when you are not open for someone to retrieve their vehicle. Also it's a cash only business, I guess to avoid taxes also they tell you the fees are on their website they are not it's a link to a parish page that gives no information. read more

THE NASTIEST, RUDEST PEOPLE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. The old man that sits at the front desk is the biggest A*SHOLE I've ever met! Talks to you any kind of way, refused to release my car on a Sunday when it was towed on a SUNDAY because they CHOSE not to. When coming to retrieve my car after updating my registration because they wouldn't release it, I find out that I'm being charged an extra $17 and the big lazy man at the front refused to tell me why or tell me this "other companies" info because it wasn't my business which is crazy because my money is my business and also told me move to the side because I wasn't paying while I had CASH in my hand. If I could do 0 stars I would !!!! AND MIND YOU THE EXTRA $17 HE PUT IT TO THE SIDE LIKE HE WAS POCKETING IT read more

Horrible company. Only interested in collecting their daily fee. Make it very difficult to retrieve property. It is just a big ball of delay tactics with them. Not nice people. They are contracted out and they have an arrogant tone. Really wish they were fired! It's bad enough when your property is towed, its even worse when you have to deal with these folks. read more

This place is a rip off. The crooked tow truck driver was towing my bro's semi-truck, when asked instead of towing could it be moved to another location as the owner was on the way the guy agreed. He insisted on cash. My mother returned with the $800 cash and asked if she would be getting a receipt the guy became livid. He said he was towing it. She asked him not to but he was not budging. What we realized in his plan to pocket the money and screw even the crooked owners of Moon's asking for a receipt would've been proof of his dirty dealing. Fast forward the truck is at the yard and they only accept cash, this is illegal practices as I'm sure they are not reporting the money to the IRS, this is tax evasion for sure. They make up prices on the spot; they charged over $1200 for what would've been 1 day, but they didn't accept credit or debit cards so had to wait for the bank to open to get the cash needed. Report them to the state they can not continue to get away with such shady practices. THEY ARE CROOKS!!! read more

A couple of months ago, we called Travis at Moon's Towing to have a vehicle towed because someone was blocking our space. They never did show up. Yesterday, the same thing happened. We called, and Travis said he was going to be about an hour. Meanwhile, we had to park in an unauthorized space and were worried about getting towed ourselves, so my 86 year old husband stood in the rain with his walker to wait. After three hours, my husband called back to inquire about if he was still on his way. The guy yelled at him, and said "I own a multi million dollar company, and I'm tired of getting calls all day long about one car!!" I guess the implication is that he's much more important than us and our safety. read more

This tow company is nothing but a bunch of crooks. They prey on people when they're stuck and vulnerable, and then slap you with outrageous, made-up charges. It's pure price gouging and they know it. They don't care about helping anyone--just about lining their pockets. I felt completely ripped off, and the way they talked to me was rude and unprofessional on top of the insane bill. They take advantage of people in stressful situations and should be ashamed of themselves. If I could give zero stars, I would. Stay far away unless you want to get scammed. read more

These dudes are rude as can be. My dad had a wreck and they wouldn't let me help him retrieve his belongings.

DO NOT USE!!!!!! SCAMMERS!!!!!!! These people towed my dad's truck while I was getting out of my car to my a parking pass on it. My dad called them letting them know what happened. My dad kindly asked if they could bring it back since I was about to put the tag on it. The man on the phone said, "You'll only get your truck back once your pay me." Then proceeded to hang up on him. They charged my dad $200. They only had the truck for 10 minutes. Moon's are thieves, and do not care about you or the situation. I wish I could give them 0 stars, but they will be getting this unrewarded one star. read more

Absolute horrible experience trying to retrieve my car from this facility. The old white guy who works the front desk has the worst attitude I've ever experienced unprovoked!!! He is outright nasty and RACIST! Please be aware of who you are dealing with if you have to encounter these people, I recommend having law enforcement by your side, although they can not enforce that they follow their own rules! Things can escalate very quickly when dealing with such a person. He will yell and disrespect you before you can even make it into the office. At all means necessary please avoid dealing with these people!!! They are not even worth the 1 star I am required to give them. They hike up the prices and add on additional fees in hopes of not releasing your car at all so they can resell it or use it for parts. My car was towed less than 5 miles away and stored for less than 24 hours and I was charged $325! Please avoid this business, they have countless bad reviews, I really don't understand how they are still operating. DO NOT SUPPORT! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Awful customer service. Absolute terrible experience. Asked to take my car after a wreck to a body shop, had to argue to get it there. Once there, the driver didn't want to accept the payment method and took my car to their lot without letting anyone know. Everyone inside was rude, told my mom, whose name is also on the car, that it was none of her business because it wasn't her car? If you have any other options, absolutely use them. Will be filing a nice little police report and complaint. read more

Following a serious accident, a Moon's Towing truck arrived quickly, loaded my vehicle without a problem, and brought it to their yard. The following day I went to their yard to remove personal items. Since the trunk was full of heavy items, they brought my car out of the yard on a forklift and placed it next to my other vehicle. That made it much easier to transfer the items. I appreciate the professionalism and the cooperativeness provided by both the office and yard staff. read more

Listen all these reviews are all so true. I have saw these people get disrespected among other things. Yes JP and Kenner is in bed with them too, so you won't no help from them. Rude is an understatement. I will leave it at that but trust and believe they are unprofessional, Rude and much more and get away with and I won't even get to talk about the owner of the place, he is unbelievable. I'm at my friend's house who use to work there so, yes my name is Angela C. Smith and she told me to just beware and advised me not to even call Moon"s but had no choice because of JP. I didn't know it would be bad but it was past bad. ALL I CAN STAY IS BEWARE AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY . SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO MY FRIEND KIM WHO WARNED ME. read more

I've lived in this area for a very long time so i've used many many services over the years. I can say with complete positivity that i have NEVER EVER felt the disgust i felt for these thieves after i was forced to deal with them. They work hand in hand w Jeff Parish who sends them out when one of the 2 need to make some quick cash. They will tag your car for something, anything, even bc you haven't moved it within a small period of time. Once they tag it, do what you have to do to get it moved bc they will hover like vultures until they can officially take it. Once they have it, good luck on getting it back. They charge you over $120 towing fee and IMMEDIATELY kick in a $35 per day "storage" fee (while conveniently adding more every day as you're working to get the money together.) What if you live on a tight budget? May as well bring them your title bc they will do everything they can to keep you from getting that car back. They give you a letter stating that "they will work with you" and/or "set up a payment plan." LIES. They denied me that as i held their letter in my hand. They have no empathy with any situation. They absolutely do NOT care what happens to you OR your car. They are rude, non professional, unkind, and won't give up a dime to help you out. They don't deserve 1 star. They are "less than" that. i've had tough situations from time to time in my past but never have i come across a business (what a joke) that wouldn't help in some way, even if its simply to allow you a pay check or 2 to pay the fees (for sitting in their filthy lot). The only thing i could recommend is to turn around if you see their name and keep on going. They are appalling, "ALL ABOUT THE MONEY" kind of vultures that i can honestly say brought my faith in humanity down a few notches, thats for sure! NOTICE THERE IS 1 RATING AND 1 RATING ONLY THAT HAS MORE THAN 1 STAR! (i'm betting that one was placed by someone they knew or paid) WHAT DOES THAT SAY ABOUT THEM?? Loud and clear!!! I hope i never come within breathing space of one of them esp the big _____ lazy ________________ referred to as the owner. read more

dont use moons!!! no one gets back to you, they don't give a crap about your belongings. they picked up my demolished tool box and supposedly left the mound of tools that were sitting right next to it. even though I have 2 witnesses that said the tow driver picked up my tools. read more

If you are in an accident, and you see these people arrive to load your wreckage, get ready to deal with some of the rudest, arrogant people you'll ever have the misfortune of dealing with. After I was in a wreck, the tow company that responded was Moon's. The hauler driver was courteous, and handled everything with a smile. It was after hours, so arranged anything that evening was out. The car stayed the weekend, and they wasted no time warning me of the fees that rapidly piled up. When I'd call about my car, I was rudely asked "Last six of your VIN?" by someone who couldn't be bothered. Never once were we told the time they closed (and I admittedly never thought to ask). FYI, it's 5:00 pm on the nanosecond and nobody is willing to accept the cash to pay the fees. And you need cash-the exact amount, in fact, down to the penny. There is an ATM available with a no doubt usurious fee. Of course they aren't open on weekends, that'd be way too convenient. The only reasons I give even a one star is 1) Yelp doesn't let you do a zero star review, and 2) the hauler driver was very professional and friendly. read more

It's impossible to do any business with a company that never calls you back. I called about a part for my car. I was told I would be called back. 2 days later and still no call. Called them. Keep getting put on hold and left. Another salvage company called them for me saying that maybe they would get an answer where I had failed. A day later and they haven't called THEM back either. Customer service is important even in the auto parts business. read more

-----zero stars---- these people are a bunch of thieves. my elderly father was in a car accident wednesday 2 blocks from his house. i was on my way to get his car and it was already up on the tow truck. when i called to find out how much to get it out was told 224. 76, it was only there for 1 hour. what a rip off. the best part is they actually think people are going to release their vehicle to them.. well guess again? i called mardi gras towing whom i have done business with for years and paid them to tow it to his house. we noticed once we got the car home moon' s had gone all through his car looking for shit to steal. everything in the back was thrown around. all you rotten sons of bitches will rot in hell for what you do to people... your day is coming, i promise read more

This place has by far been the worst experience to date. The older gentleman was rude to my father who was with me and trying to take care of the vehicle information for I was not in a mental state that I could. After several minutes of being disrespectful and extremely rude I was told to go wait by the gate and waited 10 minutes for some assistance. After going back inside to retrieve my drivers license he said I'd need my registration. After simply asking why because it was just my drivers license, he told me he'd call the police. 0-100 real quick. This man has some serious customer service defaults and if he was the face of my business, I'd be more concerned. read more

If you are in a accident avoid this company at all costs. Call your own tow truck company. If you cannot find a tow truck, do not let them tow your vehicle to their yard. Have them deliver it to the body shop and pay. The tow truck driver will tell you they will not charge you for the two and storage but they will charge your insurance company, it is a lie. They will make you jump thru hoops to get your car released. They do not take credit cards. The office staff is clueless. We had to pay the tow fee to their yard, storage fee and tow to the body shop. read more

This is the rudest people I have ever encountered in my entire life. As soon as I walked in they informed me that sorry I'm on break as he continued to do paperwork. Then tried to charge me for days that I tried to get my car but they said they were closed 4 days for the holidays but that I still had to pay. this is the worst service I've ever seen. Obviously they have some kind of scam going with JPSO that the officer would call such a horrible horrible place!!!! read more

These guys should know better. My car stalled on me after the heavy rain last week. I pushed it out of the street during the rain( like an idiot) thinking that it would be safe until the rain subsided. However, when I came back to my car not even tow hours later, It was gone. So the goosechase started. After finding out that Moons Towing had possession of my car I was sorta relieved being that I see their tow trucks all over the place; I figured that It wouldnt be much of a hassle getting my car. Boy was I wrong. I was told by one person that I needed my title notorized, proof of registration and insurance along with my drivers license. I'm thinking no problem. After chasing down a notary and the old owner (who lived in mississippi) to have the paperwork ntorized, turns out it already was! WTH. I know that people make mistakes but damn dude. Got my car with no problem after that though. Not that any of my cars get impounded on a regular basis, but I think that the guys there could tighten up on a few things to make things easier on us. To send me on a mission that wasn't even nessasary isn't too much of an issue with me, but I'm sure that a "busy bee' could have easily been PISSED. Be sure to take a sizable chunk of time out of your schedule when dealing with these guys here. read more

I was recommended this place by an auto shop. I called them 3 times in a day few hours apart and no one answered even once. And they never called me back either. Terrible terrible business. They do everything in their power to run up their charges and gouge their customers. They make up policies that they will tell you are "standard" in the industry but not so! They are standard only when they want your car to sit behind a locked gate for 7 days (at a cost of $20/day storage) + gate fee + admin fee + whatever fees they can fabricate.
