I wanted to have hip surgery and he took that need away. He is amazing and has great bed side manners.

Wan-Mei Woo Acupuncture

Elmhurst

Easily the WORST experience I've ever had with acupuncture…read more There was a great place in Jackson Heights that I used to go to, but Comuni moved to Forest Hills, so I decided to try Wan-Mei Woo. She says all of 5 words to me before she has me cram myself face down on a medical table. ChinaHerb/Woo does not have the standard massage/acupuncture bed with a face down headrest. Instead they have a flat table and give you basically a hemorrhoid pillow to rest your forehead on. This is awful for a couple reasons: it's claustrophobic and gives no air to breathe, and also, if you have a neck issue, it bends your neck backward in an awkward position. It's not relaxing at all. She, then, uncrumpled some emergency blanket from some corner of the room, threw it over me and left (no mention of how long). Because the walls are not built up to the ceiling, I listen to two competing soundtracks and EVERY word of the other patients' conversations and check-in. The only good thing I can say is that menstrual cycle of the neighboring patient seems to be doing much better today! The doctor comes in and out of the room to grab supplies for the other rooms, but says nothing to me. After a total of 20 minutes, she comes back into my room, crumples up the emergency blanket and stashes it in the corner--I wonder if this thing is ever washed (certainly wasn't washed between my leaving and the next patient being ushered into my room). She asks if I feel better. I say not really. Digging her knuckles into the back of my head, she asks if I feel pain. I say, it's certainly not comfortable. She says, yes, but do you feel pain? I say, well, what you're doing hurts. She asks me to turn my neck from side to side, and says, it's better than when you came in. But the important thing, and the reason Woo is not trustworthy, is because she never asked me to turn my neck when I came in. So, really, she has nothing to compare and she is just fobbing me off. Then she leaves the room. I'm not sure if this means we're done or if she's coming back or what. Eventually, I collect my things and head to the front desk to pay $85 for less than 30 minutes. TLDR: The doctor was rude, the "bed" was not professional, the practice seemed unsanitary, and the experience did absolutely nothing good for me.

Current patient at Woo Acupuncture and am so happy I for Dr. Woo's clinic. I have seen an increase…read morein follicles following couple of appointments. High quality service, easy appointment process, and reasonably priced to allow for affordable continual care. Office may not be esthetically pleasing but I believe that how she is able to maintain low rates.

Eyetells Herbal Solutions - My herbal tea blend

I came across Traditional Chinese Medicine when I was researching for a solution to help me heal…read moremy TSW/eczema problem. I found a few places that offered TCM in NYC. I felt confident about choosing Eyetells Herbal Solution because the practice has been passed down from father to son, and on their website it tells you how the doctor will assess you. I called to book an appointment and explained my problem to the doctor on what I was currently going through. On my first visit, I came in inflamed and not feeling well. Dr. Zhi asked me a couple of question, took a look at my skin, checked my pulse, eyes, and tongue. He writes down the information based off his assessment to keep track of your progress. Shortly afterwards he creates a herbal/roots recipe designed to you for X amount of day and explains how to brew a tea from it. My first week of drinking the tea I made progress. I finished my first batch. I returned for the second time, he reassess like the first visit, and gave me the same recipe but for 2 weeks. The second batch of tea helped me make tremendous improvement with my skin. Fast forward to my 5th visit which was 2 days before this review and my skin is starting to look healthy again and slowly returning to normal. Aside from my own changes in lifestyle, visiting Dr. Zhi and drinking the tea was the boost and aid I needed for the recovery process. Mind you, I am not done with my 5th batch of tea, my recuperation is still work in progress. I can confidently say slowly but surely that I will fully heal. Do not rush the process nor expect miracle works. I have been taking pharmaceutical topical and oral steroids for quite some time (this is what caused my eczema to get worse and how I ended up with TSW) and I no longer use or need them due to me making changes alongside drinking this herbal concoction. Best of luck to you, and I hope this review was insightful.

So like many other people who turn to alternative medicine, I feel like western "medicine" has…read morefailed me. I have a slew of different symptoms that my drs have all blamed on stress since my bloodwork comes back relatively normal. None of these drs have been able to help me with my symptoms. Having received acupuncture before and it being helpful I decided to try my luck with TCM. What drew me to Eyetells was the additional diagnostic map of the eye. In addition to looking at your tongue and listening to your pulse and in my case a very long list of symptoms, pictures of the eye are also taken and read. After looking at my eye Zhicheng started asking about symptoms I hadn't even thought to mention, it was truly amazing. Zhicheng identified my systems that needed help and explained how they paired with my symptoms, then told me he knew exactly how to treat me to get me feeling better. It was SO COOL watching him craft my tea blend. Jars and jars of roots and herbs line the shelves and he just plucked ones down and measured and made me a 9 day supply. As the other reviews mention and Zhicheng did warn me too...the taste is quite strong. When making the tea it actually smells sweet and earthy, but it looks like pond water and will definitely give you an appreciation for black coffee, because this is about 20x more bitter and potent. I just finished my first six days of the tea and I usually have stomach issues with almost everything I eat, or at the very least bloating at the end of the day. I had ONE day where in the morning my stomach was kind of eh but other than that I felt like a normal person. I went back today to get my second round and we made some adjustments to the ingredients based on my feedback. I'm truly excited to seem to have found something that is helping my system. If you've lost hope or are just tired of being blown off by western medicine I highly suggest you give Eyetells a shot.
