Holy hell. First time in Big Sky and I am absolutely in love…read more The resort is MASSIVE...like, "I‑did‑three‑full‑days‑of‑boarding‑and-still-didn't‑hit‑every‑lift" massive. Every time we thought we were getting our bearings, we'd discover another whole zone tucked behind a ridge. Big Sky really does live up to its name. We kicked things off on what was supposed to be a "warm‑up run," but joke's on us, it was long, challenging, and honestly kind of brutal... in the best possible way. These runs are no joke and some of the longest I've ever ridden. But once the legs woke up, the rest of the day just flowed. Endless terrain, great snow, and barely any crowds. Absolute bliss. Had to pop into The Montage on the far left side of the mountain, and wow, the cocktails are phenomenal. Pricey? Yes. But you're on a mountain this bougie... what did we expect? Totally worth it. And let's talk about that gondola to tram combo up toward Lone Mountain. INSANE. The views are surreal, the exposure is wild, and the access is next‑level. Will I ever attempt the Big Couloir? Absolutely not. Do I love knowing it's there for people braver (and crazier) than me? Absolutely yes. Between the bowls, tree runs, off‑piste pockets, and wide‑open cruisers, there's truly something for everyone and somehow it never feels crowded. Big Sky has officially earned a top spot on my favorite‑resorts list. No question, I will 100% be back.

We made a reservation at the…read moreresturant (Moonlight Tabern) on Resi, which was confirmed so we showed up at our allotted time of 7:00pm. The staff said our reservation was canceled, which was never communicated to us, and we had no transportation to get anywhere else in the -10° weather. The manager kept repeating herself about saying it was members only (although that wasn't said on Resi), and tried to say there was a shuttle running into town, but there isn't after 5:35. There were 3-5 tables taken and plenty of tables open to seat anyone, and they wouldn't accommodate us with carry out or any food, and asked us to leave after saying that without being empathetic to any degree. How can you stay at a community and not be able to eat at the lodge? Also, they didn't allow credit cards? How is that acceptable in today's age?

We love the Saddle Ridge area for a few reasons: ski in ski out steps to the Moonlight Lodge pool workout facilities dining full bar spa quiet safe We actually ski Big Sky instead of Moonlight, but love being up at Moonlight because of the staff and amenities. If you are looking for an active nightlife, you are probably better served staying in Big Sky village. If you are looking for great skiing, buy an all mountain pass and explore. The Headwaters area is great.

My friends and I were staying at one of the Spanish Peaks cabins which provided full access to the Club. We were able to get delicious breakfast every morning before hitting the slopes, and were also excited to go back at the end of the day and grab some much needed drinks. Staff will help you remove your boots and will even heat your ski boots overnight! The locker rooms are also really nicely furnished. We learned while we were there that everything is only a few months old right now so we were really there in the ultimate peak condition. One of the other really cool things is that the Spanish Peaks resort is open only to guests. It has trails that connect you right into Big Sky so you can ski both resorts, but if you're staying at Spanish Peaks, the slopes there are included with your stay. Trails were wide open, freshly groomed, and it felt like we had our own private place to ski/snowboard. On Friday night there was a live band playing the bar area which was really nice. Also, I need to mention that our bartender Patrick (Murph!) was just phenomenal. He was friendly and attentive and clearly a great guy. He knows a lot about the area and gave us some good food suggestions. He also makes a mean Montana Mule. The Club was pure luxury and I would highly recommend visiting.

I can not say enough about this place, the staff, the skiing, the detail to every little thing, the food... Everything was absolutely outstanding. I can't wait to go back and visit again. I was disappointed by my experience working at Yellowstone Club this past season. For a property…read morethat caters to billionaires, it often felt like corners were cut at the expense of staff and facility standards. Equipment and amenities were frequently broken or poorly maintained--from a leaking roof and towel shortages to a malfunctioning pool and delayed rink openings. Promises made to employees--like ski days or full-club tours--were not upheld, and communication from leadership often shifted to fit the narrative. Despite working hard and receiving praise, I experienced a lack of transparency, fairness, and consistency--especially around service charges, insurance eligibility, and end-of-season scheduling. I do not recommend working for the Health and Wellness team under Serene's management. Her leadership style fostered confusion, stress, and unnecessary conflict. I hope YC leadership takes staff feedback seriously and prioritizes a more respectful, supportive work environment going forward.

YC is adjacent to the Big Sky Resort in Montana, about 8- 10 minutes drive, depending on where you are staying. The Yellowstone Club private ski and golf community has a main lodge which is the heart of the Club. Love that this community has its own shops, restaurants & bars, lounge areas, spa, fitness center which has a big load of complimentary goodies, swimming pool , business center, concierge services, fire department and more. One of the major perks for members is the activities for children. Too many activities to name! Here's a few to keep busy: movie theatre, rock climbing wall, basketball court, arts, and crafts, and an arcade all at the the youth center. Staff will also provide supervised activities and day care. We love the Michelin quality dishes that comes out from the YC. The Clubhouse offers delectable meals and our go to spot from breakfast to dinners and great afternoon drinks with expansive Mountain View's. The fire pits makes fir a cozy ambiance and the outdoor pizza oven is pretty cool. The barn also is an extraordinary place for events! Love love love everything here at the YC!
