Honestly I can't say enough good things about this place! My family was out and about all day long and it was late and we're were just looking for any place to eat. We found out this place was open and stopped in with no expectations other than we were hungry! Our waitress was 5 stars alone! Definitely kid friendly! We ate out on the patio and had a beautiful sunset! I wish I would have snapped some pics before it got dark! We started with the chips and salsa and the pretzels! The beer cheese it where it's at!! My husband said it was one of the best burgers! I think it was called the Texan Burger. My kids got a pizza and chicken tenders. Both said how good it was! I got the shrimp tacos! Make sure your water is refilled because they pack a punch heat wise! But they are super good! We don't live super close but we are already making plans to return! read more

We came to the Moonlight Inn as part of a work lunch. I was in between three stars and five for this establishment. I settled on four stars which seemed fair. The place sits kinda in the middle of a neighborhood in Vandergrift. The inside is pretty small with a nice bar, but pretty limited seating. The outside deck is pretty nice with more comfortable seating arrangements. I had the ribeye steak sandwich which was really good. The side salad I had was pretty standard, but fine. Overall, pretty good service rounds out a solid four stars. read more

Bar food with a view! It was packed the night we stumbled upon it but to our luck we got a perfect seat for sunset. As I mentioned it was really busy and we noticed only two servers so even though drinks and food didn't come out quick, they were hustling. Super nice waitress. Really small var area but very clean and cozy. Sat outside which has an amazing view. Had beer cheese and pretzels and they were super. Had 6 whole wings with dry rub ams they were huge, and cooked and seasoned perfectly (not too salty). Steak hoagie and fries was the other entree and it was really nice size and very tasty. Unbelievable. I ordered $120 of take out and left feeling horribly ABUSED by a trio of nasty women. I was paying my bill while waiting for my order at the bar and had a question on charges for items I DID NOT ORDER. My order was taken over the phone by a teenager who was rude and dismissive, leading me to make sure that it was correct before leaving there. My order included two salads and three dozen chicken wings and over $10 in charges for dressing. When I asked a woman to help me understand all these random $.95 charges, she didn't want bothered. Thirty seconds and an explanation is all that was required. Instead I was treated as though I wanted something for nothing. She corrected THEIR error, slapped a refund down and involved another woman and the teenager in berating me. When my rather LARGE order was brought out and I checked to make sure that everything I paid for was there, I endured further verbal abuse by these three. Sorry for the long story but I cannot stress enough how upsetting this was. In fairness, the food was good, the wings were delicious, but the fried cheese balls and cauliflower were very small orders and the salad had some brown iceburg in it. Never in my 60+ years have I been treated this way. Needless to say, whether these nasty women are owners or hired help, I won't ever order from there again. read more

First and last time I'll be going here. The outside deck and seating was beautiful and inviting but the food was of poor quality. My date and I both ordered chicken sandwiches. The chicken was literally a frozen patty you can buy at a grocery store. Really, who serves this?? Service was poor. Waited 25 minutes for our chicken patty sandwiches. We were there around 5 pm on a Friday and by the time we were leaving all the tables were taken, so they must be doing something right but it wasn't the food I ordered. My best friend took me here last night. This was my first time here. I ate so many special recipe wings I made myself sick. So so good!!!! Service was phenomenal!!! I will not return again. Service was slow, it took over an hour for the food to be served. The waitress walked by several times and looked at my empty glass, had to get her attention for a refill. I ordered a reuben, worst I have ever had, sliced thick and chewed like leather. My wife ordered a hamburger, over cooked and hard as a rock. How this place stays in business is beyond me. read more

I love this place! My family has been coming here for a few years. I'm a sucker for out door seating so I've always been drawn to this place! The view on the deck is amazing! You can watch the sun set The food is so good! I love their homemade Italian dressing! Best wings in the area in my opinion :-) I love the atmosphere and now my kids consider it their family restaurant! The only positive is that I didn't overeat. Service was slow and inexperienced. The apps were undercooked, medium rare potato chips and undercooked cheese balls. My wife and I ordered salads, which came about 35 minutes after we were seated, the kids' chicken straws (horrible) and pizza needed another 10 minutes. Chef and steak salad were average, my Italian dressing was bland. We both ate half. Chicken straws seemed to lack chicken. Pizza tasted like tomato paste slathered on a shell, covered in a pound of cheese. I hadn't been there for 5 years, now I know I never need to go back. My son and I ate there 3 nights ago. Food was good. The only complaints I have is that upon our arrival , there was a birthday party there. There were several of us customers trying to eat our dinner. The party had several other tables reserved. Every time a table left, they put a reserved sign on it. More of the party came in. By then it was just me and my son trying to eat our meals. The people at the party were congregating around us being loud and obnoxious. Our waitress hardly came and checked on us and was very rude! There were only 2 waitresses on duty. She never brought our check. I had to go to the bar to retrieve it! Needless to say I did not tip her! She didn't deserve one. Then me and my son had to push our way through the party to leave! They should have had a sign on the door saying out door dining is closed for evening and had something posted on Facebook. There were several customers that came in and had to walk back out and the waitress was rude to them too. That is not how you run an establishment! We will not go back! read more

Beautiful view while sitting on the deck for dinner. Plenty of time to enjoy that view. Be prepared to pay extra for things like blue cheese or ranch dressing with your hot wings, which show up with the sauce on the side so you can pay an another additional .95. Was charged $1.00 for the lemon which never made its way to the table. Fries for the table were put on the dinner plate of the neighbor child we had with us. Naturally, she dug in with her fingers so we never tried to eat any of them. Server was overwhelmed. Must have been only her and the cook working that night. Still tipped her 20%, not all her fault. Family complained about the pizza, I wouldn't even try. Wings were decent. Fried shimp was overdone. Grilled cheese looked good. Was hoping for an enjoyable evening out. read more

The food is very good! Great hometown bar with very good food and great service! We love to sit on their very nice patio. Iv gotten both the steak salad and baked cod. Both meals were exceptional, especially the fish! It was cooked to perfection moist and full of flavor! Definitely recommend this place! read more

The food was really plain, boring. The absolute worst was the potato skins. Just nasty. The potatoes were never salted when cooked, so they are bland, then the skins are filled with cheddar sauce and sprinkled with imitation bacon. The beer could definitely be colder, especially when serving to the patio. Now, when it comes to location, I loved this little tucked away place with a most amazing view. But that's all we enjoyed. Horrific! The service was painful (because there was 1 server, and she was also the bartender, cashier, and busser). It took so long for our drinks to the table that I went to get them myself at the bar. With only 18-20 in the whole establishment, it still took the food took over an hour to arrive (12 oz. steak and Chef salad). It was ordered medium-rare and came well-dead. The Chef Salad was $9 for deli lunchmeat? And, the baked potato was half-cooked and almost warm. We only had 2 drinks because no one ever checked to see if we wanted another. Another couple near us experienced the same thing with poor service and bad food. I spoke to the owner, and he removed the steak from the bill (I didn't eat it). But, not only did we end up paying $18 for the Salad and 2 drinks and tip (couldn't hold the server accountable for poor management); I still had to go home and make us something to eat. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. They should have paid us $18 for the aggravation! We will never go back. And, it's a shame; bad management. read more
