We have been to numerous Moon Valley Nurseries over the 27+ years we have lived in Arizona and love all the plants they carry. This year we decided to give our 1/2 acre backyard an update. Contacted Moon Valley Arrowhead/Peoria location as it was the closest to our house and scheduled a design consult. Travis was the designer they sent out and he was more than capable of fulfilling all our needs. We communicated that we wanted all the desert looking plants removed and replaced with whimsical, tropical, green, flowery plants and wanted our yard to resemble an English Garden. This was a tall ask as we live in the desert. We also communicated that we wanted hardy plants that would thrive as we were getting tired of replacing ones that only live a year or two then die. We walked our backyard with Travis and he educated us on placement of certain plants, example which plants would do best on West facing walls, as some would bake but other plants would love that hot wall. He told us what plants would do good in morning sun and which would do good in full shade. He basically gave us a very in depth education on plants and he came up with a design plan for our backyard that would fulfill all our needs and fit within our budget. The install was quick and easy. We absolutely love all the choices Travis picked for us and have gone back to the nursery a few times since then to add more plants to our yard. We have contacted Travis numerous times with questions on plant care and how much water each one needs. He always returns our calls and or makes time to answer any questions or concerns we may have. We visited Moon Valley Nursery this morning looking for a Christmas tree and, let me tell you, the quality of their trees is simply unmatched. I have genuinely never seen or smelled Christmas trees this amazing before. Christina helped us right when we walked in and it felt more like shopping around with a friend than anything. She explained the various tree prices and sizes to us, so that we could best navigate our way around all the beautiful trees. We had additional help from Ryan, he trimmed up the bottom of our tree so that it was even more perfect and loaded it into the bed of our truck for us. Tommy assisted me with the choice after chatting and showing him some pics of the current yard. Decided on a Tipa tree and again, Tommy really helped with choosing one that fit the area and the budget. Logan and his crew arrived to install. All I had to do was mark the spot that I wanted it planted. He and his crew are amazing! Had no idea that a jackhammer was going to be needed, but he had one. Where do I begin. We spent $9,000 here and have been disappointed since the planting. They were supposed to be large plants grow up to our retaining wall within six months. They were small along with the cactus garden. Go to Home Depot! The plants weren't planted where my husband had put stakes. They were not in the line and equal distant apart so we had to call them out to replant some. Then they called to tell us they couldn't put in our $3000 tree because the stump wasn't ground far enough down. It was their company that did it. So we had to wait to have our tree put it! Now a year later and one month the Red Push tree they say is dead! The warranty is up imagine that by one month. We believe it was a compromise tree and they aren't willing to replace it after spending that much money and time as we also used their products. Don't do business here! read more

Summer K seriously lived up to her name! She was bright and sun shiny! She helped me pick a good house plant for a celebration. Then she even brought it over to the pots with me to show me what size would work best and how to keep my new money tree happy. She also recommended and new product and gave me a pro tip to sprinkle it on the soil and then water it, instead of trying to mix it in the watering can. Paul greeted me at the door with a lot of enthusiasm and was very friendly! He then helped me out to my car even with just my little money tree and fertilizer. I am thrilled that I decided to stop by my local Peoria/Arrowhead Moon Valley nursery one morning, where I was warmly welcomed by Travis. After having our backyard remodeled with a pool and outdoor living area, it was a blank canvas. I asked Travis if he could assist me in selecting some plants. I am very happy with Moon Valley Nursery off of Pinnacle Peak and 83rd Avenue in Peoria Arizona. I worked with Tommy for many years and the Moon Valley crew, Logan and Nate (backhoe operator) and they did a great job of installing all of the tree's. 35 foot Pink Crepe Myrtle, Pineapple Date palm and another small Muskogee Crepe Myrtle. The service was exceptional and they are coming out 3 times a year to check and trim the tree's and make sure they are doing great. I do have the warranty on them, just in case! Christina made sure everything was scheduled correctly and helped with the paperwork. Life is good when you work with the experts!! read more
