Highly recommend the Conroe location. I walked in on a random Saturday and was welcomed right away by Dan Lewis. I explained the look I was going for and he understood the longterm vision I had in mind and helped me find the perfect foundational pieces to start with! I had so much fun picking out my trees: Japanese Blueberry, Pineapple Guava, and the Podocarpus. I actually came in wanting a magnolia but left with these because I had no idea about the many varieties of tree species! Dan being full of knowledge on each type of tree, carefully considered location, preferences, long term vision, and all the details to curate the perfect fit for the look I'm going for. I still will get my magnolia for my front yard next season because they were gorgeous. I want to note that I have seen comments on pricing being high with Moon Valley in general, but from my experience of seeing how healthy and well loved the trees are cared for, plus with excellent service both at the nursery and the crew putting the trees in, it's worth the quality investment and puts equity into your property. So plan a day exploring the beautiful variety of trees they carry and ask for Dan, especially if you're looking for a custom experience and have a longterm goal in mind! read more

We wanted to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to Dan Lewis for an amazing design and selection that he did for us. We have worked with him once before last year and he had set the bar high then and he didn't disappoint this time either. His professionalism, listening to his clients and understanding what they really need is exceptional. Ken and his hard working crew delivered and planted ten beautiful magnolia trees in our back yard. These are the words I will use to describe their service...professional, very pleasant, knowledgeable, very hard working, careful of our yard and surroundings, and always very polite! Now a few words about ken...he treated his crew with respect as they did him, he explained everything I needed to know about the upkeep and care for these beautiful trees. He wasted no time in helping his excellent crew perform and complete their job. But then he went a step above and beyond what was expected. he saw that our watering hose was not going to be long enough for me to reach all the trees..so he spotted another hose in our yard and attached it to the hose I usually use thus solving my problem. Since I am 80 years old, I so much appreciated all his efforts. As he left, he made sure our patio and yard were back in good shape! I visited Moon Valley Nurseries for the first time when we needed some landscaping done in our backyard. They were friendly and helpful from the minute I walked in their place of business. I told them briefly what I was thinking, and what our budget was. I emphasized color, attracting a variety of birds, as far as food and shelter, shade, etc. I was shown a variety of trees and plants and it was exactly what I was wanting. Brook came out with his planting crew and it turned out better than I could have imagined. He answered all my questions and instructed me on proper watering and care. So helpful! They also called in follow up to see how the plantings were doing and to ask if I was having any problems or questions. I was looking to purchase some Magnolia Gem trees to plant in my backyard. I searched around and read the reviews for Moon Valley Nurseries so I decided to give them a call. I called and spoke to Troy. I explained to him what I was looking for. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. I wasn't able to go to the nursery in person at the time, so Troy took pictures and sent them to me. I ended up purchasing three trees from the nursery. The only date for delivery that the nursery had was next week. I needed them this weekend, so Troy used his personal truck and delivered the trees to my home. They are even more beautiful than I expected. Being nice is common, but kindness is rare. I appreciate all the efforts that Troy did to accommodate me. I rejoined YELP specifically to let people know my experience with Moon Nursery and in particular with the employees of Moon Nursery. I had trees delivered to my new home in Woodforest and the crew that came was so amazing! Not only were they on time and the trees beautiful but they were also so helpful with other items in my yard. The supervisor, Ken had so much knowledge of all the plants. He told me how to take care of some that weren't doing very well which weren't even part of the plants he delivered. Evidently he grew up in the nursery growing business so his knowledge of plants was awesome. Everything looks great it's been several months and as I'm looking at my yard, it makes me smile. I had such a great experience with Dan Lewis at the Conroe location! They were super friendly and really knew their stuff when it came to plant care. I came in feeling kind of overwhelmed (I'm still new to the plant parent life), but they made everything easy to understand and helped me pick out the perfect plants and products for my space. They took the time to explain what each plant needed, gave me tips on how to keep them happy, and even helped me figure out a watering schedule. Our backyard has a retaining wall that is so ugly! My husband and I went to Moon looking for guidance. We knew what we wanted as an end result but didn't know what to buy to achieve the look. Matt greeted us as we walked in and took us outside to look at plants that would cascade down from the top of the wall. He helped us choose jasmine in three colors. Moon planted them the following week and the backyard looks amazing. Marsha set up a time that was convenient for us and Ken and his crew were in and out in an hour and a half. I needed to buy a replacement tree for one lost in Hurricane Beryl. Austin at Moon Valley Nursery in Conroe helped me choose the right Crepe Myrtle. He is very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. He just seems to love his job and helping people. Dre', the team lead on my delivery day, was professional and courteous; and he answered all my questions and concerns. His team did a great job planting my crepe myrtle, and they left my homesite clean. Everything, from selection to planting, went very smoothly. We have been using Moon Valley Nursery for over three years with our palm trees and their products. Unfortunately, I've lost one of my big oak trees due to tree mites. Their crew did a fantastic job on removing the tree and cleanup. The next day, the crew came out and replaced with a new oak tree and did a great job. Jonathan at the office, also did a great job on the best deal giving me and also picking out my new tree. I highly recommend Moon Valley Nursery to do all your needs around your yard. Wow what a selection! This is by far one of the best nurseries I've been to in the greater Houston area. My family and I stopped by 3 different nurseries before coming here to moon valley and I regret not making this our first stop. We were greeted right away by Austin. Both Austin and Brett answered all of the questions that we had. They walked us around the nursery and even their green house. We left with a few beautiful fruit trees and a blossoming ornamental tea tree. We also left with better knowledge on how to care for our plants in the future. We had top notch service the entire way through. Our Sales Rep, Chase, helped us select our trees and answered all of our questions. In addition, when we got home and measered the space to discover that we had bought too many tress, he adjusted our order quickly with no hassles. Brian and his team installed the trees and were professional and courteous. They treated my existing landscape as if it were their own home (that is to say, they took great care to not damage anything and put rocks and gravel back in its proper place). They insured I was happy with the orientaton of each tree, and cleaned up the excess dirt when they were finished. Great Experince and I love the result! read more

We recently bought 11 big bushes/trees to replace what was lost in the big blizzard of 2021. We spent about 20k and Moon Valley did not disappoint. We worked with Rich and he spent a lot of time with us selecting exactly what we wanted/needed. He also educated us on the proper care for the bushes/trees both after installation and in the near future. Delivery and planting went well. We had to change a couple of tree sizes because of sprinkler pipe/sprinkler valve issues we incurred during planting but that was handled easily and efficiently. We are very happy with our big purchase from Moon Valley and highly recommend their company for any landscaping needs. read more

I had a frustrating experience with this landscaping service. I reached out to them over a week ago for a quote to replace a tree in my front yard. The lady I spoke with assured me that I would receive a call back within 24 hours. Well, it's been more than a week, and I haven't heard a single word from them! It's incredibly disappointing to be left in the dark like this. If they can't even manage to follow up on a simple request, I can't imagine how they would handle a larger project. I expected better communication and professionalism. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable landscaping services. Save your time and look elsewhere! read more

This place is great!!! Year round, they have all types of trees and shrubs you could possibly want or need to meet your landscaping goals. They will come out to your home, and put together a customized Landscape plan with your input in mind. The nursery professional will then generate a quote, schedule a planting date with the trees, and shrubs that were agreed upon. Prices are a little high for the trees, but the quality, and service that you get from Moon Valley Nurseries is par to none! Done right the first time. Great experience having my Moon Valley tree planted today. I have bought several giant trees from Moon Valley in Conroe on 105. Today Brian was in charge of my planting. I could not have asked for a better person to oversee my planting. He was so nice and knowledgeable and his crew so professional with my planting and my lawn. He gave great advice on watering my tree and let me know that Moon Valley does not disappear after they plant the tree, and that I am always welcome to call with any concerns about my trees. We bought 3 trees from Moon Valley back in October and Caitlyn Jarema was our sales advisor/landscape specialist. She was awesome! Very professional and answered all of our questions. Trees are doing great. Went back today to get fertilizer and again Caitlyn went above and beyond. Helped us pick out some shrubs for our flower beds. My son and I walked in to get a pot for my wife's tree that she got to remember her sister that passed away. I know nothing about planting. But Matt, Caitlyn and Dillan and other staff treated us like family. They immediately helped me to understand they type of pot I needed.
