Kathy first sent her two installers to my home to take measurements and do a basic assessment of what would be required. She sent me three system configurations, each at a different price point. After I reviewed these, I met Kathy at her store, and she showed me some of the components she had spec'ed out. I made my decision and paid for most of the hardware. I opted for a change between that day and the eventual install, and that added to the final price. One service that Quicksilver offers that will be unknown at the Big Box is careful tuning of the components before installation. Kathy unpacks the new stuff, adjusts the settings to render the best picture and sound possible, and repacks it for the installers. The same installers arrived at the agreed-on time and spent about a day and a half at my home. They removed the old system components, installed a new electrical outlet behind the new TV, and configured all the components to work together properly. Their installation was much cleaner than the old one had been. They removed all the packing material and other debris from my home. Quicksilver deals in mostly enthusiast-level, high-end components. With a few exceptions, you won't see the same merch on sale at Best Buy. Everything is top quality, and you'll probably pay more than you would at a Big Box store, but you will wind up with a top-shelf system. I'm very happy with the choices I made, both in the components and the merchant.

The receptionist was very fake in her concern and didn't offer any help. I had to call another company last minute to get what I needed. They didn't care that I lost out on a full days work, they didn't care that I needed the work to be done today and they offered no other solution for today. I did question their lack of supplies and equipment for a deep clean. No answer. They used our vacuum. We returned hime at 4 and we weren't sure what they had done. The carpets had been cleaned prior to them coming so that didn't need to be done. Only the bedrooms had carpeting. The house didn't look clean, didn't smell like it had been cleaned, and there was so much left to do! I suggested they eat bkfst before coming the next day. i wasn't paying for over an hour lunch. The next day was more of the same...not much got done that I could see. One woman sat on the edge of the tub and cleaned one blind at a time...it took her 30 minutes to do one window. I was clearly disappointed. She asked for more money as our house was bigger than what she thought. I honestly don't know what they did. I finally just asked them to go at 4 pm. 800.00 ...for what? We were so exhausted from our move...I couldn't imagine cleaning this house. I was still cleaning when our furniture showed up from out of state. I wouldn't hire these people (there were 3) and the owner was one of them. If I hadn't been so tired, I probably would have fired them after the first day and taken them to small claims court. Get a signed, detailed contract! I wouldn't hire them to sweep my front porch. ( I should have written this 10 months ago).

I needed to get a new transponder chip for the key so it would start the vehicle since the one from the swapped housing was either lost or damaged when I disassembled the old housing. I had that key made a couple years and it worked perfectly but unfortunately (my fault) the chip was not working after disassembly. He had other customers and said it would be a wait, that he didn't know if he could do it from the valet key, it could take 15 to 45 minutes and then he stated he didn't even know if it would work. I explained the previous place had done it in about 10 minutes, and he said "maybe you should go back there." The shop which I had it done at was in Florida, so I said that was a bit far. ‍ I was courteous in my attitude, but he basically sounded like he didn't have the time or wanted to even mess with it. I would have gladly waited and paid the fee but the experience left me with a bad taste. Especially since it was only the chip, the key was already cut and the remote buttons already programmed. If he doesn't want my money or business, I'll just go somewhere else.
