Days before my surgery I couldn't get ahold of anyone the day before my surgery I show up to only find out they packed up and moved the cops ran down for whatever reason. Dangerous and Negligent: Avoid Moon Plastic Surgery** My experience with Moon Plastic Surgery has been nothing short of a nightmare. From the beginning, their lack of professionalism was apparent. The receptionist was dismissive, and the consultation felt rushed and uninformed. I decided to proceed with a procedure against my better judgment. the day of surgery, after I came home things took a turn for the worse. I experienced internal bleeding that I was not aware of until 6 days later that nearly cost me my life. Shockingly, I was told that fainting twice on the day of the surgery was "normal," which is outright negligence and is the first sign of internal bleeding, also my hemoglobin levels were never checked during any of my three postop appointments following the three day after my surgery Also, my PTT level, which is the blood test given to you to measure the time it takes for your blood to clot was high, (47) which means my blood was already naturally thin, after my surgery Dr. Nees prescribed me 800 mg ibuprofen twice a day which caused my blood to thin even more which was the cause of the internal bleeding. Post-surgery, I developed nipple necrosis on my right nipple, a condition that could have been avoided with proper care. Despite my complications, Moon Plastic Surgery has been unresponsive to my concerns. Multiple attempts by myself two surgeons and my primary doctor to obtain my medical records have been met with silence. I went for a consult at this business for a neck. Lyft and I saw the physician there, and he explained to me what would be done. I filled out some paperwork to have the procedure done and they gave me a price I was to have blood work done, Chest, x-ray and two medical clearances from my cardiologist and my primary position which I had done and all my results were within normal limits and I did get clearance from my two doctors. The day before my surgery I went in and met with the anesthesiologist and she looked at my paperwork and saw my age. I was 71 at the time and told me that they do not do surgeries on anybody over 70 years old because they had a complication with one of the doctors relatives in the past.. She then canceled my surgery even though I had all my clearances and they were all within normal limits and I was not told this when I went for my initial consultation. and they has charged me $5520 for the procedure. The anesthesiologist told me to go speak to Jose Iglesias about getting a refund.. I spoke to Jose about the refund and initially he told me that they couldn't give any more back than $500 in payments over several months because that's the way they work. it's now been six months of calling them multiple times a week. They've only returned a partial payment and they refused to pay me the rest because the surgery was canceled, but they canceled the surgery not me. I had done everything they told me to do and I'm in good health. In fact the week after they canceled my surgery since I had already had all my labs and everything done and my clearances, I went to another plastic surgeon and they did the surgery within a couple weeks. Worst place ever! Do not book surgeries here. Staff very unprofessional especially if you're not Mexican. They overbook clients, do not communicate after they have your money. They force you to buy infusions when you don't need them and offer no refunds. Doctors start at 6am and they still try to perform surgeries at 8pm and 10 pm with no rest. They are unsafe and I am reporting this company to medical board and BBB and anybody else can feel will investigate. They are playing with ppl life. If I could give this zero stars, I would. Let me start by saying that initially the staff at Moon Aesthetics come off friendly and interested in helping you get to your goals. They make you feel like they can get the job done, but then as soon as your surgery is paid for and the surgery is done, they are impossible to reach. First and foremost, I will admit that I thought highly of Dr. Nees considering what I found on the Moon Aesthetics Instagram and his work on his now-deleted Instagram. I went in for a simple Lipo 360 based off of the photos they promote on their social medias and website. However, I've since come to find out that they have stolen images from the works of other surgeons. Like, they have a table picture of Takala (a popular influencer) on the Moon Aesthetics IG page stating that Dr. Nees did her body when the truth is, Dr. Humberto Pena in Colombia did her body and has the original table pics. Moon Aesthetics also has several pictures of Jai Nice (another popular influencer) all throughout their office space and in the Dr. Nees' office where they have no problem saying that he performed her surgeries as well, which is completely misleading and false. But of course, without proper research, I fell for the trap and believed that Dr. Nees and the staff members of Moon Aesthetics would be capable of helping me reach my minute goals. (I say minute goals because my foundation was perfect, I'm an athlete who exercises regularly, but I just wanted to get rid of the stubborn fat that we all can't get rid of at the gym). Instead by the second week post-op, I knew something was wrong because I wasn't healing in the ways that they had said I would. I wasn't healing in the ways that many girls who go in for simple liposuction do. I was healing unevenly and with superficial layers of fat lipo'd. Not only that, but their in-house nurse/massage therapist SILVIA, who I paid to massage me (per the doctor's recommendation), was not only improperly massaging the fluids out of me, but Silvia was re-opening my incisions and using the cavitation on my freshly lipo'd tummy. CAVITATION IS AN ABSOLUTE NO-NO AFTER SURGERY because it leads to fibrosis and hardness. This is what also contribute to unflattering results. All of this which I have now. I've come to find out a month after surgery that Dr. Nees decided to add on a procedure that was never discussed with me, nor mentioned. Nees etched a line down the center of my stomach to create my definition to my abs that were already there. This was so violating and never ever discussed with me. And I didn't find out until I got a body scan for the pulling-sensation I was feeling in the center of my tummy. When I mentioned this to staff, they gaslit me and tried avoiding me ever since. As for their bedside manners, it is non-existent. Where in pre-op they were super attentive and excited to help, in post-op they completely ghosted me. And when they didn't ignore me, they gaslit my concerns. When I asked to speak with Dr. Nees, the Moon Aesthetics staff denied me access to speak with the surgeon I paid to perform Lipo 360 on my body! Here are the staff-members I am referring to: Dr. Nees, Jennifer (front desk), Yessica Martinez (coordinator), Mailyn Consuegra (coordinator), Charlene Montero (coordinator), Silvia (unlicensed massage therapist), Lily (coordinator), Dailys (coordinator), Orlando (medical assistant), and these are just the ones I can remember by name. Not to mention, I truly believe their surgical assistants, like Orlando, were the ones actually performing my surgery and not Dr. Nees because: 1. my lipo is so obviously uneven, there's no way one doctor did this poor of a job. And 2. Dr. Nees like many unethical medical practitioners in the plastic surgery field, performs well over 4-5 surgeries a day. Which is also something to consider if surgeons are only limited to a certain amount of hours in operation. All in all, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. AVOID DR. NEES AT ALL COST. There are so many other talented and well-skilled plastic surgeons who actually care about their patients, and their work. Love my results of my BBL/Lipo360 with Dr Neez :) The whole Moon team helped me tremendously. My flight was delayed the day I was supposed to come in for my pre op appt, when I called to let them know, they told me everything would still be okay I would just do my pre op the same day as surgery. Which was amazing to me.. the next day, I get on my flight, American Airlines LOST my bags with ALL of my surgery things in it which made me LATE to my pre op. Do not go to this office if you live out of state and do not speak Spanish or Even going to this office at all really. I had surgery November 16 2022. I regret going to this office. The whole experience was a complete nightmare. I only went to this office is because a my friend of mine went six months ago had Lipo and had a good results. I sent them photos of my body and told them I was interested in maybe a mommy Makeover , lipo , new breast implants , bbl. They told me a price and I paid them in full and scheduled my date. When I got to Miami on my preop day, I thought I would meet the doctor and he would touch my skin and explain to me why I would need a tummy tuck versus just Lipo but I never got an in person consultation and did not have a chance to meet him before the surgery at all !!!!! Half the time I did not understand what was going on because I did not speak Spanish the office was extremely unprofessional . my first sit down with them, people kept coming in and out of the room. They charge you $80 for your Covid test. There was another test I had to get done that they were out of so I had to drive down to another location/lab to have more blood work. . After I already did the mammogram ultrasound EKG and all the lab work to clear me medically for surgery the sent me in advance. They even called me the day I arrived in Miami to ask me if I wanted to schedule my surgery , they had no idea who I was. Right then I should've known that I should not be having surgery with them. Then she asked my name? ..... then I thought , what you called me? ......And I'm already a customer who paid you in full!!!!! Red flags !!!!! But I already had paid for my hotel in full I was already in Miami and already paid for my mothers and my flights to and from Miami. then I guess she got my file and asked if I wanted to schedule the other part of the surgery I wanted to get done . which was the 360 Lipo and BBL I'm glad I didn't schedule it and give them money in advance for that as well. I even brought my mom with me who speaks Spanish and they would not let her go anywhere with me but sit in a waiting room. It was never mentioned that before surgery there are additional costs . Most offices include in the total with your pain medicine given during surgery and after or if not make it clear that there will be extra fees for your medication. The bra and wrap after surgery that is not included as well. When you schedule your surgery, they should tell you that there are other things they offer that you might want to have to make your surgery less painful or a better easier recovery so you have an idea of what extra money you will need . I had an extra $2,000 I had to pay when I arrived that was unexpected. had I known that I would have used some of the cosmetic credit line I was approved for instead of paying cash for my entire surgery. It was unclear what size of breast I was getting because I never talked to the doctor . It was all just very confusing and unprofessional, but all the ladies in office sure to keep calling you, my love, as if that made anything better or they actually cared. They have you leave when you're not even conscious of what's going on. They give you no instruction for caring for your body after your surgery. You come back in next day for follow up they clean you and send you on your way. They did not tell me I should plan to stay in Miami for 10 to 12 days after my surgery to have my drainage tubes removed . They told me it would be easy to have a doctor back in my home state remove the tubes which no doctor would touch me because of liability reasons and no one would give me a check up to see how I'm healing once I came back home because of again liability issues. No doctor would see me until a year after my surgery. There is absolutely no parking at their medical building. It is a mess with all the different office they share with . you have to valet or it's pointless unless you park down the street and neighbors yards. They do not even give you best way to handle getting picked up to get back into your car after surgery. They just rush you out in a wheelchair while you're shaking and freezing when you have no idea what's going on everyone's just yelling at you to get out of the way. Once back home in Nevada my stitches broke, and my half of my tummy is infected . I sent them pictures and they put in an order to my pharmacy for antibiotics and pain meds. Now I have to wait and hope my body doesn't become more infected. I have all these open areas on my tummy tuck line that need to be free of infection before I can be restitched. every time I take off the gauze and clean my body I cry because how ugly it is and how much my body is destroyed and now I regret so much going to this office just so I can save money. read more

They do not deserve even half the stardust. We just experienced what the other reviewer Tara below did - they took $1,000 after they cancelled the service on us. They are running a mob-like business. I have reported them to US Better business Bureau and Florida oversight department. You can see their pattern- Upsell and get the money first, put in "non-refundable $500 deposit" language, THEN do a medical evaluation afterwards, knowing the client may or may not be eligible for surgery, then cancelled the service- not only withholding the $500 deposit, also retain another $500 for cancellation even THEY ARE the one cancelling on the client. They make sure they' ll make money even when the surgery did not happen out of their decision. I don't know how they could sleep at night. My daughter got in touch with them on Aug. 18, and the sales agent C. urged her to quickly deposit $4,800 because they had a "promotion." She is young and gullible, so she did. A few days later on Aug. 24, a staff D emailed my daughter and said she needed to do an evaluation. Aug. 31, they called and said they couldn't perform any surgery on her due to her past health history. They promised a full refund. A few weeks later, my credit card company got $3,800 back for me but the company withheld $1,000 and refused to refund the rest, even though they are the one who called my daughter to cancel the surgery. When I called Moon Clinic 11/10/22, Ana, who said she is the person in charge, refused to let me talk to her supervisor and refused to give us back the $1,000 they took and said it was "Company policy" that the deposit is "nonrefundable" with no exception. When I asked her to show us the "company refund policy," Ana pretended she didn't hear us and could not provide anything to prove that my daughter has signed anything related to the "company refund policy." Ana continued and said she wanted to offer us "a way out." She said "sweetheart, you can also refer someone to take our surgery service then you can get your money back." I was stunned. This place is crazy for money and will use any unethical, illegal way to rob people. She was condescending, patronizing and shamelessly telling us how she runs a shoddy clinic in like a mob. I contacted Moon plastic surgery around 3 months ago. I was interested because their prices were pretty reasonable. I looked at many reviews, I followed them on Facebook, and instagram. I looked at many pictures and found what I wanted I fell for the look. I liked what I seen. I booked my surgery and paid cash. I set up my consultation and surgery. I thought everything was ready to go. I got there everything was going pretty good. I had to do labs, EKG, all my pre-surgery work up there. All was well, until we had to go in and speak to Vivian. When we got back there she dropped the bomb, backed us into a corner and basically gave me no choice. She started adding things up. I thought I had already paid completely, oh no boy was I wrong and completely surprised. She told me the $3,750 that I paid was only for the Dr and Anesthesiologists. Well here comes the charges $490 for labs $150 for a extra fajah $75 for massages I paid for 2 was supposed to have 1 free but only got 2. They argued and said I got three which was a lie. $100 for an iron injection $ 50 for a butt pillow $45 for a stomach board They lied to me and told me I couldn't do my labs, EKG and Covid test back home. I could have and had my insurance pay for it. You see the charges went on and on They eventually got $1300 out of me I didn't intend to pay. They charged me 20% interest to use my care credit because I didn't have cash. They threatened to cancel my surgery and not give a refund if I didn't pay this "remaining balance". The only way I could have my surgery and justify the cost is if I added another procedure. Well I added liposuction to my legs. After everything was said and done I'm 6,200 in over all. I never got to meet Dr. Nees until the day of my surgery for 10 minutes. He didn't even know I paid to have my legs done. He was reluctant to do my legs. They marked me and sent me in. The office was not very clean and definitely not the typical Operation room. They monied me to death the whole time I was there. They wouldn't schedule me an appointment while I was in office. They would text me with appointments and follow ups. My results were not the best. I tried to tell them while I was there they dismissed me. They made excuses. They said it will "look better when you heal." I feel like they patronized me. My hips are uneven and I definitely didn't get the "snatched" shape they promised. No one spoke English very well. The did not offer interpreter services. I felt forced to continue forward or lose all the money I spent already. I felt like I was herded through. There were 2 ladies beside me I overheard the whole conversation because the staff was being extremely loud. They would not let them have surgery because of their hemoglobin and hematocrit was low. They were refusing to refund them and making it impossible to reschedule their surgery. I am beginning to see why their prices are so low. They don't answer their phones when you try to call and I'm 2 weeks post surgery and no one has called to check on me or my progress. The pictures are of what I got versus what I wanted. You also do not get to pick your surgeon like they promised. It is whoever is there that day. I advise you to spend the money go somewhere else. Better results is worth the additional cost. Bad experience with Moon. They advertise Dr. Nees as one of their BBL surgeons and that's who I decided to go with after researching in BBL groups online. I couldn't get a straight answer that he would be doing the surgery or in what time-frame. Others have said they have encountered "bait and switch" type behavior and I'm not willing to commit to anything without being sure who is doing the surgery. Really basic stuff that they could not get right. Communication with Moon was bad - I couldn't understand who I was speaking with, and when I did get info it was the opposite of what I was told previously. After a while it started to feel like I was going nowhere with this so I looked at other options. I found out that the surgeon I wanted has his own personal practice, so I booked directly with them. I regret not doing that sooner because it was easy and I had no trouble at all getting the info I needed. I had surgery 3/20/24 I had to be brought to the er 3/26/24. When I came for a follow up in your facility on 3/21/24. We requested a cbc. I was given 2liters of fluid some d50 and some zofran. No one ever gave me the cbc to check my hemoglobin even though I told you I fainted in your parking lot. On 3/22/24 I got 2 liters of fluid as well. I paid for massages which I never received. Having 14 pounds of skin removed is pretty extensive. Well upon arrival to the er yesterday my hemoglobin was 7. On preop my hemoglobin was 14. My blood pressure was 70/30. I have received a total of 4 units of blood as of now and 2 vials of albumin. My blood pressure is still only 90/40. I'm looking at needing more. Upon my arrival home I immediately started the lymphatic drainage massages that you guys recommended. I have done everything asked of me. The follow up care is less than sub standard and in fact quite dangerous. Also When I went into the operating room there was still a suction canister full of lipo materials from the previous patient. The anesthesiologist even confirmed that's what it was. I had to ask that it be removed before starting my procedure. The anesthesiologist asked the tech to remove it. That's an infection control problem. I have made multiple attempts to contact the office, Jose the chief of operations, and the medical director and have received no response from anyone at moon aesthetics.
