Pro-tip though, whether for yourself or someone else, a gift certificate to this place is Ah-mazing. There are two ways to record shop: scour yard sales, antique stores, etc. with fervor, or go see the professionals that have already found great records in likely great condition and pay more for that service. Enterprise obviously falls into the latter category and 4 records, at least for what I usually find, can easily get to $60. Now, if you have a $40 GC and only need to drop $20? Awesome. Hell, maybe I'll just buy myself some $30 record because I can. Now, some people say the owner can be rude, and I'd probably use the word curt, but even that was probably 1 or 2 occasions (we're all allowed to have bad days) and I've never found him to be overtly rude. He's also pretty old school... like he's probably literally been in the record selling/collecting business for at least 30 years. He's very knowledgeable and has always been happy to assist me, but know that this is not Newbury Comics or Tower Records (do those even exist anymore?). More than that though, I think his collection is unrivaled in Portland. Visit the other guys too. The more records stores that exist the better and they'll certainly have things he doesn't, but if you can only visit a couple, make sure this is one of them. Hoping Enterprise lasts a lot longer in Portland.

Eclectic but sparse inventory for sale, and mostly overpriced. I pulled two LPs that said "ask for…read moreassistance" on the slip covers, so I did, and asked the owner to open them so I could inspect the vinyl's condition and ensure the inserts were included. He complied but also seemed annoyed, saying over and over that he always graded accurately. Sorry dude, but I don't know you, have never bought from you, and am not going to pay $$ for used vinyl without inspecting it first. Given all the alternatives available these days, I probably won't return.

Perfect for early-20-somethings to mid-40-somethings with an eye for fashion but with the other eye on their checking account. I've found Agolde jean shorts, a $300 winter jacket for only $110 (which has become a staple in my Maine winter wardrobe!) and countless cute sweaters and tops at a fraction of their retail price. They have a great selection of dresses apt for wedding guests, and a solid amount of high quality footwear as well. The way the store is organized is yet another plus. They organize by clothing type and color, which makes for a seamless shopping experience and caters to my selectivity. As someone who is embarrassingly picky about what ends up in my wardrobe's rotation, and is also committed to ethical consumerism, but whose wallet can't always accommodate my tastes, the Haberdashery is a godsend. I'm always surprised at what I end up finding (and walking away with) whenever I head in. As a seller, I appreciate their model--get more bang for your buck with store credit, or opt for cash-only. I scored a genuine leather flat cap from Meyer the Hatter for $25. When I got home, I looked up the original price and it was $125! Huge steal. I then also grabbed a vintage 90s style striped fleece henley long sleeve for $20. They had your usual vintage clothes and shoes but they also had everything from MTV Raps cards to every little accessory you could think of. Everything is neatly organized by size and color, which made browsing so easy and honestly so enjoyable. I really appreciated how intentional the layout felt. And then the second room... not only do they have 3 dressing rooms but HELLO NOSTALGIA. They have a TV and a Super Nintendo setup where you can literally play Super Mario in between shopping. 10 STARS. I swear shopping here healed a tiny part of my inner child. Vinyl was no exception, we were drawn in my their window displays and wide open door ( great breeze ) The place is not huge by any means, however they sure do take advantage of the space they have. So many records in great shape and so reasonably priced! Love how laid back the staff is here, super chill vibe with music softly playing in the background of the store. Could spend so much time in here just looking through all the records. They also have some clothing, shoes and other accessories available. As well as movies, lots of VHS tapes, cd's and so many other cool items for your collection. My friend ended up purchasing a few records and was very happy at the amount she spent.
