BEWARE!!! I almost got scammed here. I came here and got a lotion on sale for $7. The cashier/owner also recommended a face toner to me. So I got 2 items & checked out and my bill was $48.95. How?? Total $48.95 - $7 = they approx. charged me $42 for the face toner. I thought wait I know this brand and it's not that expensive but the item didn't have any price tag. So I search the product online and it was only worth $6-$15. $6 on eBay, $15 on a Korean website. "derma cica toner 3w clinic 120ml" They tried to charged me TRIPLE the price!!! I came back and asked for a refund and she asked me why and had an attitude. I got my money back I said thank you and left. But I will NEVER come back here! Living and shopping in Los Angeles, I'm used to a certain kind of service; aka being stalked and followed incessantly. When I entered Mood for Love I was worried that I would experience the same kind of treatment, but I was pleasantly surprised! The owner of the store was busy working, but greeted me warmly and allowed me to peacefully shop and without interruption. The store itself is quite large and is filled with clothing, beauty products, and accessories from South Korea. The skincare and cosmetic section was a bit picked over, but I would imagine it was due to the Thanksgiving and Black Friday rush. Despite this fact, I was able to find a number of harder to find cosmetics (Hello MacQueen New York!!) and received them all at a discount thanks to the Black Friday weekend sale. The owner even threw in a free mask and gave me an additional discount on the mask bundle I purchased. If I'm ever in the OC, I will definitely stop by again! read more

Most (all*) the beauty products as also shipped from SK 4. There will mostly always be cheaper priced products of the same kind of product if you can't afford the most pricey or luxurious ones! 5. They use to have the fitting rooms open but for whatever the reason they aren't available any longer and are just there for my baby sister to wonder around when we take our eyes off her for a sec lol 6. There use to be 3 ladies working there but now I see the owner working there more often, which I'm pretty sure wasn't there before the low rates reviews happen. I say this because I myself had a small issue with the younger lady personality who I use to see there. The other midage women who I use to see was VERY kind so I doubt they were talking about her or the owner and rather most likely was the other younger lady. 6. Their new arrivals will always mostly be to the left aside of the wall where the wall separation is between the beauty products and the clothing as well as the racks that are in the center facing that same wall. 7. All the clothes on the back wall of the store to the left are indeed $5, this also includes the dresses and skirts unless otherwise told not, which is very rare. 8. I love this store! The lady who works there is very friendly and helpful, and the clothing is priced well and still good quality. There are a lot of different clothes and skincare products to choose from without breaking the bank! Not sure which employee some of the other reviews are referencing, but the lady (I think the owner) who was in there and helped me was extremely polite and made sure that I found everything I needed. Come here to trade in customer service for decently priced products. I like to wander in here to browse around every time I'm in Westminster Mall. The cashier noticed me looking at the discounted face masks near the front and let me know that things on the display are 20 for $10, motioning her hand over the display. For reference, the display had 9 sections for face masks to be placed (3x3 layout). No prices indicated except for the makeshift "20 for $10 face masks" sign next to the display. I picked out 20 masks and went to check-out. Two of them looked different but I grabbed them just to confirm price. Before I could even ask to confirm if those two masks qualified, the cashier girl quickly turned around to ask her mother if the masks were part of the 20 for 10 deal. Turns out they weren't and let me know "This one is not 20 for 10, there is a price on the back. They all do." "Oh okay, that's fine. I was just confused because they were all over on that rack next to the sign." "No only for the same sections they are part of the deal. But it is labeled on the rack. Go pick two more." (I have no idea what her first sentence meant and there were no labels to make it clear to the customer.) I don't have the energy to argue with this deranged cashier who has no idea what decent human courtesy is. I don't know why I went and picked two more. At the end of the day, they're still 50 cent sheet masks which is a pretty good deal. I just wish they improved customer service. And in reality, it's not even about that, it's about being a decent human. Would it have been so hard to say, "Oh woopsie, sorry those were in the wrong section. I shopped here 3 times. 1st & 2nd time was great, I bought a lot of things with cheap price. This time today was so bad because of the cashier, the Korean girl with pink hair. Just couldn't understand why they can hire that girl for cashier. She is so rude and doesn't want to sell. I ask her and she just shaked her head for the answer. Really been getting into a skin care routine so it's a blessing to find this place in Westminster Mall. Korean skin care is on a different level and this place has a ton of different really aesthetic and beautiful skin care products. They have good deals on sheet face mask. I bought a gold collagen essence and the older woman working gave me a discount! She was extremely sweet, heavy Korean accent, telling me all the good deals. Needless to say, I rarely get acne now a days. Haven't checked out the fashion just because it's more for women I think. But skin care is what I recommend coming here for. Oh man where do I even start?? This has got to be the worst experience I have ever had at a clothing store, ironically called "Mood for Love". The only reason I decided to stop by was because of the $5 sale rack outside the door. Also I wanted to revisit Westminster Mall to reminisce as I grew up here in the 80's when it was a bustling place. It's kinda sad to see how empty the mall is now compared to what it used to be. Anyway, so I didn't really have any intention of staying for long as I wasn't in shopping mode just browsing. I grabbed 2 items from the sale rack which I already knew was too large but proceeded to go inside to see what else they had. The store is humongous but was so terribly disorganized, you couldn't tell what was on sale because there were signs placed randomly everywhere with either 50% off or $5 on it but it wasn't clear what it was referring to but I thought it must be a close out sale. Also the clothes were all in disarray everywhere so you have to be in the mood to hunt. It was a mix of trendy stuff but majority was cheap quality items but priced high and then marked down. I managed to find some items that were interesting and was debating on whether I should try on even as the store was so empty, it makes you not want to stay for long. But I thought it can't hurt and judging from how bored the lady at the front looked, she was sitting behind the counter popping the bubble packaging, and seemed nice at first and said I can go ahead and try. After I tried on my items, I went up to ask her about prices because it was really unclear. So she rattled off the prices which was shockingly $5 for most items. I went to grab a few more items in different sizes and to see what else I could find. I had to try on the new things again and finally decided to buy a few items, plus I figured I would help support the store since most other people that came in to shop browsed but didn't buy. Anyways so as I came up to the front to pay, the lady who is an older Korean woman, tells me that for the price of the clothes they had that I shouldn't even be allowed to try on!!! I was like what? Why even bother having a full retail shop with dressing rooms then?? And I think she was bitter and just said for how much she makes and how much work she has to do, I shouldn't be allowed to try on! She also said final sale which I understood and was fine with but I wanted a receipt and she refused. She was being a total b**** to me, the only person who probably decided to patronize her store because I felt bad. Seriously I don't expect 5 star service from a cheap retail store but to be treated as if I'm doing something wrong or bad after I'm making a purchase makes me really upset. Honestly this is about the 3rd and definitely the last time I give this store a try. The customer service is nonexistent. The young lady is just on her phone doing whatever and not paying attention. I was checking out an eye cream and was holding onto it because I was debating on whether to get it or not. I eventually decided to not buy it so I went back to the same spot to put it back. The eye cream ledge was in front of her. When I was walking out of the store the young lady walked super fast to the store window to see if I stole anything. It was completely awkward in front of everyone outside. If she just stayed focus and watched the store then she would've seen that I placed the eye cream back in its right spot in front of her. read more

Not sure which employee everyone was rating in their reviews, but my first time experience here today was nothing was pleasant. The store was empty except for the lady behind the counter when I walked in. Store is clean, well organized, and spacious. The employee was absorbed in her work when I walked in, but greeted me once she finally saw me as I browsed closer to where she was sitting. I asked her for a recommendation for sunscreen and she quickly led me to the sunscreen shelves, showed me the current promotions, and left me to shop in peace, which I appreciated because I dislike when attendants follow me around as I shop. Being on a time crunch, I quickly made my selection and went to check out. She efficiently rung me up and was so friendly to me that I was brave enough to use a few rudimentary Korean words I picked up in a Korean 101 class in college. You can find a lot of good deals in this shop on stuff from Korea. I purchased a sweater and it seemed like a good price for the quality. It's not super well organized in the back, but there were many items for very low prices and decent enough quality considering the price. I was walking around the mall when I saw this store and decided to go in. I looked more at the skincare & makeup, so I can't really comment on the clothing. The clothes did look pretty cute though. They do have an okay variety of Korean skincare and makeup like previous reviews have said. I like how there are testers. When it comes to prices, they are marked up a bit higher, but it seemed pretty reasonable. The organization could be a bit better, some items were mixed with a bunch of other things and things were knocked over, etc. I'm okay with the variety of items they had, it was more of the cashier that gives the review 3 stars. I wanted to purchase a concealer, but I only saw the tester so I asked if there was a new one to buy. She just said, "No, they're there,". Didn't look at me. Didn't even try to help me look for the item or tell me where it was. She said that then went back to doing what she was doing. I understand that it's fine if you're out of a product or whatever, but I found that a bit rude/unhelpful. I wanted to purchase it, but since I couldn't find it, I just didn't bother and left. Westminster Mall finally opened after 2 months of quarantine. Mood for Love was one of the few stores that were open within the mall, so we went to check it out (to buy a gift for our mom). It's not a store we'd personally go to, but it was a clothing store my mom would probably shop in. While we were browsing the store, we over heard this older lady (maybe manager or owner of the store?) tell the younger female employee to follow us. The worker did follow us, but not in a "Hi do you need any help?" kinda following. Which made it clear that the lady sent her over because she thought we were stealing. We ended up buying one top, but come on. Also, I wouldn't say it was a race thing because we're Asian and she's Asian. Probably because we're young or something (late 20s). I don't really know. I should give them a 0 star, what the heck of their customer service. Today, I went to the store with my friend but nobody acknowledged or welcomed us. Then I decided just walk around to check some lipstick in the front, I swatched the lipstick on my hand and I wanted to try that color on my lip so I already cleaned it by cotton pad on the table and started to apply it. After that, One old employee immedially came to me and took the lipstick on my hand, omg this is so rude !!!!!! You guys do not have any note on the table that do not allow to try lipstick on customer's lip. I have been in Korea a couple time, I know their customer service is really excellent not like this. The prices are nice but I found a shirt with no tags (none of the shirts that were like it had tags) so I thought I'd hold on to it and ask the lady up front, I'm a size large and she said one size fits all, I was skeptical but bought it anyways, when I got home I tried it on and it was way to small, it showed almost my entire chest and I'm sixteen so I saw a tag way on the inside that said small, I live almost an hour away and was going to wear it for a special occasion and I love it but now I can no longer because she said one size fits all read more

Mood for love's staff are so rude to us. We feel so disrespected. We have never be treated like this before. When we first entered the store, no one welcomed us in the first place  :( My friend helped me try on some lipstick. At that time, the lady was somewhere else so we started to look around the skin care section. The lady came from no where and stood very close to us. We started  to try on the cushion and I applied it on my hand. The lady was staring at us without asking us if we need help or not. My friend grabbed the cushion packaging to ask the lady about the price and she answered us rudely. The box was unboxed already, but the lady thought my friend had opened it so she immediately snatched the box out of his hands and yelled at us. We were shocked because of her assumption. I guess she wanted us to leave the store and not try on the products. I recommend the manger to train their staff to be polite with the customers. WHERE DO I EVEN START?.....never had I been treated the way I was treated there today. The second my friend and I walked through the door, the experience was far from pleasant. The employee did not acknowledge us. She was on her phone watching whatever she was watching while other customers including myself were browsing through the store. I decided to check out the skincare section since I've been to Mood for Love before and have been happy with my korean skincare products that I had purchased there. I was checking out the spf serums which are located right in front of the cash register where the employee was lazily sitting watching her phone which was obviously more important than her customers.Not once did she speak to anyone in the store...not once did she acknowledge anyone..and not once did she look up from her stupid phone. Anyway, I continued to browse to check out their moisturizers and try some of the sample. My friend and I were trying it on and I was about to be convinced to purchase one I liked when out of the nowhere, this rude ass b**** snatched the container out of my hand (still no words coming out of her mouth), put it on the shelf (mind you she didn't even set it in it's correct place), and started acting like she was organizing a messy shelf/ mess we made. My friend and I took a while to react to this as this was so abrupt. I am still in shock...this had NEVER happened to me before. I don't know what her deal is, but she NEEDS TO GET FIRED. this is no acceptable way to treat any customer. I have no idea what her deal was, or what she thought was going on, but she obviously has issues, and by the looks of the store (super empty and lack of customers), I'm sure I'm not the only one she has lashed out to like this. I am very disappointed as I had shopped here before because of the variety of Korean Skincare products, but I plan on never coming back. MOOD FOR LOVE...you've lost a customer. Customer service was horrible, she was on the call with someone talking very loud without even greeting any customers coming in. The store is very disorganized and messy. You can't even tell who are the workers, and I believe one of the employees that work at the cashier was talking sh** about some customers in Korean. With the amount of level customer service, and someone talking bad on customers should be no longer in business if that's how they treat their customers. The store is cheap, but the quality of these are very low. She imports these clothes from Korean, and I am sure if you can find the source of where she is getting them you can get them really cheap. read more
