Having an amazing place like this that offers such fabulous Allergy Friendly Desserts and ice cream is a dream come true! The staff are always friendly, and the treats are always fabulous. The new location in Fort Wayne is perfect, and is a beautiful clean space. A very minor thing for me, is throughout the growth of the store, and new staffing, items on the menu are often made differently depending on who is on staff. I've never been unhappy, and always enjoy, but some items and how they are made (specifically tumbleweeds) can be very different! As a diabetic, I absolutely love that Moo Over offers sugar free options, not just for their ice cream, but for other desserts too. They truly think about everyone, with choices for all kinds of dietary needs, including nut free. I live in Indianapolis and have tried just about every plant based, sugar free ice cream out there, and none come close to Moo Over's quality. The texture is so smooth, and the flavors are a perfect mix of creative new favorites and timeless classics. What really makes this place special, though, is the staff, they are always so kind, welcoming, and accommodating. They take the time to answer questions and make sure everyone leaves happy. Great place. Stopped by when we were in the area and saw it was vegan. Flavors are great. We got the cinnamon cheesecake and cherry chocolate chip. Inside is cute. The owner is very nice and let us sample many of the flavors. There are games in each table and we played Trouble while we ate. Had the chocolate chip cookie dough truffle also and very good. Got to go to my husband's cousin's wife's dessert shop today in Columbia City. Everything is gluten free, plant based, vegan & refined sugar. Y'all....She's an absolute evil genius when it comes to this stuff. July is strawberry month so we definitely had to have some of that. We got the strawberry banana tumbleweed first. Fantastic. Then we took home some strawberry macadamia nut cookies & chocolate chip cookies. Chocolate Ho-Hos. A Millionaire Bar & some Lemon Cheesecake Ice Cream. Yes. Yes. And yes! We also got to sample a bunch of different ice cream flavors. They were all wonderful. Service was great as well. Everyone was super friendly and extremely helpful. It's really cool to be able to satisfy your sweet tooth without feeling like a bloated wildebeest afterwards. The shop itself is super cute as well. Wishing you much success Julie Hurd! Wow, so excited about this place. Being gluten-free and dairy free it's hard to find great ice cream alternatives, but this place is the bomb! Thank you so much for a fantastic shop! Would definitely go here over and over again. The coffee crunch was amazing. The salted caramel was even sugar-free, the waffle cones with that hint of cinnamon... yum. Didn't try any of the pastries as I was in the mood for something cool and refreshing, but I'm sure they are delicious also. They have all types of ice cream desserts; sundaes, tumbleweeds ( like a blizzard etc. ) And instead of getting a scoop of ice cream they call it a shovel because everything is plant-based. Holy cow! My family has about Moo-llion different dietary restrictions including vegan, gluten-free, and keto and we were over the Moon when we found this place! I had a Tumbleweed (which is their version of a "Blizzard") and I'm ready to tell DQ to Moo-Over already. Delicious! All three generations from grandma & grandpa down to the little two-year-old kiddo had a blast here. We even picked up an apple pie for the Fourth of July and we can't wait to come back this week to try even more flavors! 5-stars all around! read more

Stopped in here after lunch at a nearby hot dog and burger joint. We're not from the area and had spent the day hiking at Chain O' Lakes. I didn't realize they specialize in locally made, non-dairy ice cream until after ordering. I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty it was! We were the only ones there at the time and the nice owner told us all about the ice cream and how she makes it herself. She mentioned they do blind tasting events which sounded pretty fun (and delicious). They dishes they use for the ice cream are super cute pots with shovel spoons! In addition to ice cream, they had other sweet treats. We had some of their cider donuts that are gluten free. They had good flavor but as someone who doesn't have an issue with gluten...I didn't prefer them to "normal" donuts. They only negative aspect was that it was quite expensive. We were finally able to try out Moo-Over in Columbia City yesterday. What a treat! We had the Whiskey Peach, Strawberry, and Mint ice creams. I am VERY sensitive to the taste of anything sugar-free; I've trained myself to taste it so the sweeteners don't trigger my fibromyalgia. Let me tell you!!! The strawberry was sugar-free and I DID NOT TASTE IT! It was very clearly labeled and displayed as sugar-free, I just did not see it LOL. I only realized it when I took my cute little pot & shovel inside to the dirty dish bin and saw the sign. Julie was absolutely amazing and let us taste the ones we were interested in before choosing. You can tell this amazing woman loves what she is doing & providing. I HIGHLY recommend Moo-Over if you are lactose intolerant and want some good ice cream. This is the best place to ever happen to Columbia City. Especially for people with food allergies! I haven't been able to eat gluten or dairy going on 4 years now.. This is the first time I've been able to eat things I used to love like ice cream, ho-hos, Cadbury eggs... The list goes on.
