The most absurdly dizzying array of milkshakes I've ever seen in my life! If you can't find a flavor to your liking at Moo Moo's, I don't know what to tell you. Located conveniently in the Covered Market, I loved grabbing a treat here after an afternoon browsing the wares and people watching. Great selection of Chocolates, Biscuits, Sweets etc. But have been twice in the last week and both times it was terrible. I feel like the milkshakes were so thick, the straw did not work. In the end I used a spoon. Also the toppings were invisible and tasteless. I think throughout the years they are going downhill with the top tier service they used to give every customer. read more

This is a hole in the wall/food truck style milk shake stand with more flavours than you can even imagine! They need to categorise them under lables that include chocolate bars, cakes, biscuits, smoothies and more. I think they must take say a whole chocolate bar and whizz it up with a serve of ice cream. I opted for a kinder bueno white shake, and that's exactly how it tasted! Some flavours are seasonal and of course stock dependent, with that many choices, i don't know how they keep up! And starting at £2.50 for a small, it's not bad, not bad at all. If we're ever in Oxford again, I'll most likely be trying out a different shake! read more

It was a hectic day of wrangling kids through wedding rehearsals, unproductive errands, miscommunication, and July heat. Moo Moo smoothie was the perfect afternoon treat. We chose the black beauty and the honey dew mooless, only to be told that they were out of apple juice. They substituted cranberry juice in the black beauty and orange juice in the honey dew. We got the medium size, and they were perfectly refreshing. Though I enjoyed the honey dew, I would like to get it next time with apple juice, as I tasted more orange than honey dew. Mars bar milkshake please! Candy, chocolate, cake, fruit, treats. Anything you like! Easily the most popular spot in the covered market, a long line drew us to Moo Moo's on a rainy day in Oxford. A large group of kids who obviously just came out of school were excitedly ordering their milkshakes, building the excitement for us as we waited in line. Yes -- it's true -- you can order from a menu of literally HUNDREDS of options to be added to your shake. I chose a Mars bar, which was absolutely delicious. I saw a review that a person was a bit disappointed that the milkshake tasted exactly how they would expect: ice cream, milk, and the topping of their choice. Well, yeah! I loved this stand. It's a great place to pop by for a quick snack on your way to see the sights of Oxford. I had a mango mint smoothie that was fantastic. This stand is located within Covered Market. It was a little busy when I went there and the service was quite quick and accurate. Would definitely recommend. I came to this place expecting a typical milkshake experience. I mean, I've had so many good milkshakes in my life and, to be fair, they're a hard dessert to mess up. That being said, they also rarely wow me; usually they're very sweet and yummy, but not legendary. I ordered a small blueberry muffin milkshake, and WOW. Best milkshake. I've ever. Had. I was floored by how many delicious options they had in the first place, and both my boyfriend and I very much enjoyed ours (he got something caramel... caramel cake perhaps?). I especially loved the ground up muffiny texture the milkshake had. 10/10. Would definitely go back. OH MY WORD. So, I come from America, land of the chubby, sweets-loving people, inventors of the milkshake, and I have to say that at Moo Moo's, they do it right! Elsewhere in the UK, while I was studying abroad, most of the other milkshakes were watery compared to their thicker American cousins. They were practically flavoured milk. When I arrived for a weekend away in Oxford, my friends and I kept seeing pink cups ALL OVER THE CITY. When we hit the the Covered Market and saw a massive line for this "Moo Moo's," naturally I jumped in line to see what the commotion was about. The first thing that caught my eye about this huge pink stand was the enormous list of mix-ins that you could have in your milkshake. Customisation abounds! Aero Mint, Oreos, Lion Bar, peanut butter, red velvet cake, etc....! I went with the After Eight mix-in and when I had a sip of this gloriousness, it was SO GOOD. The perfect thickness, richness and sweetness. And it's RIGHT ACROSS THE WAY FROM BEN'S COOKIES (see my review for that). I'm proud to say that though we spent a weekend in Oxford, we visited Moo Moo's 2-3 times. If I ever get a chance to revisit Moo Moo's, Oxford will be on my-- I mean, if I ever get to go to Oxford again, I'll be headed for Moo Moo's. :) (Really though, Oxford is a neat place to visit. I'm very confused about Moo Moo's. It's obviously a very cute mom and pop shop (her grandmother bakes the brownies for the chocolate fudge brownie shake), but it's overrated. It's a very simple milkshake and kind of overpriced. I got the Daim Bair milkshake as was suggested by everyone, and while it was good, it tasted exactly like what it was...blended Daim Bair and milk. This place is more of a visit once to say you've had a Moo Moo's Milkshake, and I can see why everyone loves the milkshake place. Honestly, though if you're in a time crunch and are trying to find local Oxford shops I would go for the Daim Bar Ice Cream from G&D's. Three stars for amazing employees, quick service, and a good milkshake, but I can't justify 4/5 stars. However, I also came in with the highest expectations as all my tourist friends said this place was an Oxford "must have." Ironically, I didn't see very many students there, except for the younger (13-16) visiting ones. Set your expectations low, be adventurous, and it'll be five stars for you. read more

You really have never had a milkshake until you have been to Moo Moo's. Located on the High Street edge of the Covered Marekt, my housemate and I visit Moo Moo's nearly every time we are in town. My standby is one with a Daim Bar, however my housemate is a little more adventurous even trying the Chilie and Ginger yesterday. During the spring & summer (i.o.w. high tourism period) you can often spend up to 10 min in line and another 10 min waiting for your milkshake but it is worth it every single time. Oh, and don't forget to pick yourself up a loyalty card. They employees here are very nice and are extremely good with dealing with the extensive hordes that can gather outside regardless of how impatient they can sometimes be. read more

Wow. This place is so good that I came here twice in a day. My first visit featured a delicious smoothie, but while I was waiting for it to be prepared I saw the wonderful list of milkshake options (well over 100 choices) and I started feeling slightly remorseful about my choice. So I came back an hour later and enjoyed a fruit salad chew milkshake and it was oh so very nice. Made with soy milk so something healthy to go with the sugar and chocolate. The downside. Well the popularity of this place means that there is a bit of a wait for your drink and this part of the covered market can get quite cramped with people also waiting. Inside Oxford's Covered Market After a bens cookie about 10 paces to the right you will find Moo Moos milkshakes! every type of milkshake you could dream of! i like to mix and match with sesame snap and troblaron, i also love skittles, strawberry cheesecake, and blackjack! they are under £2 for a large one and there is no need for lunch as you feel so full after! they are calorie-tastic but you can choose from healthier options..dont ask me what they are i can only pay attention to the super sweet things when im there! and dont be afraid to ask for your own mix! you can even buy chocolate bars and sweets that they use if you ask nicely they even have a stamp and once you get 5 you get a FREE milkshake! Situated in the lovely Covered Market in Oxford, Moo-Moos is a stall specialising in milkshakes and smoothies. Whilst there is the inevitable strawberry, chocolate and vanilla, Moo-Moos also offer flavours of milkshake that you had never really considered. Chilli and ginger, melon, battenburg and jam tart are amongst some of the flavours available for those with more adventurous taste buds. Having sampled both the smoothies and the milkshakes, I definitely favour the milkshakes. The smoothies are no doubt healthier but I found the flavour in them to be a little thin, but other may feel differently. You cannot go into Oxford city centre without seeing someone with a delightful moo-moo's cup. The cow immediately is easy to recognise and as soon as you've seen one you must have one yourself! They offer an amazing variety of different flavours and combinations; I have taken my friends and relatives there several times and always tried something new. Although it isn't in the easiest place to get t once you have found it on the outskirts of the covered market you are greeted by a huge queue of people, The queue is always worth it though because by the end of it you know you will be enjoying a delicious smoothie. This is a great little shop, selling milkshakes with a huge variety of flavours - they mix up ice cream and milk with loads of things like chocolate bars, cereals, sweets and fruits. Be prepared to queue for this as it's always really popular - it's not a huge shop so there's only a limited number of machines. I like the Refresher's shake, if you're into sour sweets give it a try. It's fairly good value for a little treat on your way past. Be warned - only for those with a sweet tooth! read more

Wow, I had my first Moo Moo's Milkshake yesterday, it was AMAZING! I have been living in Oxford for 6 years, and I can't believe it took me so long to discover this place. There is so much choice of flavors, but after much deliberation I went for a Fox's Ginger Crunch and it was delicious. Really thick and creamy, so roll on summer, I can't wait to try the other flavors. Great milkshakes. You can get just about anything in a milkshake at Moo Moo's. Loyalty card gives you a free shake after you buy 5, which is a great deal. For simple milkshakes (Oreo, chocolate, strawberry, banana, etc.) I think that there are better places to get them (Gourmet Burger Kitchen, for example), but if you're in the mood for a Rolo or Twix or Cadbury Dairy Milk milkshake, this is the place to go. At first the concept of a jellybean or a marshmallow milkshake sounds a bit strange but trust me they taste amazing and the recommended specials combinations are to die for. They have an awesome selection of flavours and if you do eventually run out (thats over 200 milkshakes later!) if you ask nicely they'll even make up special flavours for you! Moo-Moo's is a bit like Shaken Stephens, but is literally just a stand in the Covered Market. Its main speciality is milkshakes, and there is an enormous list of things to rot your teeth and other sugary goodies, all of which can be combined to make a yummy smoothy. The sizes are actually very generous - I thought the small one looked too small, so went for medium, but respect to anyone who can finish something so rich and so big! There's something very satisfying about picking the most unlikely of ingredients and watching the staff merrily mixing them all into oblivion. Just watch out: some of the ingredients aren't very easy to drink through a straw - marshmallow and crunchie bits are remarkably stubborn, but there's nothing stopping you scooping them out at the end! The walls inside the stand are also fun for looking at - covered in Moo-Moo loyalty cards, some with doodles or signatures on, showing just how popular the place is. Went to Moo-Moo's last Saturday and it was an absolute joke. There must of been about 15 people waiting for their milkshakes in the most disorganised system I have ever seen. It is a tiny corridor to que in, you have to order at one window and walk down to the other window to collect. The guy in the order window, just carried out taking orders regardless of the huge pileup happening outside. We ended up waiting nearly 15 minutes for our order, which is an absolulte joke for a blended chocolate bar! read more

Well priced milkshakes, made to order and, unless you go in the middle of the afternoon on Saturday, is generally very quick.
