I have an 8 yr old and a 9 yr old, and you know they keep me busy back and forth to the doctor! Quite often, I need to see someone right away, and their regular pediatrician is on call at this location once a week, and I tend to set appointments for the kids to see her here instead of in Olathe by the hospital. (I live in Shawnee, so the convenience of the drive is much better!) The walk in is awesome, the doctors and nurses are all awesome!

I was treated like a junkie when talking about medication. I was medicated and diagnosed with adhd in the past but a 40 mg vyvanse prescription scarred me for life as a middle school aged kid. They wanted a drug test. At the time, I had been smoking. I admitted that, and they promptly denied me care because they said I'd sell it in college. I have my diagnosis. I gave yall my diagnosis. Is that not the requirement? I even offered to quit, take a drug test after three weeks, and come back. They denied that too. All because Dr Guevara over there is scared of his license being put in jeaprody. You want your patients to tell you guys the truth, yet when they do, it's thrown back in your face. Even Dr Brockmeyer treated me like a 10 year old child. Absolutely rage inducing. Never ever recommending. My whole family is no longer in his patient base.

I actually arrived a little early and expected a wait, so I grabbed a magazine and sat down. The waiting room was spotlessly clean, extremely comfy and had nice, peaceful background music playing. I started flipping through my mag and only got to the first few pages and I heard someone call my name, I almost ignored it as I thought "no way they could be calling me to go back this soon." I was greeted with a pleasant smile, and asked to come back to the area to be weighed in and taken directly to the room. All vitals were taken, everything was a breeze, and I was told the Dr. would be in soon. Within just a few minutes the Dr. came in and went over my details. He took the time to ensure my data was succinct and verified everything was just like it should be. He was extremely kind, upbeat, and acted like he actually cared about my issues. I went to pay and the two ladies at the desk could not have been more kind, everyone in the office was! My meds were prescribed and when I went to the CVS, had already been downloaded and were being processed. I don't normally write reviews on Drs., but this experience was so outstanding I had to share it.

Once arriving, the check-in process is smooth. New patients must present ID and insurance. Once you're in the system, only an updated insurance card is needed (if applicable). I always feel welcomed here and that's why I keep coming back.

I had to do the dreaded annual biometric screening for my health insurance which is always a pain…read more I Had set an appointment with my primary doctor elsewhere but something came up on my end and had to cancel the appointment. Time was ticking for me to get my results to my insurance so I called Arbor Creek hoping I could get a same day appointment. Unfortunately they didn't have any openings (curse you back to school physicals!) but the receptionist told me I could walk in without a problem. Yay! When arrived there was a line to be checked in. Not a good sign. I signed in and waited in line to talk to the receptionist for about ten minutes. When I finally got to the front she said I had to sit down before she would take my information as they go in order of the sign in sheet. Makes sense but they should definitely make that known so I didn't have to wait in line for nothing. I settled in a chair thinking I'd be waiting forever. Thankfully my name was called quickly and the receptionist couldn't have been nicer. I was called back to the room about five minutes later and everything fell then on was smooth sailing. Everyone from the nurse to the lab tech was super friendly. This is kind of a trek from where I live but I would definitely drive the thirty minutes if I was in a pinch or if was in the area.

Now she went in and asked for a physical, which my insurance pays for 100% no co pay, they charged her 40.00 copay at time of visit. my daughter not knowing this paid. I called the clinic and spoke to the receptionist, who verified that she scheduled a physical, then I spoke to the office manager Misty, who stated it was a work physical, and they consider each physical a different type, such as work/school/personal. I verified with insurance there was no such thing as different physicals. Then I tried to call the billing office for 2 weeks, multiple times a day, and Brittany never answers or returns calls, I then called main hospital who sent me to the billing supervisor, who was extremely rude, she said they sent it as a regular office appt not a physical. and she had no intentions on changing it. therefore my daughter should get a refund for incorrect coding, because they decided she came in form something other then what she stated. This is now being disputed. WATCH YOUR BILL IF YOU GO HERE, THEY ARE KNOWN FOR LYING AND CHEATING.

The person I spoke to was so patient and explained everything clearly to me and honestly I don't think patients calling in to figure out a bill is generally something they look at as a positive experience and most people would just want to avoid it all together however the experience I had with Tiffany T. was so wonderful to me. She took the time to help me understand the balance that I had and make it a completely positive call. I hope I never have to handle any more billing situations (this bill was my fault and not College Parks error) however if I do have to deal with it in the future, I hope I get the same person next time. She was such a joy and made this process completely painless. I'm sure this is the way she normally treats people who call in with billing concerns however I hope she knows it's the way she treated me as a human and made my experience wonderful that makes billing interactions less stressful. She is an asset to this company and I hope Tiffany knows it's these experiences that she provides to patients at College Park Family Care that keeps the patients loyal, at least for my family. It's the little things that matter so thank you for doing such an awesome job!

I was introduced to this specific one in high school when it newly opened. I met my new Primary Caregiver - Dr. Holly Kaufman - and fell in love...as is she's awesome! :P The whole place has a great atmosphere. There's always music playing - Christian music too because I believe they are a Christian organization. The office people are very kind and helpful, the nurses are kind and considerate, and Dr. Holly always makes me feel at ease. It's like having a family friend for your doctor's office. I've been to many other doctor's offices where they have glass windows on the front desk and locked doors to enter and leave the doctor's area...but here it's all open and easy flowing. I love that feel. It makes me feel more important and relaxed and less stressed and imprisoned.

WORST OF ALL - I called with chest pains (thinking I had Covid issues I was obeying CDC instructions to call my GP first) only to find they were ALL on Spring Break...! I couldn't get access to any clinician (couldn't get past the officious receptionist). So I hung up & called a NP in the family, and was advised to get into the ER immediately. Bottom line - 3 weeks now since my heart attack and still NOTHING from my doctor or anyone in the practice. Pretty appalling. I am done with trusting my health to this place and I would never recommend anyone go there. But hey - maybe they just hated me...?

But then we got Dr. Kallie Foss, M.D. She is FANTASTIC!!! Her bedside manner is unbelievable, she is very knowledgeable about what is ailing my kids (and trust me, with two severe asthmatics and kids who have upper respiratory infections regularly - her knowledge and trust is key!) We trust Dr. Foss implicitly. In fact, today I went to a walk in doctor and they said my son had fluid in his middle ear. There wasn't anything we could do but wait and see if it develops into an earache, or a fever. His pediatrician said that's crazy! We're trying to get him well enough for 30 days so he can have his tonsils and adenoids out, and Dr. Foss prescribed him an antibiotic and said at the first sign of pain or fever, go ahead and start the antibiotic. The other doctor wanted me to wait, come back in, and go through this whole process again in a day or two. In addition to today, Dr. Foss has been on constant watch for my kids with their asthma and upper respiratory issues. Allergies are crazy with them, too, and she's ever vigilant! She is - in my opinion - the best pediatrician around! Caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, personable, and incredibly likable! If you want to get to know Dr. Kallie M. Anyway, I was introduced to Dr. Holly in high school. I had always gone to College Park Family Care Centers for doctors, but didn't like my previous General Care Provider. When The College Park branch that Dr. Holly is currently in opened up, my mother set up an appointment for me. it was very nice because the new location was a lot closer to home and school, so it made going to the doctor a lot more convenient. I've always felt very comfortable with Dr. Holly. I can talk to her about anything (as you should be able to with your doctor). She's always very kind and understanding and seems to sincerely want to help in all situations. She's even told me to bring in business cards for my photography company in order for her to give them out to clients who need the services. She's also the only gyno that I've ever had. Growing up I always heard scary stories about well woman's exams being hated, but Dr. Holly is good about distracting you with easy conversation and the whole thing really isn't that bad. She's always great about walking you through all of your options with any problem. She also has a little girl so you always get to look at adorable photos while waiting for her! I desperately hope to move back one day and get my favorite doctor back...I'm not a fan of my current one!

However, I can't say that I have confidence in her ability to treat patients in the most effective way. The office staff at College Park is difficult to work with, too. Over the years, I have been referred out to an OBGyn, Endocrinologist, Cardiologist, Pulmonologist, Dermatologist, and I'm sure other "ologists" I'm forgetting. Most of the time these specialists are more expensive to see and they often tell me I don't need a specialist that it could have been handled by my family physician. Today, I have a form that is needed for my employer. It has been less than a year since the form was signed last year. The office staff refused to ask if the form could be signed by Dr. Holly without being seen. It is the last straw. Everything with this doctor is more difficult than it needs to be and I can't say that my health is benefitting from the extra steps and money it takes to see her.
