Wife developed food poisoning for two days -- probably from unasked for carpaccio --leading to curtailment of our vacation in Algarve. Huge scene when our 17-year-old waiter and 20 year-old manager would not adjust the bill. The Head bartender came over, made adjustments, then made sure he pressed all the buttons on the credit card machine to assure the bill was paid in US dollars, not euros, thereby increasing the amount of the bill by 5%. Overall, the single worst, but thankfully only bad experience we had in Portugal. Stay away! !
